I'd give it a 3.5Environment: This was a really big buffet! One side was where you got food and the other side had lots of seats. There were some areas where it could be divided so if you have a big party or something similar, you can split it up. Staff: we had a huge part/eventy and yet the servers were still very kind and patient with us. Def. an extra star for that because usually many servers would look impatient or rude but they were consistently cleaning and serving us. Also, we weren't the only customers, there were lots of people during the weekend so I appreciated that.Food: maybe I haven't gone to a buffet in a really long time in Portland, I thought it was okay. Lots of options and the things I recommend most were the fried dishes and their veggies. Some of the fried things I had were the butterfly shrimp, fries, springrolls, etc and they were all good! The veggies weren't over cooked. Some of the meats were hit or miss. Overall, for an event like we had, a buffet made sense. There was a lot of food to choose from, whether you like them or not. They quickly added more when certain plates were running low. I only tried the hot food side, fruits, and some desserts. I cannot say for other things.

When I walked into this place I was super impressed. The layout and the variety of food was amazing. It all looked so good. I sat down with hungry eyes and dug in. To my disappointment I tasted nothing worth going back for. The food was all crap. The best thing I had were orange slices. No joke. If you just want to get full this place is great. If you want good food there are other options nearby.

Mediocre at best. Asian lady working behind salad bar was eating a watermelon. Desserts and pizza come from a box, most likely same vendor as other Chinese restaurants--which even the finer restaurants do as well, but quality is 10x better. Teri chicken and grilled squid were 3.5/5. Lots of food items were hit and miss. Came here for Mother's Day dinner and it was packed. For a venue that could serve about 200 ppl and only 4 women restroom stalls available seems troubling to me. I ate a steamed mini bun with pink flour but it was stuffed with bean and not azuki, but Mexican kind lolFirst and last visit.

I am embarrassed to write this review because the. the world will know I, an Asian-American woman, chose to eat here. Hope springs eternal is my excuse. I took a spin around the place a few weeks ago and was optimistic it might be a replacement for the long-gone Buffet Palace. It is not. There were a few okay items. I did enjoy the hot and sour soup! The bok choy was still crispy and nice flavor. The spicy chicken had some kick. The sushi was actually not too bad. The fish tasted clean and didn't make us sick. The mushrooms were decent albeit without any memorable flavors. I liked the little palmiers cookies, but I love those anywhere, anyhow, so don't go by that. At least they weren't stale!Everything else ranged from tasteless to downright horrendous. There were many items I took one bite of and tossed the rest in the growing refuse pile on my old plate still sitting there. For example, I now know it is possible to screw up steamed buns, one of my favorite foods on Earth. Theirs were hard, stuck to the paper. A supposed chashu pork one had some tasteless grey meat I couldn't really positively identify as a meat substance, let alone chashu pork. Calamari like rubber. Salmon overcooked. Crimjnally overdressed salad. They have an enormous row of desserts. The pineapple was delicious and ripe. I tried some "cream"-filled layered things, puffs and pseudo eclairs. That filling reminded me of the frosting on supermarket cakes made of over sugared, whipped shortening. Oh god. I feel sick I even had one tiny bite of those. They are probably still wreaking havoc in my intestines. Tapioca which I normally love was like glue with lumps. I was appalled at the serve-yourself reach-down freezer of ice cream in tubs. . . especially after I witnessed a gentleman cough into his hand several times right in front of it. This is not a joke. I didn't want to hang around long enough to see him dip his germs into the tubs. Gak.Okay, you get the picture. Avoid this place if you have any taste for Asian or ANY decent food. Special note to my friends: please do not think less of me for trying this buffet. I can see why they make you pay upfront. That should have been our first clue. No photos were taken as I wanted to forget this meal as quickly as possible.

Haven't been here in awhile but since we were in the area we stopped for lunch. Great selection and reasonable price for us 2 old people. The tables are kept clean and cleared. It's a huge place and glad to see them doing okay.

Well it's a buffet and on the cheaper side of things, and that's where I run out of nice things to say. Food was mediocre at best for me. Honestly I think there are more desert options than actual main course options, and the main courses tasted frozen and reheated style. However for my daughter she loved it. It has the most jello options I have ever seen; didn't even know mango jello was an option! Probable won't be back, but tried it at least once.

At beginning I thought it was because outside was hot and that's why the seated area was hot. But when I was having room temperature sushi and sashimi that was very uncomfortable. None of the main course are worth going back for (crab, crawfish, beef, pork... nothing was good). All food tasted like reheated. Mongolian BBQ area was so gross, all the food looks old.Not a place I will recommend to anyone for sure.
