As a vegetarian, going to a Korean BBQ is likely not my first choice, but we had family in town and I wanted them to try something new! Wait was only 15 mins on a Friday. Very smoky inside, but the service was prompt. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and the food. There were a few options for me as well. I tried the vegetable fritters and spring rolls from the salad bar. Also had the steamed eggs and fried rice. They also brought out a tofu soup that they confirmed to not have fish sauce or meat broth. Communication was a bit tricky on that one, so double check if you're going to order tofu soup and have strict vegetarian needs!I may go back for more salad bar and soju!

Happy to find an Ayce kbbq near me but it was slightly disappointing. The sides were good though but the meats were average. The sides are self serve and has a lot of variety. They even had kimbap in addition to other normally available sides such as gyoza, chapchae and spicy rice cake. We got the premium option and the premium meat I liked was the ribeye cap, which was tender but lacking flavor. The marinated steak cubes had a lot of tendon and was hard to chew sometimes. The ribeye steak was a huge disappointment, it was pale and looked like pork. Flavor and texture were actually not good... the brisket was standard, quite thick, nothing special but decent. The pork jowl was good, recommend grilling it longer. The octopus was terrible, it was soaked with water and somehow after grilling it the octopus was really soft. If you eat octopus you know that's no good. The cold noodle was good and we thought the Soondubu soup was better than average too. Overall, meats were average maybe even a bit below average. But the sides and other stuff are above average.

Drawn by a prominent local social media influencer calling this her favorite Korean spot? The mama has different tastes than most apparently.Self-serve Banchan Island ~ messy squeeze tubes for sauces. Sesame oil is watered down. Pajeon almost all flour. Fresh lettuce. Japchae almost all noodle. Strange unpleasant broth for their Doenjang-jjigae. Tteok-bokki bland. Pork belly strange. Just too messy of a display.Busy, loud and very loud.Enjoyed it more when it was an individual table service restaurant.

They recently switched to an AYCE model with two options: $34.99 and $39.99. The more expensive option has premium meats and seafood but other than that both choices are similar. Both also come with self-service unlimited side dishes and hot food, which I really love and have not seen before! All the ingredients were super fresh and they don't hold back on the meat portion at all.Food was tasty, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Definitely go when you're starving, you won't be disappointed!

I was here when they were a la carte, and I return for AYCE. This place is now the best AYCE KBBQ in all of Oregon in terms of quality and service. I've been to the others and they severely lacked in quality and service. The experience I had today is what I expect of all KBBQ joints. Lots of protein choices, great sauces, well-stocked salad/banchan bar, consistent and great service. I just don't know how they're going to handle the incoming flux of customers coming for AYCE KBBQ. The place is a good size for an a la carte place, but for AYCE the wait could be astronomical. I feel like they could use more dishes, grills, and utensils. I don't think they were forecasting so much usage for ayce.

AYCE plus salad bar plus appetizers!? Sign us up! Best KBBQ experience in the PDX area. Quality of meats were service was great, and the kimchee was delicious! They have the Yelp waitlist as a way for you to check in and get in line. We went on a Friday night from Vancouver. So the fact that you can add yourself to the waitlist virtually is a PLUS. The wait total was 90 minutes. We got seated in an hour. The only thing about the waitlist- just be sure you add a last initial. They took us off the waitlist because they thought they seated us. You can order 3 meats at a time. EVERYTHING on the menu is AYCE. Unless marked. Which is the premium menu. Which was worth it. Because we just got the first 7 meat options on that menu and was satisfied. We also got Ramen, intestine, beef belly. All very delicious. The only thing that I will say, you have to have a MINIMUM OF 2 IN YOUR PARTY to dine here. Which is bummer for those solo diners. So drop a star there. The salad bar has your banchan options including onions, salad wrap, garlic, etc. the appetizer bar has your ready to go hot food such as gyoza, fried chicken, tteokboki, japchae... The only thing I did notice that I wish they did different is they would "top off" the salad bar. So if you go up there and it's almost empty- you don't know how long it's been there. Would have been better if they replaced the whole thing. I noticed this especially with the tteokboki- I was super excited for this. But there were tteok that was just too soft and not appetizing at all! So it ruined it Overall, such a great experience. Service was really fast. Portions were decent. Quality was great! I can see ourselves coming back again.

This is hands down the best AYCE Korean BBQ in the area. Service was great! We were 6th on the waitlist and we were seated in less than 10 mins. There were 6 of us in the group and we ordered the Gangnam Prime Plus. They gave us 6 different types of meat immediately plus 2 kinds of soup. You won't feel like they limit what you eat, unlike the 2 other AYCE Korean in the area where they limit what they serve. They keep coming asking if we need more meet, even more napkins! Highly recommended and will definitely come back.

This place discriminates against single people with the change to their menu practice; must have 2 people in the party to eat here. It's all you can eat, apparently no ala carte for the solo diner.I'm extremely disappointed. That's fine! However, I'll go ahead and stick with the other Korean BBQ that doesn't turn away customers based on party size.

I didn't think this place could get better !! They now have AYCE KB with a salad bar!! Honestly was so amazing to be able to have my usual choice of meats and also have some delicious side dishes from the salad bar. They even had Korean fried chicken at the bar and it was SUPER crunchy and juicy. You get to refill all the sides you want and put yourself in a food coma with all the choices from the AYCE menu. Service was awesome and the ambiance was chill and welcoming . Definitely will be coming WAAAY more often .

Food and service was great! Expensive but well worth it. I'm originally from LA which has an amazing selection of kbbq spots. Since moving here I've been looking for a place that reminds me of home. This is by far the Best kbbq in the area
