First, there are really nice staff every time I go there. Always appreciated. I've tried everything:NY Chopped Cheese was my first. It's a Chicago bodega sandwich that tastes something like a smash burger meets a Philly cheesesteak. High quality bread elevates the experience. So do thin, crispy fries.I loved the Homemade Meatball Sub too. It had both perfectly seasoned meat AND perfectly seasoned sauce--nothing 'gamey' about the meatballs that you sometimes experience ("fresh" and not "funky"! lol). An appreciable amount of meat and cheeses too, and the bread stayed crispy without being over-toasted. The Reuben special is now on the menu! Why? Because it's exceptional. The Smash Burger was my least favorite meal. Good, but nothing special about it.The Patty Melt was tied for my fave as well. Just great.The Zenner's Hot Dog had that great 'pop' and was unique. Really good! Not a meal though.The Homemade Veggie Burger was the most surprising of all. Like none you've ever had. GREAT flavor and portion. It's more of black bean, veg, and grain style. You can tell it's labor intensive and meat eaters will not be disappointed.In summary, everything is pretty much in the 'exceptional' category, for a seemingly low brow food cart, with the exception of the smash burger, which was just okay for me. If I had to choose just one, it would be the NY Chop, then the Rueben or the Patty Melt or the Meatball Sub lol.While I LOVE the fries, and the portions, I'd also appreciate the option to sub a nice mixed green salad (e.g., w/ a simple rasp vinaigrette + some nuts), now and then.

One of my favorite smash burger carts in Portland (and there are a LOT out there). Everything I've ever ordered from here is absolutely DELICIOUS. If you're in the mood, you can't go wrong here!

Colin moved his cart the The Heist on Woodstock. He added new product as well. Food is still great but I'm adjusting my review due to inconsistent hours. As a business owner, you need to communicate to your clients when you will be open. Some of customers have to work our hours around to come grab lunch. I wasted my only time between meetings to grab food. Honestly still debating if I will ever come back at this point. Great food, unreliable hours.

Great, friendly service! I've had several items on their menu and they were all delicious but the Ruben was by far the best one I've ever had!

Ever since Shut up & Eat closed I've been on the search for a good meatball sub and this might be it. Excellent bread, very large tasty meatballs with the appropriate amount of cheese & sauce to bring it altogether. I'll definitely be back to try the smash burgers. Go there & eat

Listen, this is the best veggie burger you've ever had. I'm sure the meat is delicious too. But seriously, the veggie burger. Do not fuck around. Just go.

I'll start with the bad: neither of the two people working here were wearing masks. (Writing this in the middle of the omicron wave). Ugh. At the other carts, all employees were masked up, as were all the customers. These were the only two people in sight without masks. And if they are blasé about mask-wearing, I wonder what other aspects of health/food safety they are blasé about? Yikes. On to the good: I really like that they make their own veggie burger patty. Not too many places doing that any more. Pretty good veggie burger, toppings seemed fresh, I liked the pickles.

One of the best burgers I've had in the area. Walking up to the food truck I thought, "$15?! For a burger???" Yes, the price is a little steep (the burger did come with fries though) but if you're craving a tender, melt in your mouth, delectable smash burger, this is the spot. I also appreciated how they had gluten free buns. It was an extra $2 but for someone with a gluten allergy, it is hard to find places that offer gluten free buns and oftentimes a lettuce wrap just won't cut it.

I had a nasty itch for a smash burger and damn, it got scratched well at Fresh N Funky. Double cheese burger with their special sauce and well cooked fries. Go hungry cuz it's large and tasty.
