Cafe Olli

This is an interesting eclectic neighborhood cafe. Staff who, I understand are owners, seem fully vested and enjoying their jobs.The space is very pleasent, if not particularly comfortable seating, but light and airy, with a nice inside out vibe. You order at the counter, no deviations from the menu are allowed, which I think is a good thing, what you see, is what you get.I dnjoyed the breakfast sandwich with a sausage patty, hot sauce and fried egg on a milk bun, and my friend loved the savory Faro bowl. She's from Brooklyn, so pretty familiar vibe.I thought the employees here were fantastic, but honestly the kitchen could use some further expertise. There are so many amazing venues in Portland, you can not get by on good alone, you need serious food chops.

What a lovely group of employees. Each person was cheerful and personalizable. That always contributes to a happy experience. Amazing and quite large pizza. We ordered the Supreme and it was delightful. Excellent meatballs, fresh mozzarella cheese and expertly charred crust. The sliced chilies added the perfect amount of spice.The Farro Salad was also delicious. Light dressing, lots of crunch and very filling. Lastly, my Sparkling Lemonade was the exact amount of sour that I adore.Thank you for a superior lunch. Will be back!

I recently ventured to Cafe Olli with a new foodie friend, and we were both pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a bright, cheerful atmosphere that's perfect for a casual brunch.We decided to share a couple of dishes to try a bit more variety. The Brunch Greens were a standout - a hearty salad with fresh, flavorful ingredients with a perfect amount of dressing. The Whipped Ricotta Toast was a bit of a mixed bag. While I loved its subtle sweetness and creamy texture, my friend found it a bit too cheesy. It was more of a cream cheese type texture as opposed to a whipped texture.To round out our meal, we ordered a side of bacon, and it was tasty. It was thick cut, flavorful, and not greasy at all (and a huge portion!). My friend even said it was one of the best bacon orders she'd ever had.Overall, Cafe Olli is a great spot for a satisfying brunch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is friendly.

Decided to go try Cafe Olli for their brunch. The indoor space is gorgeous with exposed wood and a wood fired oven front and center. I tried the frittata sandwich and a Portuguese egg tart. I found the frittata sandwich to be underwhelming and would not come back for it. I really enjoyed the Portuguese egg tart and thought the other pastries thry had in stock all sounded/looked great.I probably wont be coming back to Cafe Olli for brunch, but will stop in to grab pastries and will look to try their dinner service.

Would've given 5 stars if I had tried some of the food myself. Everything was on point, staff was great, good ambiance, and overall great vibe. Chocolate cake was insane and supremely delicious. Great dessert stop. Don't miss out. Gotta come back and try the pizza. My dining mates had theirs.

The food here is delicious, there's no question about it! Love how fresh it is and healthy. Large chunks of cucumber with peaches, peppers, feta and puffed rice. My only complaint is that for $19 the salad isn't entree sized and oddly there wasn't enough dressing for the whole salad and I have a really light hand. Service is fairly quick here, you order at the front and then take your number and seat either inside or under shaded tents outside.

This place is extremely expensive and the service was not good, I did order a bacon side, and they brought it after 30 minutes of waiting and eating my main plate, that is not ok . Thank you

Wow, this was quite the discovery on MLK in NE. Had to wait until noon for lunch (they serve breakfast too), and it was worth it. Incredible wood fired pizzas that are in the upper crust of the impressive Portland pizza scene. Reminds me of Apizza Scholls, the old Via Tribunali, Ken's Artisan, Pizza Jerk. The one we ordered was mortadella, ricotta, pistachios, stracciatella, balsamic - crazy and awesome combo! I had a nice martini (noon is not too early, right?), and a glass of red. Counter service, so set those expectations correctly. Sunny space, smiles from service. What a find!

Absolutely phenomenal food and service all around!! The chickpea and snap pea salads were both insane. Unique, fresh flavors and great portion sizes! The zucchini pizza was DELISH, as well as the Italian sausage pizza! It had polenta on it, which was a very interesting topping...but my favorite! Added a creamy sweetness with a crunch. Highlyyyyy recommend this place!! Excellent food and friendly staff. Will be back :)

20% auto gratuity boo.The wait is long.Staff take their time doing things.Brunch atmosphere. Food is fanciful, very pricey for small portions. Good flavors. If you get a seat at the bar top it is amusing to watch the work around the wood fire oven.Small & tight parking lot. Better off with street parking inside of MLK.Missing the days of Ned Ludd.
