Fuji's Grill and sushi has been a favorite of our families for over 13 years. I was back in town and had a real Jones for some sushi. I remembered that Fuji's had a location in Sherwood and decided to stop in for dinner. They are located right off Highway 99 in a strip mall with plenty of parking right out front. I was greeted by a very friendly manager, who acted like he'd known me forever. He directed me to the sushi bar where I ordered the Momokawa Pearl Nigori Junmai Gingo Genshu Sake at the recommendation of the server. After a quick scan of the sushi menu, I placed my initial order. One of the great things about sitting at the sushi counter is watching your order put together right in front of you. Their Sushi chef was very good and he deftly laid out my two Nigiri selections (Yellowtail or Hamachi and "red tuna" or maguro),and the the Maki Spicy Tuna roll; The Nigiri were great and the fish was sweet and fresh and the Spicy Tuna Roll was beautiful. The miso soup was a great start and the Momokawa Pearl Sake that the server recommended was excellent. I made short work of the Nigiri and Maki rolls and then ordered a hamachi Maki roll and Shrimp Tempura to top it off. Everything was excellent and it was great to see that an old favorite was still hitting the sweet spot.If you're looking for an authentic sushi experience, definitely give Fuji's Grill & Sushi a try. You won't be disappointed! 5 stars and thanks for a great experience.

Made a reservation (recommended) for a dinner at the Sherwood location. We were sat very quickly but it took about 40 mins for ourgrill chef to arrive. The Trinity roll was my favorite pre-dinner appetizer. The portions are a good size and pricing varies based on meats chosen. The food is good but the draw centers around your chef; that's what you pay for in the end. We were lucky to have one of the veterans that raised the experience with levity and laughs.

Had a reservation for 6pm this evening. We arrived nearly 10 minutes early to be told they would be right with us. Another party walked in 5 minutes later and were helped and immediately seated. We went to the hostess and was told she needed to clean off a table. After another 5 minutes (no cleaning to be done) we were seated. She took our drink order and when she returned she said it would be a little bit. 20 minutes later and we were wondering what was going on.After nearly 40 minutes of being there, with 2 kids, we decided it was in our best interest to leave. We left a $20 on the table to cover the 3 beers we had and when I went to the hostess station to tell them we were leaving, stating that we'd been seated for 40 minutes she just said 'sorry about that'. This has been by far the worst experience we have had at Fujis. From the moment we walked in the door, to the moment we left. Very disappointed and a huge waste of time. Next time we'll head to Beaverton to Benihana instead.

This place is not good. We had hibachi and they had a very young chef cooking the food- very bland and tasteless. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Sushi was okay, but I wouldn't come back just for that.

Wow what a cool looking little sushi restaurant . This restaurant is nice and cozy like . They have grills set up to watch the cook whip you up some food. They are really nice and welcoming. They made my sushi real quick and it was delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere . Was treated like I was important like it should be no matter what . Do I recommend them hell yeah off 99 you can see them and the food was great. Check them out for sure you will like it. I give them 4 stars because there hours . Wish they were open later .So I have to update took my family there the other day . Very disappointed with the whole experience. We ordered the sushi tuna rolls as you can see in the picture . The waitress started out really nice and friendly. As I was enjoying the sushi I dug into the ginger to place in my roll when my wife said look what's that ! It was a curly black hair tangled up in the ginger I was about to eat. I got grossed out and could not eat anything. I reported it to the waitress and immediately she changed tone with my family . Basically avoided us when my son and his girlfriend wanted to order. I observed whom I suspect was the manager take the plate place it in a bin and that was that. There was still food on it. Literally no communication for 10 min. A couple of orders my wife wanted came delivered by other waitresses. The main waitress acted as if she was in trouble with us when that was too the case. A little while later it'll we contacted the main waitress and asked what was going on with this hair in the food? She replied in a nervous tone she was not sure but they will be working on a discount. Finally the manager came over and asked us if everything was good . We said yeah but we we're puzzled the hair in the food was not brought up . So I was done and very upset still hungry and so was my wife . I went to pay for the food and the same lady that came over to the table helped me . I was shocked about her behavior when I asked why we did not get new food made for us she said she assumed we were done ! I asked her why didn't she bring it up when she stopped by our table ? She assumed we were done and didn't want anything more. I said we still had food on our plate ? She said she was sorry and should have addressed it . I said I am deeply disappointed with her behavior and the service. I expected something better than that. I told her I was there just the day before and could not wait to take my family there . So my update is they are nasty did not come to tap to us I don't know if it was because they were afraid or just poor communication. I don't recommend sorry all go to another sushi restaurant. They are not worth it . All they did was take just a few dollars off I still gave them a tip . It was not the waitresses fault it's whoever put the finger in the plate. Deeply disappointed paid over $100 and only ate a few rolls odd sushi and my wife's order was literally thrown out. For this they get two stars . I will not go back to this place . My son left later and agreed the waitress disappeared and the food was subpar. Definitely not worth the money we spent . I really thought I would have got a refund not $20 off lol . Ok that's the just of it . Hope to hear from the owners or managers to fix this experience .

A Decent place for a good meal! Sushi tasted good and fresh. And the grilled steak and chicken was fantastic! Love the mustard sauce! My only complaint is with the salad dressing. I know it's "traditional" but maybe find a better way to present it and use less! Less is more in an instance of such a strong flavored dressing. And if was zigzag drizzled on it wouldn't look like a miso pie on lettuce Flavor is all there and then some! Less is more!They put on a good show too!Oh and about half that amount of noodles would have been just right. And more veggies for the price would be nice!

Hi guys. With a heavy heart, I'm here to say my first experience at Fuji's Grill and Sushi was so terrible that I felt it's needed to write my very first review. Right from the beginning our waiter Susana seated us in a cold manner...a manner you dread from a waiter. During the whole experience, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and it completely ruined the rest of the evening. I understand people can have difficult days, but it's no excuse to treat customers this way, especially in the food service business. Susana became overly upset when we switched chairs because we were being blinded by the sun. Afterwards, she was completely inappropriate and argued with our cook in front of the whole table. Our entire table felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. I felt bad our lovely cook had to deal with her as a coworker. Thankfully our cook's work and wonderful attitude made up for this evening, but I would hate to have someone else go through this experience. If your waitress' name is Susana, run. It's not worth the money
