We dined here about a year ago and had a great meal. Our second visit this week was pretty bland. The pasta dishes were mediocre at best, no seasoning. We also ordered garlic bread to accompany dinner, bland. We returned the dish suggesting maybe they forgot the garlic? It was replaced with a new order, just as tasteless but actually worse as it was undercooked. The service was good, wine was good...but the meals were so bland we won't be back.Too bad, they used to be good.

This is a cute little place on division. We sat down and were given bread with oil and balsamic that was really good! I came very hungry so i asked for another order of bread and oil after we ordered our entrees and they only brought the bread. The bread itself was still good but the oil and balsamic really brings it together. I ordered the mushroom and sausage pasta. It was very good and would get it again. I will say that the restaurant is very very loud. I had to scream across the table to talk with my friends and there were only 4 of us. The service was also very long. We waited about 45min for our food. Not sure if the pasta was good enough for me to come back to a loud restaurant and wait 45min for.

I came here one cold evening with my boyfriend and this was such a cozy spot for dinner! When we came, it was around dinner time (6/7pm), so the place was packed. We told the host that we could sit at the bar, and so we were offered two seats at a bar, near the door, and across from the kitchen. Although the seats were tight, I absolutely loved sitting there and watching the chefs cook as well as how cozy it felt. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of a home, and only adds to the warm ambiance. The host was very fun and easy to talk to.My boyfriend and I got the garlic bread, lasagna, and spaghetti all'aglio, with a glass of white wine. They were all phenomenal. The garlic bread was on light and fluffy (but crispy) bread with lots of garlic flavor. The lasagna was the perfect portion size and delicious. And the spaghetti all'aglio was simple, and exactly what I was craving. I would love to come here again and always recommend it to friends.

Superb. Absolutely superb. A phenomenal experience from the arrival to the departure. Things to know ahead of time:1. Parking can be a little tricky. We found a spot along the street in the neighborhood around the restaurant.2. Reservations are available (I know because they asked when we walked in about 90 minutes before they closed on a Sunday night). Since there are only about 25-30 seats inside, this might be a really good idea. Things to consider during your visit:1. The Sangiovese - available by the glass. Inexpensive and delicious. 2. The zucchini appetizer is very simple, but very tasty. Lightly grilled and based with some oil and spices, it is light and refreshing. But packs more flavor than you expect. 3. Anything pasta. I was thankful that they meals were filling, without being overwhelming in size. You might not leave with leftovers, but you will leave with full AND HAPPY stomachs. This is the type of place you recommend to your friends and rave about for weeks to come.

Small and intimate place for fantastic Italian dishes. This place encapsulate all my cravings and more! FOODWe ordered Frutti Di Mare and a special of the day. Both tasted amazing. The sauce was made to perfection. Not too acidic nor sweet. Pure chef's kiss. The pasta itself is the true definition of fresh and al dente. We also ordered tiramisu as well. Even though the tiramisu are pretty average from what I've had in the past, but the presentation is phenomenal. Highly recommend it. SERVICEThe service is pretty decent. The restaurant itself is relatively small but it's quiet enough to hold a conversation. ALL IN ALL, solid date spot for Italian food. Highly recommend it based on the taste and presentation of the food!

We were in the mood for Italian food and Casa Italia on Division was our choice. It was dinner hour and we had no reservations, but every effort was made to seat us. We ate in the comfortable outside covered seating area. (The weather outside was rainy, windy and black.) They gave us a plate of Italian bread cubes and an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip right off the bat. For dinner, I wanted Risotto, but they didn't have it. Instead, I chose the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. Rigatoni with a traditional, slow home cooked meat sauce and a side of (I liked mine better, to be honest with you). and a side of Crimini Mushrooms Sautéed w/ Italian herbs. At first I didn't care for the smell, nor the taste. But, as I got used to the flavor, I started liking it, and eating it all gone! Hubby had a Minestrone Soup and Spaghetti con Polpette. Spaghetti Marinara with home-made meatballs. He thought that all of the food he tasted was delicious. And, between the two of us we took home enough for my lunch the next day. The restaurant had a cozy feel to it, service was friendly, restroom was clean and the food was good. I gave them 3 stars, because I've had better Italian restaurants in Portland, this is not the best! IMO

Parking was horrible. No wait to be seated. Very limited wine menu. Excessively loud due to two large parties. Service was marginal. Food was average.
