"Their tacos are worth the wait. I usually get the GOAT taco when available and it is truly an amazing combo in a taco: pulled pork and brisket with flour and corn tortilla. Genius. Their migas taco is truly so good and you will automatically regret not ordering two of them after the first bite. Love bringing friends in town to show off this place."
"A once thriving community collection of food trucks, so popular with the hospital & NE neighborhood, all tragically lost in a fire last year. As if the pandemic was not the hardest life challenge.Pepe Chile's is first to hopefully revive the food stand service corner amongst the burnt ruins that still remain surrounding the truck. We appreciate they survived and able to have a second go at it. 12 hour days everday ~ breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Monster portions. Actually have to ask Julio to not add as much inner ingredients as the jumbo burrito became to difficult to hold and chomp. Salsa is spicy to super spicy. Friendly neighborly service ~ always smiley & welcoming, happy to tweak to your liking, always thank yous.Outdoor picnic tables for the sunny days!"

"Pretty solid tacos! Located at 'the garage' pod for now but moving soon!Super friendly staff. They recommended the tacos - 2 bucks for street tacos w the usual selection, 5 bucks for fish or shrimp which are a little bigger. Got the 10 dollar taco plate - 3 tacos and rice and beans. Plus a shrimp and fish. Wanted to get to 20 bucks so I could charge it. Food was great. Carnitas and bbq pork were on point. Shrimp was awesome. Fish meh Would come again"
"This little spot is off the hook! Super friendly staff, beyond amazing food. I tried the pork 'Dilla and the Baja fish taco. The dilla is more of an empanada experience but FULL of fantastic fresh local ingredients. The fish taco hit ALL of the classic crunchy cabbage, sweet fruity pico, and creamy aspects that I love about fish tacos. My partner had the chicken salad Fresca. They took the time to crisp up the shedded chicken... next level stuff that shows they care and take pride in providing excellent food at a very reasonable price! In a town where there's Mexican restaurants on every other street, Taco Peddler has done an amazing job of taking the path less traveled! Well worth my 30 min drive from deep SW. please give them a try, tell me I'm wrong about how great this place is!"
"Great Ramen places in town, dont miss this one. We ordered- Tan Tan Ramen, Chilli Oil Tofu noodles, Spicy Mala Taco, Tan Tan Taco- both with tofu, Kale Potstickers and Edamame- all of them were tasty and yum. Wish we were told the noodles were cold, however they tasted nice. Definitely will come back to this one, go for it if you want a good nice hot Ramen, don't miss it. 1. lot of vegan options2. Service was good, no complaints3. Heated Outdoor seating available"
"Yep, I'm big into this place.A boy I know moved just down the street, and this become his go-to neighborhood watering hole. I'm happy that he's introduced me.Lots of tequila! They have a good margarita list, though I typically stick with their most typical one, the Waypostarita. It's made with an orange-peppercorn tequila and some sort of orange liqueur. Pretty dang tasty. The other varieties aren't really my cup of tea, but it's good to offer options, right? Oh, and on Mondays margaritas are $6 instead of $9! Taco Tuesday is in full effect, and both the tinga chicken and the carnitas are delicious. I'm not into tempeh, but if you like it, I bet theirs is good. $2.50 on Tuesdays, which is a buck off. There's typically some kind of programming and hanging out at the bar can get kind of loud. But open mic night on Mondays has been entertaining! The bartenders are all really friendly. Good staff here, for sure. The outside area is cute, with a funny little walking path. I'll have to spend more time here in the summer to properly understand it, but I like it! I like The Waypost, I'll most certainly return."
"Well...the garbanzos were lifechanging so definitely rating this a 5/5 on that alone. I randomly happened to be near Tito's Taquitos and decided that this was going to be the day to try them. I couldn't decide between mushroom and garbanzo so I split the difference and got a garbanzo taco so I could try both. The taco was literally incredible and I have been dreaming about it ever since I first tried. Definitely getting them on the taquitos next time. That being said, the mushrooms/taquitos were still incredibly good and all the salsas I had on the side were great, including the habanero which was memorable but also thankfully palatable. The taquito portion is NO joke; I definitely couldn't finish it on my own and ended up sharing with my husband. You can skip a wait if you order online which was super easy to do~ Service was very sweet and my food was ready just on time per my order! The interior here is cute and actually looks like it can hold more people than you'd think from the outside. Parking is easy since it's a big shared lot. Absolutely swing by and try these taquitos, you won't regret it!"

