"Great food and all the dishes we ordered tasted amazing. Lot of options for vegan food lovers too. I got Spring Roll, Lemon grass chicken, Grilled veggies and tofu.Good spot to hangout and grab some food with friends."
"I can't say enough good things about pho hung, they're the original pho restaurant in Portland. They been opened since 1990 and I'm sure every Asian kid who has grew up in Portland knows this is a staple/OG.We love coming here on rainy days and so glad they were open this Christmas Day! The pho comes out piping hot and QUICK! Everything is so fresh and once you take that first sip it hits the soul. They definitely don't skimp on the meat like other pho restaurants do and the prices are very reasonable. If your adventurous, try the Super Bowl it's a little bit of everything and if your like my husband you can't go wrong with pho tai. Happy pho eating y'all!"

"I would highly recommend this restaurant! We searched for a yummy place near Vancouver waterfront and this place popped up on yelp. It was way more crowded than expected - took about 45 minutes to get seated, but our schedule allowed us to wait so we didn't mind.We ended up ordering a bunch of different dishes - crispy fried tofu sticks with yummy peanut butter sauce, deep fried potstickers, lemon grass chicken bahn mi (good, but even better with the peanut butter sauce from the tofu appetizer, the pad sew ew with tofu and the popular chicken noodle curry soup. The curry soup was delicious, and filled with vegetables and chicken; after enjoying the noodles, I added a bit of rice to make a second dish! We added some spicy chili oil to the soup and noodles and the dishes had an even brighter flavor! We parked across the street at the parking garage and paid $4 for 2 hour parking. (They didn't offer validated parking)."
"Even for Portlanders, this is unique & unusual.A vibe inside on its own, heavily decorated in their own style. A layout fit for late nite. The bartender who is very musically talented will hype up a busy night on the karaoke microphone or passionately sing to a single table in an empty house. That in itself shows the love in ownership & music. 48 hour bone broth, fresh ingredients, no MSG, a variety of tasty Asian cuisine.Their website says it all."
"A friend recommended this place to me since I was craving bun Bo HueThis place is so good for bun Bo hue, it has the right amount of spiciness, very flavorful and the noodles were good! I highly recommend it!We also ordered the banh cuon, but they forgot to make it, guess have to go back to get it next time!"
"Wow, this might be the nicest restaurant I've ever eaten at. Not as in upscale and spend a lot of money nice, but as in an oasis of greenery with friendly staff, that fur serves impeccable and delicious food for a reasonable priceI lucked out because I just looked for something close and didn't even read the reviews. The parking lot was packed with cars, always a good sign, and the abundant and well cared for landscaping and building gave a welcoming and delightful vibe .Inside is a cavern environment, full of incredible plants so it feels like you are eating in a greenhouse .And yes, the food is the bomb. And it's quite reasonably priced. And the bathrooms are also lovely and the staff are very friendly. It was Sunday and they were slammed so it took a while for someone to take my order and for food to come, but other than that, I was very pleased with the experience. I'll be back. Frequently."
"Back again after years away. They have upped their game#10 Pho was spot on, Only reason for 4 stars is the price / value."
"Absolutely fantastic cuisine! Walked in on a Friday evening, not too busy appeared to be preparing MANY take out orders. Smaller and tidy on the inside, but plenty of seating. There is outside seating as well. Everything we had was outstanding!! Really friendly, chef even came out to chat. Food portions were great, with vegetarian options. I can't wait to go back, give it a try you'll be glad you did!!!!"
"I definitely think I found one of my favorite banh mi places in PDX. Everything was so good, filling, fresh, and flavorful. It definitely is a hole in a wall type of place. So whether you're sitting down real quick to chow it down or getting to go, this place was great.Service is quick and straightforward. I got the house special and I easily could have eaten two of them. Iced coffee is alright, but does the job if you're craving some!"
"I absolutely love Vietnamese food. I enjoy learning about the subtle differences between regional dishes, and often find restauranteurs in Portland are open to sharing knowledge of their cuisine me. I was recently excited to learn that in relation to pho, soup from the north features a more refined, clear broth with minimal toppings. And soup from the south has a richer, sweeter broth with a wider variety of herbs and garnishes. The history of the dish is really fascinating, and most definitely warrants additional study. I've learned that pho originated in northern Vietnam, in Hanoi. And as families fled northern Vietnam in the 1950s, regional variations of the dish emerged based on availability of local ingredients and tastes. Armed with this knowledge, when I discovered Hanoi Kitchen is one of the few restaurants to feature Northern Vietnamese dishes in Portland, I jumped at the chance to check it out. Hanoi Kitchen has the appearance of being a family restaurant. It's a large, open space with lots of plants and the most gorgeous wood floors I've ever seen. It's a beautiful space filled with art, and has plenty of seating for lots and lots of people. A friendly woman named Kim runs the place, taking orders, making the food, and cleaning up! Her dedication to this restaurant and the community is impressive. And it's clear she's made an impact on the customers she serves. The wall behind the counter is plastered with postcards, letters, wedding invitations and funeral announcements from the friends and family she's served over the years. I love this sense of community as it show's Kim's heart is in both her work and the food she serves. Hanoi Kitchen claims they don't use MSG in the food they prepare, and all of the ingredients appear to be fresh and healthy - in fact, Kim even brings eggs to the restaurant from her own chickens! You can buy organic farm eggs for $5 a dozen! Everything about this restaurant indicates familial, homestyle cooking which is something I strive for these days. I love supporting restaurants and businesses who are invested in the communities they serve."

