"Always so delicious. No matter what time of day I stop in, they always have something I can eat and enjoy. I'm enjoying every bite of my favorite treat the Cookie Monster Babycake, that I stopped in and got this afternoon, right now!! mmmm Thanks for always giving this dairy free nut allergy person such great treat options. I also want to add that the people in the cafe work very hard and have always answered any random questions I've had for them :)"
"The coconut pandan cocktail was delicious. Be be sure to save some for your meal as the smoothness offsets any food spiciness.Loved the crispy rice with lettuce leaf appetizer, will order as an entree next time. Pad See Ew is my Thai restaurant goto, but was luke-warm on it here. For one, the sauce (and salt) was too overpowering. For dessert, the mango was underripe, but the pandan rice and sauce were delicious.A pleasant surprise was the "house" blend hot tea, so good. The place is small so it was somewhat cluttered; the area behind the well-stocked bar was messy. Female bartender was very nice. Prices and portions were fair. Parking in this area just sucks."

"Damn this was good pizza. I ordered the gluten free crust and this may have been the first and only time I've been stoked on my gluten intolerance. The crust is a crispy polenta that adds really great texture, isn't as filling as typical crust, and is freaking delicious!"
"I was happy to give Dot's a go since friends go here often and have recommended it for eons. I go to a lot of things alone but it felt awkward to go here by myself to grab a bite. After a movie at the Clinton Street Theater, me and my vegan friend wanted some food. I don't normally identify my friends on their dietary requirements. It is always great to be mindful though since I try not to be that jerk who assumes places have options because a lot of spots have like one thing they can make into a vegan thing so if there are a few places, why not chose the one with more options for us all. She was actually pretty excited because she had seen several options online but there were far more options she saw on the menu. Really a lot of the menu offers options. We took turns ordering at the bar and they were super friendly. My food came out fast - I just grabbed a chicken strip basket and an RC. It was good and I was not expecting a huge amount. I had to take most of it to go which reheated great later. My friend got the vegan kitchen sink fries which come with numu vegan cheese shreds, vegan bacon bits, pico de gallo, salsa, jalapeño peppers, spicy tofu sauce and she added black beans, guacamole and ranch. She also wanted lunch for the next day so she ordered a vegan Korean BBQ soy curl sandwich which is sesame ginger spiced soy curls, carrots, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, gochujang red chili paste, vegan mayo on a hoagie roll and a side of spicy tofu sauce. Her food took forever. First the bar tender came over and said that the cook had accidentally made the fries non vegan. Then a lot longer time later the chef came over said that he had run out of vegan cheese and then left again. We were like, wait.... so that was SO long ago - does that mean he had to go get more cheese as we still were not told when her food would arrive. When he brought it out she said it was missing the Guac she had paid for a side of. He almost started arguing with her saying that the order he got mentioned nothing about that and she offered to dig out her receipt so he went and got that. I felt so terrible for her because in the end everything was way over salted so she really did not enjoy it but it took so ridiculously long for it that we were exhausted and done. The vibe here is really good to with insanely weird art and dark lighting. So, in a pinch they've got a menu that can maybe help you out."
"Really solid, good value, no frills Mexican food with tons of vegan options. We used to come here all the time when visiting Apex next door. They have a full, separate vegan menu with tons to choose from. We ordered the vegan soyrizo enchiladas($12) to share one afternoon, which was ready in about 10-15 mins. You get a generous portion of enchiladas, with nicely spiced soyrizo, with sides of vegan sour cream, rice, refried beans, and a lame iceberg salad with a tomato on top. Tasty, filling and good value. Still a good spot for the kind of food it is."
"Ended up at this bar when the one near our conference hotel closed too early plus my colleagues wanted to play pinball so drinks and pinball only for our group. The bartender was great! Attentive with just the right amount of attitude and even made sure our rideshare arrived to bring us back to our hotel since we were the last folks out. I even got to explain the shot and a beer concept (that was on special) to a couple of Brits so that was fun. Would definitely hang out again for ambiance and the Godzilla pinball machine."
"Simple healthy meal created quickly by nice people! What more do you need? Not sure what the sauce is (I could look it up I suppose) but it's delicious."
