Typically I don't like chain restaurants, but this local chain, Cha Cha Cha, serves up some great Mexican food. When I lived in NE, there was a Cha Cha Cha within walking distance and when I didn't feel like cooking, I'd walk over for some tacos, enchiladas or a chimichanga. So when I spotted this Cha Cha Cha after a stroll through the Farmers Market, I had to stop in. Same great food, prepared fresh and served hot. Since it's been awhile, I decided to go with my favorite, the carne asada chimichanga, no beans. it was as delicious as I remembered, the meat perfectly seasoned, and combined with rice and cheese, rolled up like a burrito, then deep fried. And topped with guacamole, sour cream and crisp, shredded lettuce. Yep, I went for the calorie splurge! Inside was casual, various seating arrangements. Parking on the street. easy access to SE McCloughlin. Glad I found this location! Next time I'll go for dinner and enjoy a spicy margarita, which always satisfies.

Orders one asada burrito and asada sopas. In both the meat was extremely chewy/tough with absolutely no seasoning/flavor beyond the hot sauce. Unlikely to go back for awhile as this food really put, pun intended, a bad taste in my mouth.Otherwise, good service/ambiance.

It actually should be one and a half stars giving it that because the people are nice atmosphere was OK. Food was absolutely horrible. I had Molcajete every bite I took I had to spit out because the meat was gristle and fat as for the flavor not much. husband had a tostada that had sweet flavor on it for some reason, and we also had a enchilada very blah. nothing about this food was good
