When you are craving an ice cold beer from the tap, I'd recommend this location. There is ample seating and big tables to accommodate large groups. The server was attentive. No waiting needed. They also have an NA section for those that are on a 2 beer limit a night like myself. Then you can switch to NA beer if you still crave beer after you've exceeded your limit.

One of our favorite breweries we frequently visit was too disappointing on our last visit.From beginning the beertender on the bar side was downright horrible. The unprofessional server was pathetic in greeting and service.We came in so excited to drink the fresh hop harvest brews and watch the game! She did not know the current list and she recommended and served a non fresh hop. Seeing there was only one table seated around us at the time we patiently waited 15 minutes before asking her if our beer was coming. She looked annoyed and walked away. We watched her stand behind the bar and do nothing. 5 minutes longer she finally brought our beer. When we pointed out her mistake that it was not a fresh hop, her response, 'what do you want me to do about it' was unbelievable.Our food was delayed and she never came around. When giving our bill she hovered to watch us fill it out. At the end the most sarcastic, 'have a nice day'.This is the only time out of dozens did we experience such horrible service at Deschutes.

Service was good vibe was good but the food was average and mid. Got the fish and chips it was just ok. The dessert we got was the marionbary cobbler and it was not very good. Not bad but wouldn't get it again...pretty average.,

This location has a spacious and inviting location, perfect for grabbing a drink. We went for a couple of drinks and decided to snack on some food, but unfortunately, the experience didn't meet expectations. The garlic fries were overwhelming, with cold cheese on top and fries that felt more like cardboard than crispy goodness. The tres leches cake was okay, but it didn't quite capture the essence of a true tres leches--lacking the expected moisture and depth of flavor. To top it off, the service was disappointing. Our server seemed disinterested and gave off the impression he didn't want to be there. During payment, he was oddly protective of the card reader, refusing to hand it over during the tip input, which felt uncomfortable. Overall, not the best experience, and I'm not sure I'd return.

The pub burger was SO GOOD. Two smash burgers stacked, with the softest bun ever. Good to share, and definitely upgrade the fries to the manchego garlic fries. Worth it. $5 pint Fridays is fun, but does not apply to all their selection of beers, just a heads up! The kids mac n cheese is on another level, also. I've never seen noodles like the ones they use, but as our waitress put it, "cheese gets all in there", and it is DELICIOUS! Great family spot, lots of seating, and love their open airy decor. Excellent service, too!

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Portland. Was recommended by the receptionist of our hotel. Really liked the overall vibe and the interior is open and inviting . We ordered the test sampler which gives you six 4oz glasses and is a great way to taste a variety of beers. They had some nice IPAs and it's fun to try to taste the subtle differences. For food we got the pub burger with the manchego garlic fries and the chicken salad. Burger was great, fries were ok, but the sauce overpowers the manchego cheese, would have probably been better without the sauce. The chicken salad was good. Would definitely recommend this to people visiting if your in the mood for a casual meal and good beer.

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch here today. There is a little bit of outdoor seating and a lot of indoor seating. The ambiance is kind of mountain lodge-like, casual and lots of wood everywhere. We got this fruity salad with burrata, and it was good. My 6-beer sampler flight was also enjoyable It is family friendly, too! There was a play area for little kids in the corner - with many books, a play kitchen, small table for kids to play at, a fabric tunnel for crawling through, and more.

Hmm, my second visit here (7 years apart), but to be honest it didn't feel as great as before , and didn't live up to the hype.. The ambiance is superb, but beer wasn't that great. Food was good but pricey. Visited with a friend during late lunch hours , got a window/side entrance seat (front desk staff weren't that friendly but our server Sivah , she was really nice and helpful)

For dinner, I had the Quinoa Burger with vegan cheese and aioli. The beer menu includes two pre-selected flights of six different beers. For $2 more, I handpicked a flight of six beers. I concluded with a serving of Black Butte XXXVI, their anniversary imperial porter, which is out of this world. Next on my list is the Barrel-Aged Black Butte Whiskey Manhattan.I like the variety of indoor and outdoor seating, including bar and family dining sections. The vibe is pleasant. Service is friendly and attentive. The store is well-stocked with beer to go. I was unimpressed with the selection of shirts.

3 stars, mostly cause of female server was good. After a day at Halloweentown in Saint Helens, my friend recommended coming to Deschutes for dinner, as she's a fan of the beer and we wanted something low key. We were seated immediately near an opening where you could walk outside, which was okay but the sidewalk smell of cigarettes really turns you off when trying to eat. I ordered the chipotle maple bourbon wings, and omg, they're pretty damn spicy! I usually can tolerate spicy, but this was hard to eat for some reason, still very good if you can handle it. Nowww the pulled pork, oh man, DRY! After 30 min after receiving the food, server comes by and asks if everything was okay, I asked if my sandwich was supposed to come with sauce, haha.. Evwn she was like, "damn that is dry." But shoutout to her and the manager for doing what they could to fix the issue for my friend and I. Good beer, food not so much
