OMG! Let me just start out by saying this is one of the best meals I've had ever! If I ever decide to move to Portland, you will be one of the reasons! We were up super early to get into Portland and had a very full first day. Our first evening in Portland, I wanted something yummy and comforting for dinner. Yelped around and ended up choosing Gabbiano's. Cute restaurant nestled into the neighborhood, you could easily pass it up. We sat at the bar with the garage storefront door open. It was a perfect summer evening! For drinks I had the Lavender lemon honey Italian soda (no oat milk) and the hubs got an old fashioned. The Italian soda was refreshing and very sweet. I also had sparkling water separately, which I added to the soda which helped cut the sweetness. We did dinner served family style. We started with the Focaccia bread, served with olive oil and balsamic, it was absolutely perfect! Just the right amount of fluff with a perfect crisp crust. We also tried the Classic red sauce spaghetti, and the Hot Italian pork chop. The pasta was perfect, the angel hair pasta made all the difference! Great flavor, just enough sauce, not super heavy or filling. The Hot Italian pork chop was amazing! Who doesn't love a perfectly cooked pork chop! I do and they are so rare to come by! Perfectly cooked, it was thick, juicy and tender with just a touch of heat. The caramelized pearl onions put it over the top for me. Pure comfort! Staff were really friendly. Parking on the street was easy. I always want every meal to be amazing, and this was it! Dinner was so enjoyable! Everything about it! The ambiance, the vibe, the food just put it over the top for us! I could've died and went to heaven right there, happily with this as my last meal! 2024: 37

I've been wanting to try this spot since it opened and good lord why did it take me so long?! I dropped by on a weekday with a friend and we were able to get a table pretty darn quickly for dinner. I was ravenous by the time we got here so of course we ordered a variety of things to share including the fried mozzarella, the stracciatella, the green garlic lumache, and the polenta. We tried a couple of the cocktails as well and they were deeelicious. Now food wise, the apps were both delicious -- the fried mozzarella had a great crispy breading with tons of flavor and the stracciatella with caponata was light and tasty. I have to say that the star of this show was EASILY the green garlic lumache; just absolutely garlicky with the perfect amount of acid to balance it. I would eat a tub of this daily if I could though I don't think my body would love that. The polenta was fine but it definitely paled in comparison to the lumache and honestly, it was a bit bland. The veggies on top and the romesco just didn't have enough seasoning to even compare to the other dishes. Not sure if it was a bad night there or if the dish truly is supposed to be that...mild. l o l Anyhoo, even with that polenta being the let down, the rest of the meal was so good that I am compelled to say this was a 5/5 experience for me. The dessert was also incredible with the lightest, sweet but not too sweet, tiramisu to end the night.Service was friendly though sometimes, they cleared things a bit prematurely while we were trying to grab the last small bite of something. The restaurant itself is so stinkin cute and has a great indoor outdoor feel that is amazing. I would highly recommend checking out this place if you're in the area!

I've heard about Gabbiano's so the fam decided to check it out for dinner before my daughter headed back to college. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait which was ok as we ordered a drink in the bar while waiting. We started with a Caesar salad and focaccia - probably one of the best Caesar's I've eaten. It was dressed perfectly. The fried mozzarella was decadent and rich, one of those can be a meal in itself. The pasta entrees were equally delish, the right amount of sauce to pasta ratio, 10 outta 10! The dunegeness crab all vodka and spaghetti with meatballs were the prefect choices for the evening! Casual interior, impressive service and worth the wait.

Definitely overhyped from tiktok. The only must get item is the pasta with crab and vodka sauce. The Caesar salad was huge and really good. Other than that, everything was alright. Prices are also on the higher end.

I read a ton of reviews before making mine, to be objective. We got there early because of the wait, so we went for a walk. No big deal. The table was ready before the allotted time but they held it for us. Once seated, everything was flawless. Service was prompt and congenial. Our server explained the process and the menu to us, and what I was not aware of is that this is "family" style, so we chose accordingly. We got the calamari (very nice) Red sauce with 3 meatballs (traditional spaghetti and meatballs) and shrimp scampi. Ok, I lived on Long Island for 12 years, and I have an opinion on how scampi should be, but their take on this completely flipped my perspective. I will not spoil it but if you are a foodie, you must try thisLastly, yes it does get loud, but any place that serves alcohol does. Understand the time and the place

I was excited to grab dinner at Gabbiano's last week after an event on their patio. I've heard great things about their food. Unfortunately, the hostess would not let me add my name to the waitlist for dinner until the event concluded, even if we didn't want to stay for the entire event. The event organizer told me there had been a misunderstanding, and to check with the hostess again. When I did, the hostess asked me if I wanted to talk to her manager after telling me no for a second time. The patio space during the event was great. But the seven of us ended up down the street at No Saint for dinner, where we were immediately seated outside and had an excellent Italian dinner.

This cozy neighborhood restaurant has made it on the top of my favorite Italian spots list. To avoid a wait, we dined at the bar. The waitstaff were all very friendly and worked well together, as there wasn't one designated person serving us. Everyone at the bar was ordering the chicken Parmesan, so we had to try it (it was MASSIVE). However, it was the Dungeness crab alla vodka that drew me to this restaurant, and I'm so glad I came. The spicy vodka sauce paired with the unique pistachio chili crisp actually gave the pasta a hint of spiciness. Most restaurants skimp on the crab, but not Gabbiano's! It was so so good--I wish I had this where I live! The only downside was that the restaurant was extremely hot, so it didn't couple well while eating their deliciously hot food. But then again, there was a heat advisory in Portland that weekend ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Awesome romantic joint in the NE neighborhood. Vibe inside is cozy cute with full garage door front wide open for warm weather days. Open layout to the back patio ~ again, cozy cute with lush landscaping.Service is friendly and attentive through and through. Each staff member has a warm friendly face when serving your table. On this occasion they all worked for the auto 20%.Food fabulous ~ come early for the fried mozz. What a start! Pasta housemade and served perfectly al dente. Pork Chop finger kissed delish.Gabianno's is a dinner vibe that evokes fun conversations like a local Italian restaurant should.
