Island Style Mochiko Chicken (#1 fave!): Crispy, but moist inside, with a sweet sesame sauce that you'll die for.Pake Style Wok Seared Pork: tons of flavor. I prefer it to the Kalua Pork Hawaiian Puaa, both for the flavor and the texture.Prawns "Broke da Mouth Sake Glazed": a lot like classic shrimp scampi, *perfectly* cooked, with plenty of sauce. SO flavorful, but not as filling, if you're hungry. The Chicken Katsu was perfectly cooked, with an excellent breading that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside--and it's a decent portion of chicken as well. The dipping sauce was a pleasant surprise: I assumed it would be a more classic teriyaki style sauce--and it KIND OF is, but it's actually more complex, with some piquancy, and flavors that I can't pin down. Respect. The sides are perfectly conceived to go with every dish. You'll be really grateful for both the exceptional mac salad (umami bomb!), as well as the rice served two ways: under the meat (to absorb the sauces and spices), and on the side (dusted with what appears to be a furikake-style seasoning--or maybe that changes, depending on the dish). These are friendly people with an excellent product. Give them your business. ONE THING THOUGH: they're often closed from 3-4:30ish, even on the weekend, with a 'we'll be back soon' sign. I've missed them several times.

I recently hit up this spot and it was an experience worth talking about. First off, the food was on point everything tasted so good! You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were a perfect blend. The service matched the food really great. You didn't feel like just another customer; they took care of you like you were a regular, even if it was your first time. You could tell the owner genuinely cared about making the whole experience enjoyable, and it made the food taste that much better!!!! Deff coming back!

I've been to the Heist multiple times but this was my first time Island Style Grill. The truck appeared in excellent condition with no obvious issues. The gentleman in the truck was very helpful, friendly and passionate about his food. I ordered the Mochiko Chicken, Kalua Pork and Kalbi ribs which was their special. I'm told it will take about 15 minutes and given a beeper. I wait in the covered table area that has multiple heaters set up to accommodate for the cold weather. This space has many tables that are cleaned regularly. The beeper goes off, I get my food and head home. The Mochiko Chicken is crisp on the outside and super moist and juicy on the inside. The sauce adds a great flavor to the dish. The Kalua Pork is exactly what I hoped for - tender and flavorful. The Kalbi ribs were spectacular! Cooked medium rare, so tender and flavorful I could eat these all day. Absolutely incredible! The macaroni salad was really good and rice done well. I will definitely return for this great food

Woodstock meets Hawaii thanks to the Island Style Grill. Tucked away in The Heist food cart pod, ISG is authentic and tasty food straight from the islands. I went with the Paniolo chicken and it came with three chicken breasts! Which I wasn't mad at since it was so good. The mac salad is classic and simple - exactly as it should be. My buddy had the Broke da Mouth prawns which is a great name considering how much buttery goodness they pack into those little guys. The chef/owner is the real deal and so friendly. This will be a go-to spot when I need some good vibes and great grinds!

Great food, awesome service, and the warmest people own this truck. As an Islander myself, this is my new favorite food truck. Drove an hour to this pod and we'll be back for sure.

This is my favorite Hawaiian food spot in town! So far we've tried the garlic shrimp, teriyaki chicken, and mochiko chicken plates and everything has been excellent, but for me personally the mochiko chicken is the standout! I compare every one I try to the first one I had on Maui, and the one from Island Style is *perfect*, which makes sense because the owner is from Maui (and also a super nice guy)! The rice & mac salad are also just right - rice is cooked perfectly and the furikake on top i flavorful. The Mac salad isn't too heavily dressed and also just right texture-wise, with the nice mild flavor that cuts through the rich sweeter meat dishes. Definitely stop in here if you love really great Hawaiian food!

If you're near Woodstock, you need to go to Island Style Grill. Steven's service was fast and we even had time to talk story for a little while about where he was from and who we both knew.I ordered the mochiko chicken teri chicken combo. (if you know you know) and there was enough food to have leftovers for lunch the next day. Will definitely be coming back again and again...CHEE HOO!!
