First time here. It was jumping on noon on a Wednesday. Great vibe. Just went with everything the server steered us towards and nothing disappointed. My favorite was the cucumbers! The soup dumplings were outrageous. Loved making dipping sauce from soy/chili oil and ginger. My kids went crazy for the scallion pancake. We all loved the noodles. Everything was so reasonably priced. Glad we came here on a whim! A+++++

Great to have this chain available downtown and a great view with the high glass windows. I've had Dough Zone in Seattle and glad to see it here.Portions at least for takeout were on the smaller side but the flavors and food quality are top notch. The pork xiao long bao is delicious - delicate wrapped soup dumplings filled with great filling and better soup, 8 to an order. The beef stew noodles is very flavorful, almost more like a dipping tsukomen than a traditional beef noodle soup, so it's intense but good. The roast beef roll is another classic - more lettuce than I'm used to and some pickled veg somewhere in there too, but flavors come together well. Add some chili oil and chow down on that green onion pancake holding it all together. If you don't want to wait for Din Tai Fung, this is a great option.

I appreciate that there is a dumpling place right by the hotel where I stayed at during my visit to Portland. Right when I entered, there is a iPad where you check in with the waiter. However, there was no wait upon arrival and we were seated quickly. It reminded me of Din Tai fung. Prices are cheaper and you still get great quality food. I ordered the pork and veggie soup dumplings, chicken and veggie noodles and the beef soup noodles. Everything tasted delicious. However, the chicken and the veggie noodles were a bit too salty for my taste. The green beans tasted like they were marinated in just pure salt and vinegar. Therefore, one less star. Other than that, I had a good experience here. I had a table right by the window overlooking the bridge so it was a nice evening with a view. Can't beat that for a nice dinner!

First let's start with how much food we got for like $50! I've gotten less food at places like din ti and paid well over $100. So that being said is worth the visit. The food was amazing and we ordered the passion tea and it comes in these super cute disposable or reusable cups if you're like me lol. We got the sweet and sour cucumber salad, cold noodles with sesame oil, the spicy chili oil pork wontons, chicken dumplings and everything was good. The decore is nice and clean and the service is fast, friendly and knowledgeable.. cause I had so many questions. Like why are some dumplings round and others wonton looking... but wontons can also be dumplings? I don't know I was confused haha but food is great will definitely be back.

Best waterfront views with the Hawthorne Bridge! This location is very nice and peaceful with the open space plan. Enjoying dinner while watching boaters go by is truly a unique dining experience in Portland. I recommend walking around the area and even going down to the dock if you can as one of the few areas that feels safe! Also plenty of surrounding paid street parking. All of the food we ordered was good. Everything tasted fresh and prepared exquisitely. I've never seen cucumber salad plated so beautiful! As someone who's an avid DTF fan, this restaurant comes pretty close to being as good.Food:- Pork Xiao Long Bao - Pork Wontons with Chili Sauce- Beef Pancake Roll- Sweet & Sour Cucumber- Dan Dan Noodles

Really fun place. Let's start with the most important dish: the pork soup dumplings.I thought they were pretty good. Decent amount of soup but could have used some more. Decent amount of juiciness in the meat but could have used more. A little under-salted.Still awesome though. I love soup dumplings. Especially with the soy-black vinegar-ginger sauce. I especially like that they mince the ginger for you; it makes it easier to incorporate into the sauce. My favorite dish though was the Szechuan Cold Noodles. The menu describes it as "Another Szechuan treasure", and I think they're right. We biked there on a hot day, so these slightly tangy cold noodles really hit the spot. It had the right amount of cucumbers: not too few, not too many. And I really loved the broth. It kinda reminded me of khao soi. Like, I was eager to drink the broth after finishing the noodles and cucumbers. Very eager.I also really loved the thai iced tea. It had a nice strong tea flavor and wasn't too sweet. When I order thai iced tea elsewhere, it's almost always the opposite, which always frustrates me.The bao bun was fine. I mostly left it to my girlfriend. The banana naan bread I'd definitely skip. Not chewy enough Not crunchy enough. Undersalted. Just lacking. Our meal was about $80. We ordered a lot though. Next time we'd maybe spend like $60? I did like everything, but the price point is a little high for the quality that you get. Still four-star worthy though, I think. We'll be back when we're in the mood, but won't be rushing back.

I came here for the first time because of a recommendation and I liked it, it was the first time I've ever had pigs ear and was skeptical at first but it tasted so good with the Chinese crepes I can now say I love pigs ear. The wonton soup was great you can taste the hot & sour perfectly. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Dan Dan noodles I felt like there wasn't enough flavor just a lot of Szechuan pepper which overwhelmed the dish for me personally but if you think you'll like it give it a try it was funny to see my friends faces when they realized it was numbing their mouths. This restaurant is very classy and has beautiful views of the river it's definitely a must try ! I will be here again !

The inside is beautiful with the giant floor to ceiling windows facing the waterfront. I would come back just for the ambience itself!I was seated very quickly when I came in for dinner a little around 5:30pm. When I was leaving around 6:30pm there seemed to be a bigger crowd at the front waiting for seating so I advise to come early. The service was nice and they were attentive throughout my time there. Regarding the food, starting off with the good: the sweet and sour cucumbers are a must have for something refreshing! The xiao long baos also came to me piping hot and they had plenty of delicious soup inside. For the bad/meh: I'm always looking forward to spicy wontons in dim sum restaurants and these were really bland. I added some extra chili oil on top hoping it would taste better. Didn't even bother to finish it :( Also the only dessert option they had was banana naan bread so I wish there were more options since I wasn't really feeling that.Overall it's a place that won't break your bank but still give you a good enough dim sum experience!

We LOVED this place! We ordered so much that I can't recall absolutely everything we ordered, but everything was incredibly delicious and well worth the price. The standouts I clearly recall were the cucumbers, the Yi Bin noodles, the pork soup dumplings and the tea drinks. The Yi Bin noodles specifically were perfectly springy and had this incredible semi-spicy yet umami, almost meaty flavor. The cucumbers were springy and refreshing. And the assortment of teas we ordered were all sweet and tasty! The wide open dining space and view of the river made it a really pleasant dinner, even waiting for our food felt like a treat with this view. The service was prompt and the servers were quite kind, and when the kitchen forgot to bring out one of our orders we got a piping hot fresh order super quickly!

The food was very good, great even. But the service is pretty awful. At one point my uncle knocked his water over and instead of them cleaning up the spill, they merely put up a wet floor sign next to him. He was sitting in his wet seat with a pool of water at his feet for the remainder of the meal. While he was good natured about it, and we all had to good laugh at his expense, that's absolutely ridiculous!