"My shoe repair man recommended this place. Small mall space (similar to Seoul Kitchen in this same mall--and highly recommend) brightened with some wall paintings. Very very friendly and informative guy working here. Melba liked her pastor taco a lot, I had the queso birria tacos--hot, messy, greasy, oozey--wonderful. Prices maybe a little up. They make their own tacos. Want to go back for a machete (the edible kind.)"

I had wondered about this place for a while and was excited to try it. I got the migas and smoked turkey tacos (both sans cheese). The migas taco was really sumptuous and had solid flavors. The smoked turkey although good just threw my tastebuds off since it gave me lots of Big Mac vibes with the burger toppings and mustard/mayo sauce. I would say both needed salsas which I think is actually a good thing since they were seasoned appropriately for salsafying. They were kind of pricey but also quite large. I felt the breakfast tacos would probably be a better deal in the future.

Decent taco spot, but not my fave. The meat isn't as tasty as other places to me, particularly the pastor. Normal street tacos are $3 which is standard/on the lower side even. I've tried a Pepe Chile taco for $1 more w/ a handmade tortilla but didn't notice any better taste really. My favorite thing about the place tho is how you can customize each taco from a choice of about 10ish toppings like pickled onions, queso fresco, pineapples, guac and what have you. Again, not bad tacos just so much competition around. They do a lot of tasty sounding breakfasty items as well if that's your thing. Also, they have beer!

A late night taco spot with a salsa bar, I couldn't ask for anything more. The store is small but full of energy and music, even late at night. You order at the front from a focused menu of tacos, quesadilla, and burrito. The guy quickly whip up your order then you find a seat inside or outside. It's simple, quick, and darn tasty. We got a Lengua Burrito and a couple of tacos. The Lengua was some of the most tender ones I've had! And they give you so much of it both in the burrito and tacos. The Burrito was MASSIVE. Filled with rice, beans, sour cream, and gooey mozzerella cheese. They also toast their tortilla; I'm a BIG fan. Again, the meat was the star. They definitely know what they're doing.Their salsa bar was also full of tasty salsas and fresh accompaniments for your order. The guys were super friendly as well. We'll definitely be back!!

We just chanced upon this truck while we were in the area. And it was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of parking in that square. There's a nice covered area where you can order and it had a nice detailed menu there. The guy taking our order answered our questions really nicely. There is some secluded seating nearby too. The tacos were delicious, even the veggie ones. Will definitely come here more often!

I stopped in yesterday around noon for a quick lunch. ordered a couple of spicy chorizo street tacos and Jarritos soda. The restaurant wasn't too busy, I was served relatively quickly. Ambience in the restaurant is fine for what it is, a very small storefront and the service person was very pleasant.Had to knock down a couple of stars because the chorizo, while flavorful, was very hard. like old chorizo. Other than that, the Mexican cheese and the tortillas were very nice. I think I'm going to try and come back here one more time and see if maybe it was just a fluke but this one particular dining experience was only so so.

I like this place cause you can try some flavors you typically can't find at a lot of other ramen joints. When I think ramen I usually think tonkatsu as it seems to be the most well-known & popular in the states but Kayo doesn't have it. Instead of the rich creamy pork broths you might be expecting, they use lighter, cleaner tasting chicken bone broths (vegan broth available as well). Also, their noodles are excellent and have that slight springy bounce.I've tried the Tan Tan and Mala Ramen. The Tan Tan had a peanuty flavor which was interesting but not savory enough for me. The Mala I liked a lot, it had a bit of Szechuan peppercorn spice to it. Toppings are simple & minimal: just a bit of green onion and fresh spinach. The tacos were pretty standard, essentially chashu scraps w/ a bit of spicy mayo but at $4 for street taco size not worth it. The ramen prices were standard and service is fast. Clean cafe setting w/ good amount of covered outdoor tables too w/ heaters for winter.

Remember the fun, fun days of basement shows? You can have that here, and a patio, and brunch, and competent bartenders. What's not to like?~!Part of the Waypost is literally a basement to an old wood apartment building. It could be dangerous to live in those apartments with a bar and a basement show every night! They do close the side patio early for noise with that reason, but the front tables on Williams are open nights for the duration. The evening food is simple. They do a good job on drink specials. The brunch is the food star. The Waypost has a good network of musicians for their basement shows and it is a gathering point for community groups in the dill pickle club and zine worlds. It's a fine unpretentious neighborhood bar for the close-in bike crowd.

