Delicious food. Lovely ambience. Close to home. Ordered Italian Chopped Salad for appetizers. Large portion. Enough for my husband and I. Entrees we ordered were the ribeye and salmon. We turned it into a surf and turd by asking for an extra plate. Wanted to have dessert, but we were stuffed. Next time we'll forego the salad so we can try the creme brulee cheesecake. Will be back. Next time we'll try to chicken pot pie and their meatloaf. Heard great things about both. CHEERS to great food at a popular neighborhood spot!

What a great little gem in Felida! I had driven by this restaurant so many times yet never stepped in, and boy was I missing out! I'm comparing to what I would expect out of a local restaurant not a downtown spot or big city spot.Food 4/5:- the deviled eggs are to die for- salmon ceasar salad was delicious and fresh- meat loaf was pretty good! Better than most meat loafs but not mind blowing - creme brûlée cheesecake was divineService: 3/5Pretty good! A few hiccups but overall attentiveCocktails: 5/5- really creative menu and the old fashioned is one of the best I've hadAmbiance: 5/5- definitely a top spot for a date night or dinner with friends but I also felt just fine having my kiddo there

I've been wanting to check this place out for months now and finally has the opportunity to do so last night. It's quite a drive for us but my husband and I couldn't think of anywhere else to go so we decided to finally make it out this way. We got there around 7:30 or so and the restaurant was super busy so we sat in the bar, which was also super packed and busy. We got lucky and were able get the last 2 seats at the bar top that just opened up. The place is kinda dark, parking lot is super small.Such great customer service! We were greeted right away by the bartender who quickly wiped down the bar top for us. He was so nice and so friendly and gave us time to look over the menu without us feeling rushed. I believe his name is Reese? That's what was on our receipt. Had 2 drinks and an entree and appetizer and everything was so good! But also pricey! The food we ordered was so flavorful and seasoned well. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu!

This place has been on my to-do list for a long time, so I'm glad my wife and I were able to make it out last week. I wasn't really even sure what to expect from the cuisine here, as "bistro" has turned out to mean a lot of different things over the years, in our experience.Other than a somewhat aloof hostess who gave off a bit of a grumpy vibe, service was timely and competent. My wife went with the pulled pork sandwich, and while I waffled over about four different entrées, I decided to be a basic bitch and order the cheeseburger; at the very least, it gives me a good baseline to judge a restaurant's competence. We also split the smoked salmon wontons, and a cocktail apiece.Everything arrived at the table in the correct order, and in due time. The wontons were utterly fantastic; that Thai cream cheese should be sold on store shelves, because it would fly off of them...it's that good! The pulled pork was everything my wife wanted it to be: among the best she'd ever had, she claimed. And my basic burger? Not basic at all. Perfectly juicy, and will all the right touches of condiments in the correct quanities. If I don't have to ask you for a bottle of A1 steak sauce, it's a damn good burger. Even the slice of pickle that accompanied it was above the bar!Looking at images of other entrées that have come and gone over the years, it's obvious that Farrar's Bistro keeps things fresh, seasonal, and never rests on their laurels. That explains why they've managed to stick around for so many years, and collect as many accolades accolades and great reviews as they have. I'm only sorry that we haven't stopped in sooner, but I'm sure that we will be back regularly to try out new things. I mean, I still have to redeem myself for ordering such a basic dish, at the very least.

Super dead for a Friday night, but all good. There was live music outside, but we opted to dine indoors due to the heat from the day. Our server was the bubbly woman at the front who also sat us. The smoked salmon wontons were a different taste. The Thai cream cheese (and other spices) gave the dish a sweet taste overall, but still good to enjoy. The sauce on the chicken teriyaki bowl was light and flavorful, not thick like many others. The Steak Fritesta was great as pictured. I don't think I would have enjoyed the fries on top. And the aioli was very mayonnaise forward, but the black bean salsa was excellent!

We had a very unfortunate experience this evening at Farrars. When presented with the bill my husband had a gift card that was given to him by dear friends for his birthday. However, we were told the gift card would not be accepted by the owner. I spoke to the owner who was not at all courtesy to as a long-time regular customer who lives a few blocks away from the restaurant. As a result, we will never again frequent this neighborhood establishment. As a recommendation, Amaros in Hazel Dell has great food, professional team of staff, and honors gift cards! Plus they are all about customer service.

Such a cute place with delicious food and warm, friendly staff! We stopped in for lunch around 12:30 on a Saturday. We opted to sit outside on their gorgeous patio. They have sails across the top, making for a nice amount of shade. Our only gripe was the air handler out on the patio...it was blowing warm air and made some weird noises. It needs some sort of vertical ventilation system or an encasement around it. It wasn't bothersome enough not to return, just a little annoying. Our server, Ashlyn H, was wonderful! She was so friendly, smiley, and attentive. She had a wonderful personality. We haven't found that much when dining out lately. It's sad because I don't think some servers realize how much their service can make or break the dining out experience. Props to Ashlyn! We ordered the Caesar salad ($12) with steak bites ($15), grilled cod tacos ($12 for 2 tacos), GOW IPA ($7 for pint) and the triple chocolate cake ($10) with a scoop of Tillamook vanilla ice cream ($3). Everything was delicious! Loved the Caesar dressing, and the steak bites were cooked perfectly. My husband thought they lacked grill marks, but the flavor was there. He enjoyed his fish tacos. He liked the cajun seasoning on the cod. We both devoured the triple chocolate cake with whipped cream, ice cream, and sliced strawberries...so yummy!Overall, we really enjoyed our time here. The service, food, and atmosphere will definitely entice a return visit. Would highly recommend!

Gluten free review: Alright my little mallows! Gather 'round, because I've got a tasty tale to tell about this little joint in Felida. Now, this place has so many options for the gluten-free gang, so if you're looking to avoid the gluten, this is your spot! They've got a whole bunch of options that won't mess with your tummy. They have a bunch of options including what we ordered. We order the crispy chicken bites, spinach artichoke dip (a little spicy), a cheeseburger, and a steak bowl. And get this, even the crispy onions on that steak bowl are gluten-free! Who knew, right? My favorite were the crispy vehicles bites. 5 out of 5. The cheeseburger came with bug ole delicious thick cut fries on a gluten-free bun (2 dollar up charge). The burger was 3 out if 5 stars. Not too shabby, but not exactly blowing my mind either. Now, rumor has it that the steak bowl is a whole different story. My fella who tried is says It's a five-star delight!it's not just about the food here. They've got some specialty cocktails that are yummy! Five stars all the way, my friends. So, if you're into sipping something special while enjoying your gluten-free feast, this place has got you covered. We're talking about pretty good quality here, and quality sometimes comes with a price tag. So yeah, I gotta be honest, it can get a little pricey at this joint. But hey, if you're willing to splurge a bit for some gluten-free goodness, why not give it a whirl? The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten and the menu is clearly marked. The ambiance was kind of pub like. Sounds like they also have outdoor seating. That's the scoop on this little gluten-free haven in Felida, my friends. Plenty of options, a burger that's decent, a steak bowl that's supposedly stellar, and some killer cocktails. Just be prepared to loosen those purse strings a bit. Enjoy!

We had such a lovely dinner tonight with friends. We enjoyed appetizers, ciders, beer & a zingy ginger beer. Our dinners were all delicious, too, & all had great proportions. Loved the atmosphere for dinner, too... dim but not dark.
