"Atmosphere: Bright, spacious atmosphere with a little market attached. More of a fast-casual type setupFood: The elephant's cure soup is a standout. Really delicious and one of my favorites. The turkey reuben wasn't as good.Price: Some of the sandwiches are a bit steep. Soup is reasonable. Overall, probably a bit pricier than it should be but the food is reasonableService: DecentParking: I think there is a parking lot. Otherwise street parking"
"Came here a few months ago and liked the place but didn't LOVE it. Last time I said the pizza crust was too thick. I don't know if it is too thick or just not a "next level" amazing crust. Not sure if the dough is hand made and fresh. Toppings are really good though. I ordered The tiramisu for dessert and they make one of the best tiramisu's I have ever had! Staff here is impressive. Very friendly and proactive, which is nice to see. Pizza came out piping hot and right to my table. They waited to bring me the dessert and brought it over as I was eating my last pizza slice! I didn't have to ask or go to the counter, they kept an eye on me and brought it at the right time! Good food and a staff that has attention to detail! If only the could get that pizza crust right, they would have had 5 stars!!!"

"My family and I wanted to go to Ken's Artisan Pizza upon arrival to Portland, but they weren't operating due to the heat wave that day unfortunately! We ended up coming to Baby Doll Pizza though, and it was a great alternative. Loved the casual vibe of this spot. You basically order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. The ordering process is a bit confusing -- they have slices, which I think most people opt for, but they also offer huge whole pizzas. My sister and I were perplexed when ordering but we kept it simple with a half and half of the #2 and the #9, and also ordered the Greek Salad. The #2 was super unique with the walnuts and dates. They do not skimp out on the toppings here, and the crust was absolutely delicious. I was fairly full after a slice and a half. We took the rest home and had leftovers for breakfast the next day!"
"This place is great! The pizza is made with a cornmeal crust and a bit thicker, more filling pizza. I love the variety of toppings they use. The pizza is heavy and I usually only eat two slices. Due to the style of pizza, it can be a little dry as a bite depending on your toppings. I like to have some salad to balance it out. A little wine doesn't hurt either. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their sign up high is just a heart, love it - but it's easy to miss. It's between the food mart and the dry cleaners. It has a nice patio out front. The specials can be even better than the regular options. The banh mi was amazing."
"Outstanding locally owned establishment specializing in Italian dishes and wood fired pizzas. Service was fantastic !"
"We came at the perfect time. There were so many different varieties of pizza to choose from. I ordered the "all veggie" and it was so yummy. I also had a salad with ranch. The dough is so perfect!Thank you for feeding us tonight. We will definitely come more often and bring friends and family."
"As a chicken wing enthusiast, "Fire on the Mountain" in Oregon had been on my must-visit list for a while. I finally made the trip from Las Vegas just to try their famous wings, and it was absolutely worth it!The Thai peanut wings were my favorite, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. But honestly, every flavor I tried was amazing. The restaurant had a great vibe, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better. If you're a wing lover like me, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more!"
"Damn this was good pizza. I ordered the gluten free crust and this may have been the first and only time I've been stoked on my gluten intolerance. The crust is a crispy polenta that adds really great texture, isn't as filling as typical crust, and is freaking delicious!"
"Untapped Trivia on Thursday. Come for trivia and slices of pizza. The vegan option was very yummy. I like how the crust wasn't too doughy. The toppings matched. You can split the pie too."
"When you enter it should be evident that interior decorating is not their thing. There was a large appliance right in the middle of the ordering area and no decor on the walls. I initially walked out as I thought they were closed. That said, the ample sized cheese slice should satisfy your hunger and the price is a more than fair.Unfortunately, the taste is very low-end resembling something you'd find at a ballgame or concert. No customers at lunch and very stoic service. Probably one and done for me."

Such a cute restaurant with a market attached. So many options to choose from, and the ambiance is welcoming and cozy. There's a fireplace in the back seating area which I loved.