I used to be a regular at this place many years ago when I used to live in Hillsboro. I still remember the small place that Vivi's was and the amazing smell as soon as we enter the restaurant. I recently happened to visit Hillsboro and both times I ended up going to Vivi's for lunch. I tried their Tofu rice plate recently and it was delicious, no change, nostalgic!

I was in the mood for Thai food and this was the closest spot near my hotel. It's located next to Regal movie theater. Service was friendly. The pad Thai with chicken was flavorful but the noodles were on the tougher side and the chicken was too dry for me. The crispy duck curry was good but the mild curry was too spicy for me. The Thai iced coffee was decent.

Wow!!!! We had such an amazingly delicious meal here today! The place is super cute. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. And everything is gluten free, and very veg/vegan friendly. We started with the tofu egg rolls, then had the pan fried rice with shrimp and the vermicelli salad bowl with tofu. And everything was SO tasty!!! You choose your spice heat level, but even level five isn't too spicy. Thursday nights they have fun, live music and (later) karaoke. This is a hidden gem. They do dine in and carry out. It's super fun and we will absolutely come back the next time we're in town.

This place has some really good Bun Bo Hue. The store seems very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is clean and simple. I got the regular sized bowl, and I still felt like the portions were great. If you're extra hungry, you can opt to get a large size bowl. For the size of the bowl, I'd say the price is pretty fair. There is a discount if you use cash. I really love the flavor of the soup and the mix of all the ingredients in the bowl like the meat and vegetables. They do offer various other Vietnamese dishes, but I'd say you should definitely check this spot out if you're craving Bun Bo Hue.

This place offers a spacious dining area, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The pho tastes good, with a rich, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients. However, the service could be improved, as it wasn't as attentive as expected. Despite this, the overall experience is pleasant and the food is worth trying.

