Dulce Tentacion Bakery

Left everything last minute for planning my daughter's birthday party. I realized I had not ordered a cake yet. I normally order from a bakery from SE when they advised they no longer had capacity for another cake. I was looking on reviews online and decided to go somewhere local. I put in the order with reference to a cake they had online. It was a little pricey but being last minute I was okay with it with hopes that the cake would look great and taste delicious. They texted me (3) days before the party to confirm what design I wanted. They executed perfectly everyone loved the cake I would come here again. Im so happy I no longer need to drive to Portland for cakes.

(Español abajo) I do not recommend this bakery. I purchased two cakes, one marble and one Tres Leches. The cakes were 30 minutes late, one had the wrong name, the words were not centered, and the image was cut off (see pictures for details). The Marble cake was decent and no major complaints. The Tres Leches (Encanto) was dry and no sign of it being a Tres Leches. It was most likely a plain vanilla cake. When we went back to ask for a partial or full refund, the older gentleman that originally took our order was rude and told us to leave. He said we had underpaid for the cake (which he personally quoted us for with not indication that we were getting a discount) and therefore we did not have any rights ("if a person will pay [full price] and pays, then they have all the rights. But a $45 dollar cake, there's no point"). He also stated that I "had taken too long to order" - when I went in, I was just inquiring and trying to learn. He did seem impatient but I thought I had every right to ask for a minute to step a way and ask for advice from my family.No recomiendo esta panadería. Compré dos pasteles, una de marmol y una de Tres Leches. Los pasteles estaban listos 30 minutos tarde. Uno tenía el nombre equivocado, las palabras no estaban centradas y la imagen estaba cortada (ver imágenes para más detalles). El pastel de mármol estaba decente y no tengo quejas. El de Tres Leches (Encanto) estaba seco y no había señales de que fuera un Tres Leches. Lo más probable es que fuera un pastel de vainilla simple. Cuando volvimos a pedir un reembolso parcial o total, el señor que originalmente tomó nuestro pedido fue grosero y nos dijo que nos fuéramos. Dijo que habíamos pagado menos por el pastel (por lo que personalmente nos citó sin indicar que estábamos obteniendo un descuento) y, por lo tanto, no teníamos ningún derecho de reclamar (mire el video adjunto). También dijo que "había tardado demasiado en ordenar" - cuando ordene, solo fui para preguntar por el precio y Como lo podrían diseñar. Si parecía impaciente, pero pensé que yo tenía todo el derecho de pedir un minuto para llamar y pedir consejo a mi familia.

I ordered a tres leche cake (Bavarian cream filling) for my daughters birthday and it was moist and delicious and a huge hit at her party. Everyone asked me where I found such a beautiful cake. The woman who helped me place the order was also very friendly and helpful, asking questions to make sure they did the design to our liking. We will definitely order again, thank you!

They have a little restaurant/food cart/kitchen type thing set up outside of Dulce Tentacion. The food is DELICIOUS and its ALWAYS busy so we aren't the only ones who think its yummylicious!I took away a star bc one of the sandwiches was so delicious but the paper stuck to it pretty bad so it was messy to eat.

Came here for the first time recently after a friend recommended it and I'm so glad I did !! They have a big selection of yummy treats - flan, tres leches cakes, conchas & tons more- including piñatas.

Went here to eat at the taco cart set up outside it's BEYOND AMAZING my husband and I are foodies and this is the most authentic Mexican food we have had in Vancouver ever!!!! And super affordable! Support this local business!!!!

The food vendor outside has amazing authentic tacos - only downside is the lack of fans but the food more than makes up for it. Large portions of meat and only $3 each! Service is quick and always friendly.

Ordered a birthday cake for one of our employees. It was not only beautifully decorated with fruit, but also delicious! I will definitely be getting my cakes here going forward!

Si le pudriera dar un negativo le daría uno. Desafortunadamente para el sr. Linares. La verdad si me gustaba pero con la esta última experiencia. Mejor ni vayan. El pastel equivocado, me avisan un día antes, que ya estaba lo habían empezado, pero que se equivocaron y me dieron uno mucho más grande. El size equivocado. Lo pedí EXTRA MOJADO y me lo dieron EXTRA SECO Que cuando le reclame y le dije que le falta la parte de arriba, una decoración, una foto, Praga arriba, que no que pues ni modo tienen más gente que si lo quiero asta las 8 o más tarde, AUNQUE estaba anotado en el recibo y que básicamente le hablara como le hablo a un niño para que no se ofendan, que porque va a llorar, no fui grocery, simplemente le contestaba preguntando que qué pasó pero no le gusto como le hable y se ofendió y se hizo la ofendida y ya ahí quedo el pastel y todo. $90 DESPERDICIADOS.

Birthday cake was beautiful, except for handwritten salutation, and good, BUT it was the WRONG flavor we ordered, and of course did not know it until happy birthday was sung and cake was cut. What a disappointment! We paid $80 for the cake. Called store and was told we could get 50% off NEXT order. I have lived here 11 years and have never visited this store so guess it will be another 11 years before I can get my 50% off. The man was rude and first said he made it and that it was the correct flavor, and then in another conversation he said the person that made it was in the hospital, huh?? I do not recommend unless you do not care what flavor you get!
