Discover the Aloha Spirit at David's HI K Shoots Grill in Portland!We recently hit up David's HI K Shoots Grill in The Zed for a graduation party, and let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem! Growing up in Hawaii, our standards for local food are high, so I was skeptical. But K Shoots Grill blew us away!The garlic chicken with gochujang aioli sauce? Absolutely ono (delicious)! And the Kalua pig? It took me straight back to the islands. I'm usually not a fan of mac salad, but Dave's version is on another level - I devoured my serving and went back for seconds.If you find yourself hungry in Portland, do yourself a favor and stop by K Shoots Grill. Trust me, you won't regret it. I'll definitely be back to kau kau (eat) soon!

I had the Kogi fries (waffle fries with cheese, bulgogi beef, and kimchi). Really yummy! Tried the mac salad and BBQ chicken off a friend's plate--excellent! I'll definitely be back.

First time and will be back. Portions are generous and friendly customer service. Bbq chicken is amazing...if you love tender, sweet/salty charred chicken, this is some of the best I've had. Amazing! Garlic chicken was good, would want a little more crunch, maybe another minute or so in the fryer. Garlic flavor was pleasant. Rice was cooked very well. Mac salad was good, missing a little seasoning. I like Roxy's Mac salad as a reference. I'll be back to try other items too...$19.50 for the plate, so a little higher, but quality is there and supporting a local business costs more and I'll do that!

Great location. Location has a German bar in other section of the building. Great customer service. Quick service. Food is delicious. I got the crispy fried lemon chicken thighs, rice, and the kimchi side and a Hazy IPA from ZoiglHaus. Outstanding!

Try the garlic fried chicken and you won't be sorry. Crispy yet tender chicken thigh with just the right amount of sweet sauce! Bomb. So satisfying. The portions are large enough for 2 people easily. The restaurant is located inside the ZED food hall. Casual place with plenty of seating. Parking is easy in their lot or on the street.

First time at Zed since they opened up the new seating area and carts. Decided on HI K Shootz and don't regret it one bit! The garlic fried chicken was fantastic--perfectly crispy, generous portions, and yummy sauces. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Just ate here and we got the loco moco and the garlic chicken and both were SO GOOD. Nice owners, quick service. highly recommend !!

Very basic. Tried the katsu chicken and was sadly unimpressed. The mac salad needs some garlic salt and pepper. Reminded me of a old folks home menu, no flavahhh