"This is one of my new favorite spots in Portland.Everything on the menu is fire and they have some great healthy options as well. The impossible rolls, the abundance bowl, the pho broth, and so much more are all winners. The staff is great, ambiance and setting is a vibe, and the outdoor patio gives you the ability to eat and catch some fresh air as well. Will definitely keep returning"
"The Pineapple Mojito cocktail was tasty.Enjoyed the Crispy Catfish Banh Mi, I wish it was offered as a rice dish. And the crispy egg rolls were a cut above the norm in size and taste. Price points are higher as the menu is a bit elevated as is the area. Friendly and quick service."
"Great service! The food was good and filling, and my pho was on point. Prices are decent and you get a good portion for what you pay. Overall a good spot."
"Both Pho Hung locations are considered the best in Portland by foodies in my circles.I think this location is owned by the sister and the on on Powell is owned by the brother. If you prefer a more Vietnamese ambiance, this location has it hands down. The elegant elevated wooden booths are great if you want more privacy.Today I asked the waiter which Pho has the most soft tendon. He replied that they could add more soft tendon to any of the Phos.I wanted more soft tendons because Chinese believe that it nourishes the joints and connective tissue as a natural source of collagen. The answer is #9 Eye of Round with Soft Tendons.I'm loving it Fresh Avocado shakes are my go to for beverages. Ask the waiter which have fresh fruit on ingredients. That's one of the special things about this place, over and above a standard Boba place.Check it out!"
"I came here because I was craving Vietnamese food and getting kind of tired of only eating on the east side of the Willamette, so I decided to check this spot out! It's a cozy spot, with more seating than it looks and a nice, quiet environment. Decor is nice and they also have a bar, unlike a lot of other Viet spots!I was pretty surprised by how extensive their menu was--there was a lot of options you typically don't see and some unique ones, I've never heard of as a Viet (such as spider roll and lobster pho). I got the hu tieu kho and my boyfriend got the pho; the food didn't take that long to come out. The food was so healing, definitely comfort food, and so so much better than I thought. Although it's probably not the best I've had in Portland, it is definitely on the better side and from their diverse menu, this place will become a favorite as I try more items from them!"
"No menu as they only offer three items, simple. The Bun Bo Hue was the star of the show, but the chicken pho was right up there with the best in town. Love the type of ice tea they serve.Pleasant service and overall atmosphere. And real Sriracha at every table."
"This place is easily one of my fave go to Uber eats to my office. I'm rarely on the NE side so being able to order some comfort food that's delicious is nice while working downtown. They always pack it carefully and ensure that my beef is separated so it's not overcooked by the time it gets to me. Their broth is really delicious and it makes for a great lunch. I'll have to go to the store sometime but it'll definitely stay in my rotation of meals."
"There's just something about Pho that makes me very happy. I ordered my first bowl 25 years ago, and it's been a favorite treat ever since. I've eaten at many of the Vietnamese restaurants in Portland and I have my favorites, but honestly, sometimes convenience is all it takes for me to choose one over another. Pho Gia rates highly for a number of reasons. The restaurant is very centrally located on NE Sandy in between Hollywood and downtown, so it's never very far from the areas I frequent. Pho Gia has a pleasant vibe, is clean, and the waitstaff are generally pleasant. The food is always served very quickly, and I've never been disappointed with my meal. In fact, they have some of the best fresh herbs and garnishes I've ever been served in a Vietnamese restaurant before. Their hot chili oil with fermented soybeans is ridiculously good. I'm not sure if they make it in-house, but I always use it generously when I dine here.Parking can be a bit of a pain. There is a small parking lot around the corner that has 15 spots that are shared with other local businesses, and there are several spots in front of the restaurant on the street. There aren't many Vietnamese restaurants with outdoor seating in Portland, so I really appreciate the picnic tables on the sidewalk. It's a nice convenience when I want to take my dog out to dine with me. Pho Gia sits solidly amongst my Top 10 favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Portland. Though I've not sampled many of the other dishes they offer, my friends and family have always provided positive feedback."
"First time at CT Bistro Viet & Thai today but will not be the last. It is probably the busiest Asian/Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Ordered to go and there is a good reason why there was a 30min wait especially on a Friday evening. Busy means good food as my dad always said. Ordered Basil fried rice, Chicken Satay, Garlicky Greens which came with freshest veggies, crunchy green beans. Large portions, very flavorful food. That is a treat in itself. 5-piece chicken Satay pieces are large, probably 3-in wide. I was pleasantly surprised. Garlicky Greens was not too Garlicky. Basil Chicken fried rice was the best with so much chicken and flavor. Each item serves two persons. Totally worth the money and time. Will return tomorrow to try the famous wings."
"Vancouver WA. Been here twice in a week. Pictures say it all. First time whole family. Expect a set gratuity if 6 or more. Pretty standard. The food was amazing. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and was well seasoned. M and I hit it a few days later and tried different dishes. Pretty sure.we are doing that again this week. It's that good."
"WOW one of the best pho in town. Its a must go if you're craving for some pho FOODWe got an assortment of dishes. The typical "#1 large", pork and chicken Banh Mi. The pho is absolutely fantastic. The soup tasted genuine and they gave a huge portion of meat as well. The only downside is the large looked about the same size as the regular one. The BanhMi is absolutely insane. It came out in a crunchy yet soft baguette and the fillings are grilled to perfection with ample amount of meat as well. SERVICEYou know the food is gonna be fantastic when the service is not the best and everyone seems to be in a rush. THIS PLACE IS THAT. Service is nothing to rave about compared to other restaurants but they get it done!!!ALL IN ALL, fantastic pho spot, highly recommend and it's our favorite place in Portland so far"
