Service was wonderful. Food not so much! Their lemon ricotta French toast was ok. No lemon flavor whatsoever, sadly. The hash browns were a big disappointment. Just a blob of starch. No taste. Ham and cheese omelette was generous on ham. Still, I've had better at cheaper places. Was underwhelmed at the ambiance.Maybe it was just a bad day there? Food wise?

This used to be a family favorite spot for us - but we hadn't been here for a few years since we moved. The waffles were terrible, as indicated by so many instances of other diners leaving behind 75% of the waffles. And out of maple syrup! The French toast was overdone and the French press coffee was cold... Our server was new at the job. He was trying hard but forgot our asks a couple of times. The ambiance was incredible. Best part of the restaurant and the one thing that is still as good as it always was. Highly recommend sitting downstairs outside.

I can't believe I've driven past this spot so many times and never been! The steak and eggs here were absolutely incredible, buttery soft steak and incredibly well rounded gravy. But I really could not get enough of the lemon curd French toast- definitely order one for the table. The only downsides on this specific day was they were only taking cash and we had to visit an ATM down the street. This was advertised before putting our name in. But upon sitting down our waiter informed us they were not serving alcohol. Normally this isn't a big deal but given we were out for a Sunday brunch, I wish this was also advertised. Overall, I will absolutely come back, and I will hope cash and booze are sorted out by then!

We had an amazingly delicious dinner here a couple of weeks ago. The neighborhood French restaurant could not be cuter, the owners are so friendly and committed to locally sourced, seasonally fresh and delicious food and spirits, and the whole dinner and service could not have been better.I so wish we lived closer. This is a gem and I cannot wait to return!

I wanted to keep this gem to myself but that would not be doing anyone justice because this is a run, don't walk, situation Cafe Du Berry in Portland has the best breakfast in town. We had the eggs benedict, pepper steak and French toast and I would order the same thing again. All dishes were flavorful and large portions! Not only is the food unforgettable but the service and staff are quick, friendly and attentive. The restaurant has three different seating areas with all different ambiance vibes but all are amazing!

I made a list to try out restaurants, that I might be bringing my luncheon group for a luncheon gathering, all through the year. Cafe Du Berry was #1 on my list for 2024 to try out. The seating was outside, with the heat & fan scattered about. We didn't plan on doing that, but luckily we're prepared wearing the correct attire, when we went there, since we've not been there before. We discovered a large formal dining area on the second floor (restroom area) that was not used at the time we were there. It would have been cozier, if we ate upstairs, I avoided sitting near a heat/fan, since my hot flashes goes up or down any moment's time. But I did fine, outside! Hubby, on the other hand, wore his thick winter coat, all during our meal.We ordered Crab Benedict, and Spanish Omelette. Both are huge! They came with hash brown potatoes, several types of fruit. The Spanish Omelette was wonderful, according to hubby 'like the Spanish Omelette I remember when I was a kid!' Also, we got a side of bacon, that was very, very tasty! The Crab Benedict was what I was craving for! We have the right amount of fruit. The OJ was also the right amount size for me. I think, my leftovers was even better the next day!The service was good, friendly. The only negative, that I found, was there were cobwebs on the light fixtures in the restroom.

Wonderful food! We liked the extensive menu for brunch. One order was dropped for our large group, but it came late and we were comped for the error. We had plenty of space upstairs for our talkative group, which was appreciated.

This place used to be delicious. Not anymore. The hashbrowns were burnt on the outside and undercooked inside, the tasteless, overcooked veggies were drowned in a overpowering lemony "hollandaise" sauce. The bread underneath wasn't even toasted properly. My dates dish of a basic eggs and fruit was awful as well. How you can F that up, is amazing. I did tell our server that the food was not good. Her response was "well that's just how they make things here, we get a lot of complaints." WTF!? We would have been better off going to Denny's. Seriously.
