Have you ever had a meal where everything just went right? Thanks to Carina Lounge tonight was that night for us. We asked a friend for recommendations of a place to be "wowed" and WOWED we were! Carina Lounge feels like the type of place locals go, and all the staff knows them. It's in a great place in Nob Hill for vintage charm and people watching. The staff were very kind, attentive enough without being smothering, cool, and very generous to us. I forgot to take a picture of the meatballs, but they were divine. Perfect marinara flavor with cheese, and French bread.I can never get Brussel sprouts right, but I do enjoy them by someone who knows how. The vinaigrette glaze was delicious. My husband decided to be adventurous and get the Salmon risotto. He loved it, and even ate the skin. The risotto was a perfect flavor that I can't quite figure out aside from the cheese goodness. I do love salmon, but also a lemony chicken. So I went with the Lemon Caper Chicken . It was the perfect blend of comfort food, with exquisite flavor. Plus, I love carrots!Of course we had to have room for dessert, and went with their gelato to which they obliged my request for a neopolitan dish. Then add a homemade biscotti on top, which I LOVE, and my husband always thinks is funny I get excited for them. The next time you want to venture into Portland for a great meal and atmosphere go here.

A fun spot with super cool happy hour deal. The moment they opened, people flooded in. During happy hour (4.30-5.30PM), you get $2 off house cocktails and $3 off small plates!I got the Piri Piri Prawns at happy hour price. It came with five large and fresh prawns. The sauce was zesty and refreshing. Love the garlics in there as well.I also got the Pasta Malfatti which was a uniquely spicy pasta. The sauce was rich with spices and chicken sausage. I've never had pasta like this before. The pasta itself was lasagna-shaped, fresh, and well-cooked (maybe a tad overdone) but it came out super hot which I love. Definitely a rich dish and the portion was great. Would be great to share with people so you can try multiple. The service was fast and friendly. I love the ambience inside a lot as well, very relaxing. This would be a fun spot for a special occasion or to meet up with a group if people. I would love to be back for their Penne Burrata, Goat Cheese Ravioli, and drinks!

Hands down one of the best meals I have had in my life! Not was the food unbelievably delicious, every single staff member was friendly and helpfully. From the time I made the call to see about wait times and if I needed a reservation the experience was so fantastic. I went there for my birthday and we ended up staying over 21/2 hours from starters, salads and small plates to dessert off the charts delicious. I can't wait to go back!

We visited on a Sunday evening around 5pm. The restaurant was not very crowded and we enjoyed great service. The food was excellent. Our family loves burgers and we have tried many establishments. Their burger is really good. The meat is ground in house and is very lean. It had good flavor and came with a serving of very crispy French Fries. The burger also has bacon and onion rings, too. It may be one of the best we've had in Portland. If you visit during their Social Hour, 4:30pm - 5:30pm, the burger is $16.50 ($3 off)Caesar salad with salmon was delicious. The salmon was seared and crispy on the outside. We liked that their salad included anchovies, which is not often served at many restaurants. We were a little surprised by the price, however. The menu stated that the Caesar salad was $16. We thought the salad including salmon was $20. It wasn't until we got home to write this review that we realized that the salad with salmon was an additional $20, which is $36. It was a good salad. But for the price, we would have preferred two burgers. The margherita pizza was excellent. It had a very crispy crust. During Social Hour, it's $16.50.We also tried three appetizers that were all very good: the Steak Bites, the Piri Piri Shrimp and the Mussels.During our visit, we had a chance to speak with their chef, Michael. He was really friendly. We found that he also loves good burgers. We plan on going back to Carina's. Five Stars!

I've often walked by and the food is served so beautifully and smells fantastic. Went for a late dinner mid week, Had the goat cheese ravioli, which was incredible and the bravette flank steak, the demi-glace was so good, actually everything was so good. All the food, the wine selection, the service and ambiance made the meal an enjoyable experience. Their creme Brûlée is the best I've had. The custard was rich but not too heavy and full of vanilla goodness. I look forward to the next visit. It's an intimate dining spot so I would recommend reservations.

We were a huge group of 15 or so, and they were so willing to host our large group. The service was smooth and efficient, and our waiter was extremely patient with all of our needs. We got a bunch of things, and I was actually really surprised by how "home-y" all the items tasted. I find that a lot of the times, food tends to be over seasoned, but that wasn't the case for the Carina Lounge. It looks and sounds unassumingly like a bar - and their cocktails are great, of course - but don't skip the food! The penne burrata was awesome, with what seemed like homemade pasta and a generous amount of moist burrata to top it off. The flatbread came with an epic amount of garlic; as a garlic-lover, this hit the spot. The fritto misto was also a nice touch, though I couldn't exactly figure out what vegetable I was having at times. Thanks Carina Lounge for hosting us!

Came here for pizza week, and even though the pizza looked small, we wanted to try it because of the lamb. The service was awesome, we got there when it opened and were seated right away. It was a nice day out, so we were able to sit outside and relax, which was great because it's a cool neighborhood and spot we hadn't been to before with a good vibe. The crust as good and had flavor, the pizza had good portions and compared to other places we went, you could really taste the lamb. We definitely want to come by and try other things on the menu. As dishes were being delivered to other people, we couldn't help but glance and drool and how good everything else looked!!!

She made a scene and totally embarrass herself knowing it was my sons birthday (I had added a note the the reservation) Wildly disrespectful and unprofessional. SHE WASNT EVEN MY WAITRESS !

This is a little local cafe that is perfection. Friendly staff, soft ambiance, crafted cocktails & delish food. I had the Penne Burrata and it did not disappoint. Portions were a really nice size. My husband had the pork chop and was also happy with his selection. Yelp lead us tot his place and we are so happy fellow yelpers have left such positive feedback or we probably would have never found this place. If you haven't been here add it to your list and if you have been here you already know how special it is.
