This is a cute and casual breakfast spot. All of their menu items are punny, their staff is friendly and inclusive, and their walls are cutely decorated. I ordered the yolko ono which came with a fried egg, homemade pesto, and a smashed sausage patty. I also added havarti and a hash brown to go inside my sandwich. The homemade sausage patty was delightfully different with a hint of spice- unique! I loved my sandwich as all of the elements meshed well together. I can't wait to try more! The only downside is the wait time, but they are transparent about it from the start. A sign at the front displays the current wait time, and after you order, they confirm if you're willing to wait. Many customers place mobile orders and then enjoy their meal upon arrival.

I got the ritosuave with bacon and it was bussn but it was thinly packed to be $14unfortunately I did not take a pic but if I'm going to get a $14 rito I want to feel like someone else needs to drive home after because I'm going to take a nap type of ritothe hash browns were also built different-- they don't taste like no ray kroc or trader joe's type, they got a different type of taste I can't pinpoint but I like itthis place was packed and busy enough that they had to turn off online ordering because in house ordering took 30 mins to be served one star lost because of of the workers smelt putrid, so bad idk how management can even let them go about their shift like that. nonetheless, they were nice but gee wizz u feelI'll be back (Arnold voice)

Bread, pesto, egg, sausage. Simple, yet elegant. Easy, yet hits hard. I ordered the yolko zeppelin. Enjoyable sandwich. I came on a Tuesday morning and still had to wait a solid 30 minutes. It was a good sandwich. Definitely a savory sandwich.

This place has the best breakfast sandwiches in town, hands down. Whenever my adult kids come back to town, this is the spot they hit. So imagine my surprise when I came in early on a Saturday morning and placed a large, no-rush order for their basic sandwich to feed a houseful of people in town for a wedding. There was no one in the restaurant and no one in line (Portland doesn't get up early). They said no. The owner was kind. He wanted to do it. But his kitchen staff refused. This is not entirely surprising as we and others have more than once had the experience of waiting an insanely long time for our single breakfast sandwich to show up. It's a shame. The food is epic, but the place is still run like a food cart and that's no way to run a brick and mortar restaurant. I hope the owner can get the staff he needs to run it like the food deserves

Atmosphere: Casual spot with some cool posters and decoration on the wall. Gets very busy on the weekends with lines often 30 minutesFood: Excellent food. This is my favorite breakfast spot bar-none in Portland. The sandwiches are delicious.Price: Not the cheapest for breakfast but they are worth itService: Slow service. Don't come here if in a hurry. Some of the employees are nice, others are kind of rude.Parking: Street parking

I love a good breakfast sandwich so I had to try this place when I was in Oregon. It's order first and then sit in or take out whichever you decide to do. There were a lot of good options and punny names to choose from. I got the egg zeppelin which came with two fried eggs and two patties. I may have over ordered though because it was a really big sandwich. I probably should have just ordered the yolko ono which was also their bestseller. Now I know for next time. I also got the hashbrown and it was nice and crunchy. Overall the sandwich was really good. Lots of flavor and the eggs were fried just right. It's a must try if you're ever in Hawthorne. I wish we had this back at home in California.

What a cute spot! I was told to go here by a friend that lives in the area, and I'm so glad I did. It's a sweet breakfast sandwich spot that has puns for menu item names--can't go wrong with that! Everyone that works here is super sweet, and I love that they put a sign up that tells customers to use inclusive, gender-neutral language when referring to staff members! I love supporting businesses that value their employees and respect them.I ordered the Yolko Ono (one sausage patty, pesto, sourdough, and I added havarti cheese), and it was really good! It came with some aioli, although I wish I could've received more because it was really good! My partner got a hash brown and said it was tasty as well. The food did take a bit to come out, but I don't know if it was just a fluke or not. Either way, delicious meal and a sweet interior with lots for us to look at while we waited.

A great cheaper brunch spot on a slow Sunday morning. While the wait for food was about a half hour, the sandwiches and the hash brown we got were both really really good. Would definitely recommend!

What's up: While I was planning for our trip, this place came up several times as a recommendation, so I had to add it to the list. Plus, it helps that we like eggs!Parking: Street parking. We parked on SE 36th Ave and had a short walk over. Environment: When entering, go towards the right and place your order at the counter. The menu is displayed on the right side of the wall. Once you ordered, take the number counter and pick a table to sit at; food will be brought to you when ready. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The restroom is located to the left of the order counter. Condiments and water are located near the trash collection area on the left side of the building; not too far from the entrance. Staff members were friendly and super pleasant. What was ordered:- 'Rito Suave (yummy, love the aioli)- Egg Zeppelin (very flavorful)- Sriracha Mix-A-Lot (pretty good)- Hash Bite (comes with yummy dipping sauce...Magic Spud Sauce!)Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The food was delicious. Something simple made extra yummy with all the different flavors. I loved all the creative names they came up with for the menu. It was definitely worth a visit! Yummy :) Credit cards are accepted.

A warm egg sandwich and a cup of hot beverage is there a better way to start the day? Maybe add a crispy has brown patty with magic spud sauce! While visiting Portland, my friends and I were always trying to look for local eats and while the city had a variety of lunch and dinner choices, we didn't find a lot of breakfast spots outside of chain restaurants. We then stumbled upon Fried Egg I'm In Love and as you can guess, they specialized in fried eggs specially egg sandwiches paired with a variety of different ingredients and sauces. They do have three locations throughout Portland, but I don't really count that as a chain and the closest one to me was only a couple miles away in Sunnyside, and yes, I found the irony funny as well. They didn't have a dedicated parking lot, but at 8:30 in the morning it was easy to find parking on the street. Walking into the restaurant the decor reminds me of a fast-food joint, with a menu on the wall and someone taking orders behind a register, but don't let that fool you. The thing to keep in mind is that it gets busy quickly, and they make your meal when you order. There was a sign as we walked through the door that orders placed at that time will take approximately 20-30 mins. Good thing we weren't in a rush. Their menu included their breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and bowls, all with unique names. I chose the Egg Zeppelin since it came with "holy aioli" with eggs over easy, and of course I had to add on a Hash Bite since I needed to try their magic spud sauce. My friends ordered the Sriracha Mix-A-Lot (also with eggs over easy), and 'Rito Suave since my sister didn't like runny eggs. She's missing out, I know. A welcomed surprise after ordering is that the order took only 15 minutes to come in instead of the estimated 20. First thing I noticed before digging in is that the sandwich is huge with the egg and sausage patty drooping over the side of the sourdough bread. The eggs were cooked exactly as expected with a runny center and the sausage was juicy and not overly salty. If you order the sandwich with eggs other than scramble, make sure you get extra napkins since it will get messy. Was the Hash Bite worth it? Yep, the magic spud sauce gave it an extra kick of flavor so I would recommend trying it out. Overall, it was a great breakfast. If you love egg sandwiches, I highly recommend you giving it a try if you are in town. I know it's going back on the list the next time I pop by Portland. Oh, and for the Pokémon Go players out there, yes there is a gym in the area, so you'll be able to play as you wait for your food to arrive.