"I came for the vegan brunch on a Sunday at around 9:45am. When I sat at the bar to order, the bartender asked me if I wanted mine vegan. I made the mistake of assuming everything on the brunch menu was vegan, but I guess it can be made vegan or not vegan. Good thing he asked me!David ordered the Humboldt Burrito and I ordered the Victoria Breakfast. Mine came with tofu scramble, vegan sausage, biscuits and gravy, and country potatoes. The biscuit and the gravy were both SO GOOD. The housemade sausage tasted like meat to me, so I didn't like it at all. (I've been vegan for 25 years so things that are too meaty are not for me.) Next time, I'll order the biscuit and gravy and the tofu scramble from the sides menu and skip the sausage and potatoes.I like how much outdoor seating they have because I was able to find a spot in the corner where my reactive doggo could sit without her anxiety being triggered (see my pics). The bathrooms were very clean, and the bartender was super nice. Finding street parking was easy. This place is great. Too bad they aren't 100% vegan, but I would for sure go back."
"I've been to Mirisata a few times. Usually with a group of people, and I wasn't sure what to order, and the food didn't really wow me.Fast forward to today. Curry and rice had been my comfort food in the past. Lately, I've been in the mood for salads. Mirisata did not have a salad. But, the woman at the counter was very helpful with helping me pick something out. I got the Black "pork" curry with a side of rice. It was so good! Really good flavor with a slight kick. Generous portion, I took half home. I got the mango iced tea, which was good to bring the heat down a little. I liked the water cooler next to the counter. The weather was really nice, and many people sat in the outdoor dining area. I opted to sit indoors. It was really clean, and the chairs were padded, which I appreciated."
"This is a neighborhood spot for me, and I've been coming here since the place opened way back in the olden days. It's been consistently great. It's probably my favorite Thai place in Portland, despite the fact that it's in walking distance to me. Like many Thai restaurants its in an old house, with cozy seating, but it also has an outside deck area which is great in summer. They once has a bar at street level as well, and consequently had quite a cocktail menu. Of course under COVID conditions the place is all about the take out and the delivery. You can order beer, but I cocktails? Not so much. My personal favorite dish here is the Pad Kee Mao, which I get really hot. Their traditional Thai curries (Green, Red, Masaman) are all delicious as well. Their fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce also never fail to please."
"I thoroughly enjoyed dining at this all vegan spot. They call themselves Japanese comfort food and I can agree. Especially on a chill, rainy day this warm food was all kinds of comforting. To start we ordered the Curried korokke which were crispy and bursting with flavors. I hadn't had anything like this before and I enjoyed the taste. I tasted some of the kenchinjiru which is like a vegetable stew. Again bursting with flavors and very comforting. For my entree I ordered the Tempura udon and it did not disappoint. They make their noodles in house and that was just a selling point. Again a very comforting dish when it's rainy. Service was good and very attentive. This place is very inclusive and had a nice, comforts vibe. When I ever visit PDX again I will return."

The drunken noodles and curry puffs were seasoned to perfection, though slightly on the salty side. The Thai iced tea had a perfect balance with its subtle sweetness and just the right amount of coconut cream. The curry puffs were flaky and light. Great pickled cucumbers on the side. Excellent service and loved how cute the restaurant is!

I've decided that this is my favorite pizza place in the Portland area. I love the Caesar salad. The sausage is my absolute fav. The Detroit Style is very good! Also the mushroom. Many I have not even tried yet. Great cocktails & beer choices. Beth is an outgoing and excellent server - you will love her. I recently took out of town guests to Apizza Scholls which is very highly rated. The man at the door was absolutely one of the rudest people that I've ever met and we were all put off by him. You won't run into that here.

Walking into Dots Cafe feels like tumbling down a dark cave a beloved haven with the requisite retro décor. It's where people gather in oversized booths, knocking back strong, no-frills drinks, cheap beer, -debating tunes. Once your eyes adjust to the gloom, delve into the diverse menu and you might just find a pleasant surprise. It's all about good grub in hefty portions at wallet-friendly prices. DJs spin the decks most nights, keeping the vibe alive. I have been hearing about this place since summer 2000 and - I gotta say, it lived up to the legendary status.

Back again with another review for Hungry Tiger. The vegan wings, smothered with bbq sauce, were delicious, and perfect for dipping in ranch. A crunchy texture! And of course, you have to try the famous corn dog.

