Frank J. "This is the place for you if you like comfort food. Definitely not the healthiest as the burger and fries were extremely greasy. But a very tasty, thick burger and not one of those frozen hockey pucks. Fries were ok and there was a mountain of them. But again, very greasy and since I've been eating a lot healthier the past decades or so, there was a major rebellion going on in my gut a few hours later. No complaints. It is what it is and they are clear that they serve comfort food. And comforting it was. Went there specifically for the clam chowder which they only serve on Fridays. It was meh. I'm from Boston so I know what really good clam chowder is supposed to taste like and this clearly wasn't it. Watery. Barely a clam fragment to be found. Really difficult to find good clam chowder here on teh left coast even at the coast. The best I've had so far was a yuppie scum la-dee-dah place up in Port Townsend that I hit for a b'day dinner a while back. If I'm back this way again I'll try the chili instead. They apparently sell a lot of pizza but to me, this is a beer and a burger joint. My companions had fried fish and fried shrimp. I guess it was ok. Heard no complaints (or praise). It was the first visit for the three of us.We hung around for three hours chatting over beers. No one tried to shoo us off wanting the table which is always appreciated. Are you listening Red Robin? The saloon is large with massive tables and booths. But it filled up fast for lunch and the breakfast crowd was just clearing out when I got there. There's not much out this way. A couple of small burbs and that's about it. I was surprised to see it so crowded.I gave this place five stars because it is true to what it claims to be. If they were boasting they served healthy food the review would have been different. But this is just a nice, friendly townie saloon that serves mounds of tasty food at decent prices. Wait staff was what you'd expect. Cheerful, friendly, efficient. Just off the main highway (244) and easy enough to find but can't be seen from the main drag. Huge paved parking lot.Waitress was doing triple duty and was VERY busy. Only two waitresses working this day. Hard working ladies and they were great! Considering the crowd I'm guessing the cook was working hard also."

Chase M. "Well first off this place is not in a great location for covid, looks like all the surrounding businesses have slowed, so I hope they keep alive through this because that had some amazing burgers...Now when I first rolled up to this place it looked like a dusty bar on a long road out of town... surrounded buy a business park haha... naturally these days burgers are 12 bucks, these come with a side... and right now they're doing a beeer and burger/side for 10 bucks.. missed that by calling in my order!Got a few burgers and a chicken sandwich. Chicken was very generic, but was still good... the burgers were amazing, maybe I was super hungry.. maybe not, I thought they were the best burgers I've had in a while, granted I haven't been eating out much. They do it right, and the sides were all amazing. Fried onion rings, tots, and jojos were all hot and fresh, rings and tots reigned king."

Chad H. "This was my first time visiting the G-Man. I hurried in and out as fast as I could. During my stay I noticed a big wheel in the establishment. I asked one of the bartenders what it was for and she informed me that the week of your birthday you get a free spin and can win prizes. There's also other opportunities to spin and win. I was in a hurry so I sat at the bar, because not only do you get the best service ever, food comes out faster as do the drinks. I had the absolute privilege of meeting the very brand new bartender and she was amazing..ly incredible. She was busting her butt and keep up like it was nothing. We had the chance to speak briefly before I had to run back to work. Go here, sit at the bar get to know her. She has one of those names that if i spelled it out for you I could do it incorrectly. I had a black and blue burger, medium rare with Cajun tots. The tots, they were nothing special. The burger, that was the star of the show. That, and the bartender whose name I shall not spell out for you. Butt, back to that burger. It was amazing! It was juicy, it was spot on temperature wise. The toppings were amazing. The bun was light and fluffy. At the end of it, the bartender tried upselling me on something sweet and delicious. She tried and tried again she did, and I held back. I'm proud of myself. I told her, maybe next time. This bartender was relentless and crafty. She said she's going to get me. Maybe she will. I say, challenge accepted. I let her know I will be back, and I will bring friends. There's two things you walk away from after you've been out to an establishment. The food is the first thing, but it's small in comparison. The second things is the person who waited on you and how they treated you. I was fortunate to find a diamond in the rough. I was also extremely fortunate to find s place near my work that has decent food. As a former Elite member of Yelp from 2012, where Ashton Kutcher's cousin's best friend's from high school's commented on one of my posts, I can say that this place is The Place, and the food is The Food. You cannot lose with this option in the area. Seriously people you must eat here."

Little did I know they actually do weekly trivia on Wednesdays so what a great reason to finally check them out. Trivia here is SO FUN and is run by a great host. Definitely come by on Wednesdays to enjoy a night of fun. It wasn't too busy during the night so they were able to come to our table to grab out order. They did mention when it's busier though you will need to order at the bar. I just have to say that they fry their items to perfection! The french fries, onion rings, and tots - YUM! The burgers here are solid entrees too and were quite large so I was able to share one with the portion size of the sides. Overall, awesome local dive bar. They have parking but it fills up quickly but luckily there's free parking around."

