The chicken salad is my absolute favorite! It came with this really good salad dressing and teriyaki sauce. It's very tender cooked yet grilled on the outside.

I recently was following an influencer on some of the food places she raved about and teriyaki chicken is one of our staples that we love in our household. I was so excited to check out Du's based on her video!I called in to order takeout and I picked it up easy peezy - lots of parking on a weekday. The restaurant smelt good. I am a mobile-muncher, LOVE eating while driving, so I dug in. I loved the salad. I tried the chicken without any sauces and noticed it was really dry and overcooked. I poured the teriyaki sauce on it and not only was there not enough sauce in that teeny cup, but the sauce didn't fix anything. I do have to admit that the sauce is pretty tasty and I would've been happier with a lot more of it. My son had a bite and said it was too hard. I was so bummed because of all the hype! I'm not sure if I'll go back since there are so many other teriyaki chicken places to try.I unfollowed the influencer after this. We just have different palettes!

As a fourth generation Asian American I've had my fair share of teriyaki. This place has been hyped up so much that honestly I'm not quite sure what expectations I had. I don't know what got into my brain but I felt I had to have the chicken. So I got the chicken and the pork. The chicken was good. It was juicy enough. Nothing exceptional but in my opinion chicken is really easy to screw up. The pork had some good flavor on it. Nice char on it. Juicy enough. I liked it. I added some sauce but I think I added too much but that was my fault. If I loved salad I would appreciate the amount of it. Teriyaki salad has two kinds of dressing. Creamy and garlic ginger bomb. I guess I'd choose creamy. It was ok. Price was a little high. But it's possible I've completely lost touch. The soda machine was broken. I don't know if it always is, but I really wanted one. Ambiance is nothing special. On par for sandy boulevard so I'm not offended. Is it good. Yes. Is it worth crossing town and making it a compulsory Portland meal? That might be a stretch.

I've never been to this restaurant in person so I can't speak for the service or ambiance. But, my supervisor brought me a chicken teriyaki meal from Du's and I love it ! I have never heard of Du's till today. A coworker commented that a lot of people at our workplace eat at Du's and I can see why. Simple and straightforward. Easy to digest and packed with protein. Generous portions for the price. YUM!

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall...staffed by friendly people, with moderately quick service on a busy busy night. I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki/beef teriyaki. The pirtion was generous. I had to take half of it home. But that's a great problem to have. Next time, I'm gonna stick with just the chicken teriyaki, and make sure to ask for more teriyaki sauce.

Du's Grill has gone way down hill with its new ownership. The restaurant appears dirty and the workers have no customer services skills. It was a long wait for overpriced dry chicken and mushy rice. They only had a couple disposable red cups left for drinks and their soda machine was broken. I got some warm water instead. Not worth the money.

My last review of Du's was in 2016, but I've been going since at least 2007. Still--one of if not the best tasting anything in Portland. That's what she said. Honors: They were about to close for about an hour to service the grill (in the early afternoon), but after learning I was visiting from DC, fired up and made me two chickens extra sauce to go.

I'd been to Du's some years ago and remember it being decent for the price. I went here tonight after a long shift at work - I just needed some food and grilled beef sounded good. After a few minutes wait with nobody in line, someone helped me. They were out of rice and they said none would be ready for a while. They were unwilling to substitute noodles for rice and unable to offer me any other solution. There are lots of better restaurants in Portland that actually want business. I'm not going back to Du's

I've been eating here for 30 years and I get cravings if I go too long without stopping in. I may have a problem but I'm good with it. Always delicious and always great quality!

Shady pricing!! Menu says Yakisoba is $14 or $15.50 with meat. Ordered 1 Chicken Yakisoba and 1 Pork Yakisoba for pickup and was charged not $31, but instead they rang it up as $15.50 + $14 + $6 for "Additional meat". Too bad because I've been a pretty regular customer here and the food is great - but after this I will probably not return if this is what they're going to pull when getting rung up.