I can here in some of the most dreadful weather so I couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating. However, I could tell that with good weather it would have been a great place to have a quick bite to eat or to enjoy with friends. Despite the weather, the worker was super friendly and we were able yo chat a bit while he was making my bowl due to lack of other customers. For the food it is definitely a comfort food, in terms of all the flavors are very familiar and filling. Despite the simplicity I highly enjoyed it as the weather had me craving a more cozy dish. In all honesty I think it is similar cafe yumm in the general composition of the bowl. However, for the price I thinks its definitely worthwhile.

"Pretty great! Old school diner vibes. Good food/service. Love the variety of options!!! They have a pretty large menu for a vegan place. They do offer gluten free items/substitutions. They do a lot of take out orders, so don't go here if you're in a rush. Plenty of parking. Recommend!"
"Okay let me first say I haven't YET been to Dirty Lettuce because I don't eat fried food. It makes me feel awful so I just don't eat it. Well it was my husband's birthday and it was his choice so I went in ALL the way. While we all got situated and checked out the menu, my kids and I perused the shopping. There is swag for the restaurant, then ALL sorts of cut vegan things like stickers and paintings and necklaces. Then hot sauces, nut mixes, niche chocolate. Then you've got Dirty Lettuce's chicken that's frozen to take home and cook. You've got Doe Donuts frozen ice cream sandwiches to take home! Ice Queen PDX frozen treats to choose from. And my favorite vegan cheeses, Cultured Kindness wheels to buy!So...the food!!! We got LOTS of chicken!! The batter and crunch is unmatched for what I've had that's vegan. Really good flavor and it's made with seitan. The fried pickles were EPIC. They were totally perfect. Their ranch was also EPIC. It's thicker than what I've had before and super dilly. I loved it and I really don't like ranch at all so that's a huge compliment. My son was SO tired between us having time change from EST to PST and not really having any food but breakfast by 6pm EST/3 pm when we were eating. So he didn't want any food. BUT I used our air fryer to reheat the chicken for him, and his fries and he ate ALL of it and said it was amazing. My daughter loved her original Chicken sandwich and my carnivore mom said EVERYTHING was really good. My son even asked for the rest of the leftovers today for lunch. My husband has loved DL since it opened. Before it got "Best Soul Food 2022" from the Veg News awards!!! And yes. Well deserved. The staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. The owner (?) Who took our orders and chatted with my daughter and I was REALLY cool. Especially after having been to an all vegan spot earlier in the week who treated my kids like pariahs, he was talking to her. He asked if she liked to cook and they had a talk about favorite foods and things to cook. Then he told her that she should try making taco meat with TVP! We hadn't done that so I said I'll have to do that too. And I shared how I recently had my mind blown by an Instagram vegan who simply used a grater and shredded tofu for tacos. I said now I have TWO new things we have to try. But to ME, as a mom, the thing that he said that got me was "do you like to cook?" And she said "yes, I love cooking." Then he said "I knew it. I recognize other chefs." Okay y'all won me over completely. If you want pretentious food or need a fancy atmosphere, maybe it's not for you. But if you want a DOWN SOUTH true SOUL food, in a cozy atmosphere that feels like you're with friends, then DL is you place!!!"
"Good place! We had a pretty good spread of food, and the drink options were fun (got to try a beer I'd never had, which is nice). Not the BEST Indian food I've ever had, but really solid. They're still really hard core with the covid protocols, but I wouldn't say that detracted from the experience much, just a little more DIY in terms of silverware and table amenities. Beyond that, the service was very pleasant. There weren't many other people in the place, so it was a nice place to grab a relaxing bite. All in all solid. I'd go back."
"This all-vegan restaurant started as a food cart in downtown Portland back in 2009. Now they have their own brick and mortar, and they make their own seitan in house! Yes, please!I ordered the reuben, and it was the biggest, most delicious sandwich you could ever ask for. It was seriously enough for 2 meals if you're not a huge eater! The staff was super friendly. There was no line. There's picnic tables out front where you can eat, but it's mostly a takeout spot. I recommend doing what I did and taking your food a couple blocks down to the park and sit under the shade of a giant tree."