Tito's Taquitos moved into the old Tilt burger spot on Swan Island as a spacious prep kitchen. Now they have opened it for mid-day lunch. The menu is the same as their food cart in SW.I finally decided to try their taquitos and it is a large meal. When they are open, they put out a sandwich board, but otherwise the signage is a bit hard to see from the road. They have outdoor picnic tables, bar counter seating by the windows, and tables inside. Counter order and pickup. The staff was very happy to be in the larger space and kept checking if everything was good.

"I'm fond of their carts, but this restaurant is much preferred. Friendly service. The Breakfast Crunch Wrap topped with gooey cheese was yummy and filling."
"4.5 Jamaican pork 4 Pork3.2 Steak3.1 ChickenReally loved trying these street tacos out! Favorite was definitely the Jamaican pork, as it was sweet and spicy (with the salsa!) and pork by itself was a little spicy. So good- definitely recommend-"
"Tacos were authentic and tasty, my favorite was the carne asada. No frills food truck. We went right when they opened and service was quick and easy. My wife got the breakfast burrito and it's a lot of food!Nice picnic tables outside, we got some sun so that helped a lot!"
"Atmosphere: Food truck with some tables outdoors to sit atFood: Tacos and Birria were tastyPrice: Not outrageous but not cheap eitherService: StandardParking: Not sure. We walked over"
"I was really excited to try this place out as they offered Vegan cheez. I ordered nachos with beef and guac. Let's start out with the base, the corn tortilla chips were too thin and could not support the toppings. Yes, they used vegan cheez, but there was barely anything on my nachos, didn't even cover 1/3 of the order. They used ground beef vs. carne asada (steak), it was okay. The guac was good. The person who took my order was extremely helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Street parking was easy to find."
"You know normally I am a creature of habit, but I often like to use deals and promotions to scratch my legs a little and try and find something new. I normally wouldn't wander into. I'm more of a taco stand verse Mexican restaurant person growing up where I grew up in Southern California. It's just what I was used to was quick and cheap food rather than the big warm plate Mexican restaurant style. Here was very much so stereotypical Mexican restaurant, huge portions, tons of cheese and a massively huge menu.We probably should've just gotten one item and split it, but we ended up bringing home an incredible amount of food even though I ate till I was stuffed. The super nachos were very good. We went with the Pastor store of course the best meat. Chips when they bring them to the table come out warm so we knew the nachos were gonna be good. We split the three item combo anytime I can try a Chile Relleno I do. Sometimes you regret it cause it's a little bit greasy and a little bit off, but this one was absolutely "perfectly with just the most insane amount of cheese in there as you can see by this 4 foot cheese pull in the photo. Of course I'm a huge green sauce fan so we went with an enchilada to go along with that with the chili Verde and have the chili Verde sauce poured all over everything. Our last item was a tostada because why not have all of your carbs deep-fried as well. I mean, if there was an option to deep fry the enchilada, we probably would've done as well.Service here was absolutely amazing. It's a really good spot and it rivals La Carreta which says a lot! In both portion and quality. Honestly, unless you want a ton of leftovers and a crazy amount of stuff, a three item combo will easily feed to normal people."
"TV's...TV's everywhere! You aren't going to miss any games, even if you sit outside. The waitstaff was super nice and had some good drink recommendations. I had the Satellite burger with rosemary garlic fries and man were they good. The burger was juicy and actually had some flavor."
"Trying new Mexican food spots has become a hobby, this one was recommended by coworkers. The owner was way cool, he brought the food to my car in the rain. The breakfast burrito was solid. Strangely, it comes with your wide choice of meat; usually it's only bacon or ham. Kudos to them for not skimping on the pork, but I'd opt for a little less so it doesn't dominate the taste. They offer a mild and hot sauce salsa.A very good deal especially given the portion. Seems like they allow parking in the designated spaces. There's even bench seating for when the weather is good."
"The food here is cheap and delicious. I am from San Diego and this place remind me of the food that I use to get there. Just like all Mexican food. It doesn't sit well with my tummy. We order take out and the service was fast. It's a food cart but this place put a lot of sit down place to shame. Give it a try if your in the area."
