We came by on a Sunday shortly after they opened.Service was friendly and the food was great. We look forward to returning and trying more items off the menu. The only negative is that the booths are tight. The place was popular as many more people arrived as we were eating

On a few occasions they didn't open until 15-30 minutes after stated opening time.Okay, they're on par or exceed expectations on many of the common items. But if you want to venture a bit off script then try the Creamed Chicken. Tasty and an ample portion.Employees and owner are very friendly.

El Pato Feliz is an easy-to-miss restaurant on SE 92nd in the heart of Lents. They've got a small interior decked out in their cute duck logo. I stopped by one evening on my way home, hoping for a quick and filling meal. I got lucky with a street parking spot right out front. Here's where things started to go wrong. I ordered four vegetarian burritos. Yes, four. I was really hungry and I assumed my partner would want one or two. To their credit, the cashier asked if that's really what I wanted. So I think they tried to stop me from making this mistake. After I paid, I realized I had ordered bean and cheese burritos. I also noticed that the 'bean and cheese burrito' is listed three times on their menu at three different prices. Unfortunately I was charged the highest of the three prices. I waited nearly thirty minutes for my to go order. That seems like a long time to me. The restaurant was nearly empty. Finally I got the bean and cheese burritos. They were huge. But, they were literally just that... bean and cheese. No rice, no veggies, just bean and cheese. It made for a really mushy texture and a very monotone taste. This is partly on me for not clarifying when I placed the order, but I did initially ask for a vegetarian burrito. They do offer an amazing array of salsas. I got one of each and loved sampling them all with the complimentary chips. Love that. I'm not sure I'll be back. But if there is to be a next time, my suggestion is to (1) order ahead by calling in, and (2) make sure to clarify what the order is and how much it'll cost.

A regular stop! Great food, especially the enchiladas and ground beef tacos. Cozy little place that makes you feel like you're in your abuelita's cocina. Sometimes it can take a while to get your food, but that's not really a problem especially if you call your order in ahead of time. Recommended!

Honestly a really disappointing experience. We got takeout and ordered two supreme burritos, we did not ask for them to be wet, however, that is how they came. The avocado on the top was not fresh and almost all brown and it was pretty pricey considering it was just a basic wet burrito (not sure what was 'supreme' about it, it was literally just carne asada meat inside) with rice and beans on the side. Being from San Diego it is hard to find a great place but did feel confused and disappointed by all positive reviews. We also felt that the horchata had way too much cinnamon and had a bit of a weird flavor, all in all would not come back here.

Love this place! Delicious and simple vegetarian options. Their spinach enchilada lunch plate with a side of avocado (very generous portion) is sooo tasty and is the perfect size for me. Very nice homestyle aguas frescas. Friendly, family-owned, adorably duck themed neighborhood gem. :)

I had to stop by the Eagle Eye this evening and wanted to grab something quick for dinner before heading home. I've walked past this place when they were open a couple of times because they're between the bar and where I park, so I thought I'd give them a try.As much as I enjoy all the fancy restaurants around Portland with complex flavor profiles and creatively-inclined chefs, this is the sort of place that really makes a city's personality. It feels more like visiting someone's house in terms of atmosphere, with an old TV translating the shows into Spanish and the sounds of sizzling food from the kitchen just behind the counter. I think the most expensive thing on the menu was around $15, although I've had comparable food that cost twice that amount. It seems like they've accrued enough regulars that most people would probably just order at the counter rather than sitting down with a menu and, when people develop that level of rapport with their customers, you know they serve good comfort food. And good comfort food it was. It actually reminds me of the Mexican place back home I've been eating at since I was a kid. The burrito had a lovely blend of asada and melted cheese that creates a sort of filling warmth in the belly. I think it was probably much better than any of the ideas I had floating around in my head of where to go for dinner before I saw it. I'm thankful to have stumbled across it.