"Absolutely incredible all-vegan Thai fusion. My highest recommendation.Having seen the high rating, I know we had to check this place out. We got one of the last tables on a Tuesday evening at 6pm. Ordering is done by app. We got the Papaya Salad ($12) to start, and See Ew ($18) and Masala Linguine ($18) to share. The food came out very quickly and in generous portions:-The Papaya Salad was the most traditional of the dishes, balanced well between sweet, spicy and salty -- really nice stuff. -The See Ew was not a typical pad see ew, coming with fried tofu, absolutely divine candied tempeh, and bok choy, along with the usual flat wide rice noodles - phenomenal. -The Masala Linguine was also incredible, coming with all sorts of mixed wild mushrooms, onions, and linguine pasta, spiced beautifully by a masala curry paste. Also phenomenal.I can't say enough good things about the food. One of the best finds in PDX in recent years."
"As someone who loves meat, I am very critical of vegan food bc yes I try to eat less meat sometimes but it's hard bc it also has to taste good yanno, I cant live a life with no flavor. This place hits the mark - they have either the best or 2nd best vegan tacos I've tried in pdx so far. Very creative options compared the the veggie option at most taco trucks which is just sautéed veggies. I've tried about 5 or 6 of the tacos and enjoyed them all. My favorites are the Tinga Taco, Rajas con crema & Taco Campana which is their take on a classic Taco Bell taco. If I had to choose a least favorite it would probably be their mole verde, it was just a bit mushy in texture. It's too bad vegan tacos are almost always more expensive than meat tacos or I would definitely eat them more."
"I came here while I was visiting family in Oregon. My cousin brought me here because she loves it. She said I'd love it too. And I did. Only downside is they didn't have their in house chips. But it's ok. I had the pork Banh mi. It almost looks like vegan meat lol it taste great. Not an authentic Banh mi. But still good. The bread was more of a ciabatta type. The pickled veggies made it a Banh mi. Service was good. Speedy and accurate for a party of 8. So shout out to the crew. That's it. Nothing much else to add. Keep up the good work"
"I was a bit hesitant to go here because I was worried that it might have been a not-very-authentic place (as someone who is Vietnamese, I really take pride in Viet food), but I was pleasantly surprised! As soon as you come into the establishment, there's a big menu and a counter for you to order at. Once you order, you are then seated, and food is brought out to you. The inside of the restaurant is pretty cute, with nice wall decor and cool ceiling decor. I really liked the ambiance. I also loved the menu and the concepts of building your own bowl or plate. I've never seen a Vietnamese spot do this (except sometimes with meat in pho bowls), so I thought that it was very innovative and nice to allow customers to choose their own proteins, noodles, and broth. I also loved how they had skewers too. The food itself was pretty good, and it came out fairly quickly. Overall, a pretty good Vietnamese spot on Hawthorne and I would come back again!"
"Seems that lately Burmese food has been on my mind!! My husband and I had a date to go see a movie and he decided we should try the Portland location of Top Burmese, with a slightly different menu than our Downtown Beaverton spot, and a lot of similar dishes. I wasn't crazy about the decor, it made it feel smaller and darker inside but the food delivers just like the other location. We tried the "yellow tofu tots" as an appetizer and WOW. I seriously feel sad that Beaverton doesn't have these on the menu. They were SO good. Lightly fried, very airy and light in both texture and flavor. Very good. I had the Garlic Noodles and yes. Delicious. Bit also, BEWARE if you are just OKAY about garlic. I eat cloves raw. I LOVE garlic. If it says 4 cloves, I'll likely use 12. If it says 1 I'll use 5. This is HEAVY in garlic. Good for your immune system!!My husband got the Kyay Oh noodles. And he loved that dish too.I got a Dragon fruit Whiskey Sour and it was tremendous. Absolutely perfect in flavor and JUST right for sipping. What has lacked across the board for me at Top Burmese both here and Beaverton has been service. It's like the focus is SO on the robot that the humans don't try to interact with you as much. Yes you CAN scan the QR on your table and order more but it feels colder than someone just checking on me. Part of what made this particular Portland brand so special was the "home" feeling that you're welcomed into someone's home to enjoy home cooking. It's evaporated since COVID."