"To start, I won't go back when it's over 75 outside, their air conditioning isn't very great inside. The wonton soup was very good, very generous with lots of shrimp. The crispy fried chicken is quite a large serving. Nothing about it said Vietnamese however. I had hoped for a marinade or perhaps some characteristic seasonings in the batter. I got fairly generic fried chicken chunks, definitely fresh, hot and crispy. It's a nice serving with rice and a goopy sweet and sour sauce."
"Environment: first time going and it felt spacious with the high ceiling and the tables were spread out decently. The menus were posted everywhere so take your time before you order. I think you order first before having a seat so it's kind of like fast-food style. Staff: very friendly, kind, and nice!! I went out for a bit and came back and she quickly gave me my food, even in the middle of serving someone else. I appreciate that :DFood (take out): I got the vermicelli with spring rolls and grilled pork for $15. First, the price was good as other places with two different types of toppings will be more than that! The pork was tender, flavorful and grilled for sure. The spring rollers were fried nicely and had a lovely crisp to it! The amount was very reasonable and it came with a sauce to pour over. Overall, I enjoyed it and was happy it was good, both for the price and portion!"
"CM Banh Mi brings the charm and is rightfully a neighborhood favorite.Food: lightweight, crisp, and flaky baguette bread! We ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and this has got to be one of the best I've tried in the area. There is a generous amount of vegetables and filling. Ambiance: the interior is beautifully decorated with hand-made wood elements and plants. It really is something unique! Service: I met one of the owners when I went in and they were so kind. I have nothing to say but positives about this place! Location: do note that the parking is narrow, if you have a wider car it is best to park at the nearby food complexes and walk."
"Been a few times now and I am happy to share my accolades - this place is legit. Unfortunately, I am a creature of habit so I have only had a few things off the menu but I determined to have more. Pho Ga - best in Portland. That broth will bring you back from the dead - clean and delicious. Bun Thit Ga Nuong - the char on that chicken is perfect. The dish is light and just blasting with flavor. Deceptive spice in the sauce, beware.Ohhh this is now: Chi Em Mekha Grill. The inside has more chill vibe. The drinks were impressing -looking... next time!!!!"
"This is a great pho restaurant. Interior decor is so beautiful, and the place is very clean. However, there is only street parking. The combo, shrimp, and vegan pho were flavorful and filled with the meats or vegetables. The plate of grilled chicken rolls were the exact number that we needed."
"Still incredibly good... I got a grilled lemongrass chicken rice plate this time and it did not disappoint. Chicken was juicy and flavorful and everything I could've hoped for !Came to conclusion that this joint has the best salad rolls I've had. Rice paper is always fresh, and you can tell that they make their salad rolls once you order them, not pre-made.The chicken pho is savory, the chicken is juicy, and all the veggies are definitely fresh."
"This place is ridiculously cute as a button. Small, sweetly decorated and full of light. But let's get down to business - FOOD! They bring you out some little snacks & sweet and sour sauce to eat while you wait for the main event. The menu has lots of options from bahn mi, noodles and most in between. So far we have tried: - spring rolls, they come out how so looked out! Crispy and delicious- shrimp tempura, very meaty with light batter and a spicy sauce- fresh spring rolls, also very meaty with amazing peanut sauce- pad thai, this doesn't really taste like any other pad thai I have had but in a good way. The sauce is very light and the noodles are thin and chewy. The meat is always cooked just right BUT my absolute favorite is the Luc Lac beef. It is so tender and flavorful I could eat it every day and would if I could. Service is always polite and fast. My only complaint is we didn't find this place sooner."
"Okay very quickly I'll get the negative out of the way. We arrived around 8:15 on Thursday 4/25/24. It was quiet. I needed to use the restroom, and our boys had to wash hands. There was no soap in the men's restroom and the women's wasn't the cleanest...There were A LOT of flies inside. Probably from the many plants, but they should try to do something about that. There are three different menus. The Yelp Menu for ordering, the website and the IN restaurant. That's confusing. Also because one has the coconut dipping sauce and bun as an appetizer as V but the woman who took our order said it was not. We ordered, and I think I ordered most of the vegan items on the menu. I got Turmeric Rice, Seaweed salad, Tofu Banh Mi, Tofu Bun and Tofu Salad Roll. The Turmeric Rice was disappointing but nothing else was. The seaweed salad was some of the best I've ever had. So fresh and crunchy. Lots of flavor. The Tofu Banh Mi was ONLY missing some sauce but MAN the tofu was lovely and the vegetables were DELICIOUS. The Tofu Salad Rolls (they are HUGE...like one is what 2.5-3 normal sized ones are,) were bright and fresh but they're not my thing. Especially since I really HATE peanut sauce. But they too were very fresh. But the star of the show is the Tofu Bun. Holy MOLY. I was not prepared for it. Fluffy buns. Fluffy buns. Fluffy buns. Where have you been all my life?! The stuffing again was SO fresh and flavorful. In loved all the textures and the layering of flavors from subtle to spicy and tangy. My friend ordered the Orange Chicken and the Sweet Chili dumplings and said they were fabulous. The prices are pretty great too. Because for all my food it was $42. (without tip added.) While we were finishing up, the ladies who were working sat down to a vermicelli bowl meal together and that looked drool worthy and fresh too. And it felt like a real family environment there to watch them together with the same food they make customers. This place was friendly, very worth the money and very good. We'll be back!!"