"As someone who loves meat, I am very critical of vegan food bc yes I try to eat less meat sometimes but it's hard bc it also has to taste good yanno, I cant live a life with no flavor. This place hits the mark - they have either the best or 2nd best vegan tacos I've tried in pdx so far. Very creative options compared the the veggie option at most taco trucks which is just sautéed veggies. I've tried about 5 or 6 of the tacos and enjoyed them all. My favorites are the Tinga Taco, Rajas con crema & Taco Campana which is their take on a classic Taco Bell taco. If I had to choose a least favorite it would probably be their mole verde, it was just a bit mushy in texture. It's too bad vegan tacos are almost always more expensive than meat tacos or I would definitely eat them more."
"Their street tacos are only a buck-fitty! Are there any Portland joints that still offer such a deal? Simply composed of seasoned meat/tofu, onions and cilantro, don't expect a fancy meal/presentation, but they're tasty and filling.Pre-COVID days they had free self-serve toppings including 4 different salsas and pickled carrots, jalapeños and onions; now the salsas are in small to-go cups when requested and the pickled veggies are gone. Hopefully they will bring them back when it's safe!"
"Atmosphere: Kinda small walk-up counter where you order. Few tables and some outdoor seating.Food: Food is quite good for Portland Mexican food. I've only had when drunk, but would eat here sober too.Price: Prices are reasonable for these daysService: Great serviceParking: Gotta find parking nearby"
"I wish I read the reviews before visiting as I enjoyed the Hot Oli sandwich, but wasn't wowed by it. It looks like the raving reviews are mainly for the Xicano Cheesesteak (carne asada.)The gal taking orders (owner's daughter?) was very friendly.I look forward to returning."
"One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The tortilla was fresh, slightly crispy and just perfect. Inside was eggs, refried black beans, sour cream, guac and salsa verde chilaquiles! It was so good and satisfying, I can't explain it. My brother loved his tacos. Service was good and prices were beyond reasonable."
"Great tacos, I like the pastor a lot. It's not the juiciest I've had but it's never too fatty or gristly and we'll seasoned. They've been making a lot of upgrades, improving their truck and seating area for customers which means their prices have had to go up (3.50 per taco, which seems almost standard now at many places). They do Taco Tuesday tho where you can still get them for 2.50! They've also expanded their menu a lot with things like tortas, quesadillas, and Sinaloan tacos (w/ melted cheese and pepper). Great vegetarian options too, you can mix n match to create your own veggie tacos from their list of ingredients. They've got a bunch of tasty house sauces and the ladies are always nice."
"What stands out is the cleanliness of the cart, attractive marketing, and fair prices. The breakfast burrito was decent, but it included boiled cubed potatoes (I swapped for the beans which shouldn't be included in the first place.) Hashbrowns, tots, or even mashed make for a much better breakfast burrito. The habanero hot sauce was hotter than I expected. The counter person was very nice and order execution was very quick."
"My first trip here and I was very impressed and can't wait to return to try more items. I tried the Al Pastor tacos and it was instantly my favorite menu choice, the spices were nice and pork had a nice char and sweetness. It was at times a little fatty but that's to be expected. I also tried the Chile Verde, this was good, second to a place on NE 42nd I go to often for this dish specifically.I also had Ceviche, which was simple, fresh and very satisfying. All & All, I am a fan and will be back to try the breakfast burritos and other items for sure. The only side eye, if you will, was the salsas .. I believe they are not home made but brand named (red sauce tasted like valentina brand) which I happened to like, so no biggy ."
"Just tried out tonight and we are so happy. A fun place with really good fajitas along with other good stuff. Walk up and order, get your number and some indoor seating and a lot of protected patio seating. So first very helpful owner Leticia helped me figure out the best margarita and offered me the happy hour prices with 2 minutes to spare. We ordered the chips but I wanted the Guava margarita and it wasn't on the happy hour. It didn't matter I loved the margarita, could taste the alcohol but it was smooth and the guava flavor was excellent. As I mentioned I got the fajitas and they were very flavorful with just a hint of heat which was perfect for me. Comes with four corn tortillas which held together well and were good quality. I did order a side of white cheese and it was more than I needed so I may ask for less next time as $2.50 was a bit more than I was expecting but $18 for fajitas is reasonable and I was stuffed!Husband got a burrito on a whole wheat tortilla and held the rice so nice they have those options. He loved it and also said very flavorful. It was the one with green sauce and cheese but would have liked a bit more guacamole and sour cream as guac was so good. Also hard to find burritos in Portland. Leticia also came over to check on us and introduce herself and she is from Mexico City. Super friendly and helpful. Please check this place out you won't be disappointed."
