It's a lot of private parking, it's a mom and pops, they do have boxes everywhere so if you don't mind that. Customer Service was good but, she did answer the phone in the middle of taking my order. Food I ordered a combination platter #1 Pork Fried Rice, Pork Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Spring Roll. 8 shrimp and Pork egg foo young. It looks really good I am planning to take it to go. It's a lot of people and, it's a bit noisy to my liking. But, they have a bar w/ video poker and, a lot of open seating in the lobby! It's music playing but, very softly! I would recommend this place to come and try!!!

So much food for $26!!!! We ordered the dinner combo #1 and #5. The food wasn't the greatest in terms of flavor, but for the prices and portions you absolutely can't go wrong with this place. Ordering over the phone was quick and easy, everything was in the box and ready to go. Will be back next time I'm craving takeout Chinese and don't want to break the bank.

It's true what they say about Chinese restaurants with 3.5 star ratings being legit. lol This is my go-to Chinese spot in the Overlook neighborhood. They're friendly and food is always ready in 15-20 mins when I call my order in for pick up. Plates are large and prices are great! My personal favorites are the bbq pork ends, orange chicken and the crab puffs (rangoons). If you want to linger, the bar in the back is a chill dive-y hang. They have slot machines and lots of regulars in there that are always down to chat.

I gotta say i got what i expected. Was it amazing no. But i will say that if your craving greasy food at 9 pm for ~10-15 bucks. Its a solid choice. They allowed me to get a substitution which was pretty neat.

If you're looking for definitely affordable Chinese food in Portland, happy House won't disappoint from the hot and sour soup to the egg drop soup to the family style dinner and portions. It was enough to feed at least six or seven people even though it said it only said for do not miss out on the Mongolian beef and also the General Joe's chicken was definitely delicious. The appetizers were just a bit OK, but they more than make up for it and the other dishes. Also they have different types of beverages you can buy from beers to coax even some on one I believe I saw forget the ambience for a second and really want something delicious. Don't want to break the bank. Definitely worth a try the Portland area.

I always would recommend this place. It is your typical Chinese neighborhood restaurant with granny sitting there and cutting to go boxes out of boxes that contained everything they use in the kitchen. That way they reuse and save money - and that money is right given back to you the prices are phenomenal low and it feels almost like a steal to eat there. Food is how you expect it to be and if you like the cuisine you will be satisfied. The lunch menu is always filling and service / kitchen is quick. So what is not to recommend!?

Prices are amazing to begin with and you get a great amount of food. The food tastes delicious as well, my favorite place to order Chinese food. Fast service and I've never gotten my order wrong. There are unfortunately homeless camps outside of the business but I've never felt uneasy or concerned about them. Support this business!!

I've been coming here for the past 2 years and have just now gotten called a "Nigger" by the staff. The foods good but they are managed by the wrong people.

Ordered the lunch special sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Had good flavor and would order it again.

Because it's close to my house I go there a lot to play video poker and the bartenders are always incredibly rude I went in yesterday with my girlfriend who was in a wheelchair and has a service dog the minute we walked into the bar the bartender very loudly screamed oh hell no. Excuse me I couldn't believe what you said that I will never I don't care after meeting is I will never go back there for any reason that is not the way to treat it disabled person