There was so many people and so many nice old schools. The service was okay. We ordered a few drinks and also some tacos. The tacos were amazing! So flavorful and well seasoned/marinaded. These have been the best tacos I've had around town. Will most likely be back again for the food. The bar has a cool vibe. It's small, but they have a room for video poker and they have some games. They also have outdoor seating. They have a large amount of Jell-O shots with all kinds of flavors. One of my favorites is the juicy fruit one. It's all street parking."

The pool tables were playing much better than when we went up and played the front room tables at Midway Bar. The drinks and food are what you'd expect from a bar. Meghan B. "If we go away on a trip during football season, you better believe we search to find a Steelers bar in that city. This place is the only Steelers bar in Portland, and let me tell you.. it does not disappoint.First and foremost, they open early on Steeler Sundays, due to the time difference. They opened at 9:00 am, for a 10:00 am game (1:00 pm EST), so we thought we would "arrive early" by getting to the bar at 9:30 am. LOLOLOL. It was PACKED with Steeler fans already at that point. More than half of this very large sports bar is dedicated to the Steelers and their fans. We couldn't believe how many people were here for the game. We ended up finding a high-top table in the middle of the bar where we could watch the game. A lot of other Steeler fans came in and joined our area as well. They have a ton of TV's here, and I counted about 7 different games that were being broadcasted throughout the bar. There were fans from all over, not just Steeler fans, which was really cool to see. Regarding food, they had a special menu available for breakfast items. You could either order a breakfast sandwich (around $5) or an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for around $10. Not bad at all! We both went with a breakfast sandwich, which really impressed me. It tasted homemade and was quite delicious. They also had really delicious mimosas and a great beer selection. We had a fantastic time visiting A&L Sports Pub and I hope to have the opportunity to come back! P.S. for all of you complaining about service times... be nice to your waiters and waitresses... they work really hard here and deserve some patience."

First, the food is good, I picked the patty melt and fries, they even asked if I wanted to ranch, and remember to say yes to that, because the ranch was yummy. The fries are thick cut, fried crispy and really good. The patty melt was on marble rye as it should be, and the burger was definitely cooked with the onions because the yummy onion flavor was everywhere. Second, service was stellar, nice people who remembered their regulars, and checked up with me as I waited for my takeout order. Third, who has comfortable bar stools? The his place does! They are soft with backs, just perfect. My husband got the gyro and I was pretty jealous because it was also delicious. Lastly, price point, they are cheap, I could eat here cheaper than a fast food joint, and have a nice place to sit and better food. This will definitely be where we go for authentic gyros, and burgers. I can't wait to try more."

This place has a unique setup where their kitchen operates independently from the bar. They have an Asian menu (takes cash only) and then the regular bar and some bar item foods that go on a separate ticket. The lady serving us was super friendly to us and made sure we got our drinks and food order in. She made us feel invited and provided great hospitality. We ordered a good selection of food from the Asian menu. The steamed rice noodles were of perfect texture and thickness. It was very easy to consume. We also ordered a couple of noodles dishes. Andrew H. "My knowledge of George's is that of a good dive bar, the best fried chicken in town (with Reel M Inn a close second) and really good burgers. I think that sums it up. After a nice seven mile bike ride up to Arbor Lodge, it was the place we wanted to stop for a beer or two and some good grub.It was a busy night at the bar because the Western Conference Finals were on and there seemed to be many OKC fans there to watch them beat the Warriors for game one. That wasn't expected when we walked in, and being that a sign at the bar states that fried chicken could take over an hour if the place was busy, fried chicken was not to be had on my first visit here. Oh well.... Burgers however, were a great choice. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger special with fries and my buddy got a cheeseburger with potato salad along with a couple of frosty beverages. The wait began. Even with burgers it took quite awhile to get the food but the food was worth the wait. This is not a "bar burger", this was a really good and large burger with all the fixins plus BBQ sauce that I asked for. It could have used a bit more bacon, because why not? But the burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, the cheese was thoroughly melted and the veggies were plentiful. The shoestring fries were crispy and there was an ample side of them. There was only one bartender for this busy night and she was all over the place, perhaps a second was needed because it took awhile to get drinks and to pay our tab at the end. She was friendly when we did get her attention. It's a nice place with many TVs and even a couple of video games and video poker plus a decent patio out back. I want to get back when it's not bust because I want to try some of best fried chicken in town.Enjoy."

The location just off the main drag in downtown Gresham draws a lower class hoodish clientele that take away from the places potential...
