We love coming to the Hitching post for breakfast! Great service! Great food! Down home feel. Always welcomed when we walk in the door. We love coming here!!

Oh my goodness what a place to eat, it's the beast breakfast I've ever had and the price and portions were great, please let me know where you get that bacon, the only issue is I live in Kentucky and was there on holiday and may not get back, it was that good, biscuits and gravy, bacon, pancakes you name it we had it, service was great, atmosphere wonderful, we set in the John Wayne room very cool place. 100% worth the visit, our entire family talked about how good it was!

Our favorite breakfast place in town. Nothing unique as far as plates, but the bacon is amazing, thick & juicy. The hash browns are crispy & wonderful. The portions are lumberjack size. I get the mini breakfast & can't eat it all. The vegetarian burger is good too.The servers are just wonderful!

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend who'd never been to Molalla before. The Hitchin' Post always had decent food so I figured it would be a good choice for an introduction to our small town's food offerings. After sitting down at a table, I realized nobody in the place (except my friend and I) was wearing a mask. Since we were hungry, we decided to stay anyway. I ordered a waffle and she ordered the 2x2x2 (2 eggs scrambled, 2 slices of bacon, 2 pieces of french toast)). Service and food were both decent (as I knew they would be) but nobody was following the Oregon State mandates for pandemic protocols so I won't be back until this virus is under control. Two stars: one for not following the state's pandemic protocols and one for the decent food.

Before moving to Molalla, I was already looking at the local restaurants. The one that jumped out was Eugene's Hitchin' Post Café. I'm always in search for a great breakfast. After moving to Molalla my wife and I went to the Hitchin' Post. We were not to be disappointed! When eating breakfast out I'm always in search of a great Chicken Fried Steak and hash browns. The Chicken Fried Steak here does not disappoint! Plus, they offer two sizes of Chicken Fried Steak for only a two-dollar difference. Of course, I'm going to pay $2.00 more for twice the size. What also stands out is their hash browns. A different cut of potato than what you typically see. They are fried to perfection! My wife usually gets the pancakes and bacon, and their bacon is incredible! This is not your typical Denny's bacon that you can see through. This is high quality think cut bacon.There are many places you can go to and get a decent breakfast. But Eugene's Hitchin' Post Café really stands out! It offers a great country feel inside, the service here has always been friendly, and the food is incredible. If you've never been to Eugene's Hitchin' Post give this place a try!

Been going there with my boyfriend now for over a year I absolutely love the family atmosphere the kind words the wonderful food and the service is just outstanding. I haven't had a bad meal there in a year. Definitely recommend for breakfast and lunch.

We love the food here. The burgers and fries are outstanding. We also love that they are open on Mondays, unlike so many other options in the area.

Great homestyle cooked food, with amazing people who shine brighter then the food they serve. Got the pleasure of sharing the table with Jack a local resident who made conversation and was a highlight of breakfast.. The food was phenomenal also, the omelets and sausage really stick out from the rest.

It can't get much better then a place where people know each other's name. I've dreamt of living in the country to experience that kind of familiarity and it's been wonderful to walk in and you don't even need a menu they know you so well. The Hitching post has such a family feel and I'm so happy to support such a special business. Needless to say the food is absolutely wonderful, we have never been disappointed.

Had a really good breakfast here. Delicious chicken fried steak. Coffee was a little bland but mostly it was excellent. Fun decor.