"Just tried out tonight and we are so happy. A fun place with really good fajitas along with other good stuff. Walk up and order, get your number and some indoor seating and a lot of protected patio seating. So first very helpful owner Leticia helped me figure out the best margarita and offered me the happy hour prices with 2 minutes to spare. We ordered the chips but I wanted the Guava margarita and it wasn't on the happy hour. It didn't matter I loved the margarita, could taste the alcohol but it was smooth and the guava flavor was excellent. As I mentioned I got the fajitas and they were very flavorful with just a hint of heat which was perfect for me. Comes with four corn tortillas which held together well and were good quality. I did order a side of white cheese and it was more than I needed so I may ask for less next time as $2.50 was a bit more than I was expecting but $18 for fajitas is reasonable and I was stuffed!Husband got a burrito on a whole wheat tortilla and held the rice so nice they have those options. He loved it and also said very flavorful. It was the one with green sauce and cheese but would have liked a bit more guacamole and sour cream as guac was so good. Also hard to find burritos in Portland. Leticia also came over to check on us and introduce herself and she is from Mexico City. Super friendly and helpful. Please check this place out you won't be disappointed."
"OK, I have a lot to say... I was really excited to try them and I have to say that was some of the best customer service I have ever received. My friend and I were new to their menu and she is one of those FOMO people ho has to try everything the seasonal menu has to offer. So we needed their help a lot for completely different reasons. They are right on Burnside which is fine unless it isn't ...IYKYK. But it was easy to pop in and get seating, though ... friends who are also mobility challenged... be aware that most of their seating is barstool type. Mini rant here at new businesses that are doing this trend to make more space by cramming these in. So there were two tables with flat seating and those were the only tables taken up by others because no one likes to sit on a barstool as they are very uncomfortable for everyone and they are very very painful for those of us who are disabled. Thankfully I can sort of position myself to not be so bad but my friend was nearly crying after we ate. And, please don't suggest us folks with crippling anxiety ask people to leave their table for us. I ordered badly, sort of... I am not a vegan but I have grown up with close friends who are. I am not good with some of the textures like vegan cheese or tofu. Looking at their menu I saw that they make their own quinoa and mushroom burgers which sounded delicious! And it was! I got the artisan signature burger which comes on a sprouted grain bun with garlic thyme mayo, avocado, tomato and lettuce. I had them add grilled onions. I was not expected the mayo to be so thyme forward and I was not mad at that but all I could really taste was the sprouted bun which was a whole lot of WHOA. So, I would really want the regular bun since I am also not big on a pretzel bun. Next, no cheese... Also, I wanted to try the sweet potato fries and the tater tots. Loved the tots and the sweet potato fries were good but VERY sweet. BUT, let me tell you - my friend got the fries with chili bowl... HOLY F... Honestly, I would order the crap out of that any day of the week! Again, I ordered badly for me. Now I will write a sonnet about their soda. Everyone focuses on the shakes. My friend got some crazeballs Halloween inspired thing with gummy worms and pumpkin spice?? Like whiskey tango foxtrot...you do you... I can't, I just... BUT, I am a simple person... and I HATE wanna be colas. Like, seriously just give me a Coke or a Pepsi (I am GLARING at you RC). I was looking at the wall of I don't want to drink 'flavored' fizz water and was like, "Fine, give me a COLA which I will likely loathe." I was shocked as I took a hateful sip and said it was actually FREAKING DELICIOUS! Colorado Cola... you are tasty!I am excited to go back and try out more things. And they have so many different options for everyone!"
"Ordered the chorizo arepa and oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious and full of flavor packed into a fluffy arepa pocket. No pics cause I wasted no time eating it up. Also such a good location, love the Bite on Belmont carts!"
"Glad this place is back, restaurant seating area is quiet and clean. New owners/management are enthusiastic. Food less oily than before some dishes slightly different. I enjoyed the stir fry veggies and soup."
"We found this food cart by accident! We drove here for one reason, (name of food cart here), because we read somewhere they made it one of the best in 2022, in PDX food carts! But, later on that, when we come back. . . . Instead, the photos Underbite PDX had was appealing, so we ordered promptly!Hubby and I both ordered the same thing: BLTsh with clam chowder, except I had half & half. The sandwich was very unusually and very wrapped in an unusual way. The napkins were small & thin. The food was delicious, plenty of bacon! The soup was also really good! Tomato & Orange soup. The proprietor was also friendly! Will come back again (if close-by) for take out during one of my outdoor or indoor events!"