On our way back to our hotel, we decided to pick up some dinner so we wouldn't have to leave the hotel again. Based on yelp reviews, we decided to try Bistro 23. To be honest, when I found it, I judged this book by its cover. I probably would not have stopped if it hadn't been for the reviews. It looks more like a store front than it does a restaurant. Inside, there were some customers spread out in a large and spacious but somewhat sterile looking dining room. But she went inside to order, while I walked around with the dog outside. Pig in the Woods Pizza - 5 - Probably one of the best "Personal-size" pizzas I've ever had. The crust was tasty and not too thick. Ham was good, as were the mushrooms. The arugula on top was a bit wilted after a short drive. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but it did not hurt the quality of the pie. Caesar Salad - 5 - She was very pleased with her salad. Dressing was on the side so the lettuce didn't get soggy.Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Basil Soup Combo - 5 - She ate 1/2 hot and the other half cold, the next morning. Tiramisu - 5 - Light and fluffy! The menu is small, but they do it quite well. We would not hesitate to return for another go!

Ok this is piggybacking on my previous JUNBI review. Not only did my pharmacist spring for boba, she bought pizza and sandwiches too! Honestly i wasn't expecting any of this today, but I was quite lazy packing my lunch this morning so quite a few thank yous were given. I didn't have any pizza, i couldn't afford to go home sick, but it really did look amazing. I am from New York, so it takes a lot to convince me that is a NYC pie. This pizza had the foldability, the crust looked perfect and the toppings were minimalist but plentiful at the same time. Let's just say i can't wait to try a slice....soon.I did go for the Italian meat sandwich. I wouldn't call it a Sub (perish that thought), and i wouldn't call it a grinder. It was quite delicious though. For starters, the bread was something of a cross between chibatta bread and a French crusty bread. The quality of the meat was impeccable. All of the peppers and onions added the right balance. I was a little bummed by the small amount of meat on the sandwich. It was presented in the box with lots of visible meatyness, but sadly similarly to those deli sandwiches you see at the grocery store refrigerated coolers, all of the meat was pushed out and the meat to bread ratio was way off. That being said, the sandwich was still amazing. Looking forward to that slice.

Came here for dinner and its a cute little spot for some intimate pizza. We ordered the marinated olives, sausage and peppers pizza along with the quattro formaggio pizza both in halves which was super cool that we were able to do. The service was great and the staff friendly. Sadly someone in our party was allergic to peppers and they plated both pizzas togther unknowingly, no biggie our mistake. Would be willing to try again as we enjoy cornmeal crust pizzas!

If you're contemplating which pasta might be best, get the Lamb pappardelle. It's one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. There truly is nothing bad on the menu, but the tortellini e pesto is a good alternate. It's a really chill restaurant with decent service and great food.I was, however, slightly disappointed in the tiramisu. It just wasn't what I was looking for, and wasn't a classic tiramisu flavor that I was anticipating.

What! I don't have a review for Mississippi Pizza.. what gives I come here frequently enough that I owe them review. One big bonus is that they have pizza by the slice, and boy it is delicious. Most dogs are alive but also have a good breadsticks. The beer selection is so so, but who cares... the place itself is funky or which I like. There is a ton of seating so you don't have to worry about that. Sometimes street parking is an issue, but this place is worth going around the block few times for a few dozen times

Was testing this restaurants, for I keep reading reviews from people I know. For, my plan was to bring my group here for lunch, one day.We found a seat for two, and it was already filled, and noisy. But, we haven't been here before, and there was no sign that says: Please Wait to be Seated. So, we just helped ourselves to a seat. We didn't know, we need to order FIRST. We can not reserve seats, is what the staff told us, once they saw us go in & seat ourselves. We ordered a house salad, and picked Sesame Ginger Dressing. We both liked the flavor, and the salad was fresh, but the leaves were too long, and being the neat-freak eater we are, we couldn't find or wait for a staff to give us a knife, until we're 90% done. We also ordered 5 plain chicken tenders, but hubby was only able to eat 4. Took one home. The tenders came with 4 different dipping sauces. He liked 3 of them but not the medium buffalo sauce. Too hot of our taste! We also ordered Chicken Wrap with Mild Sauce. The first bite I had, was too hot, I was assuming, they only put it in the center of the wrap. Only then, I thought . . . this is not the place to bring picky-eaters, specially my grandchildren, who like me, hated anything spicy! The restroom was clean, but well worn (seen a lot of use). The servers were all very friendly.DYK: the best part of our meal was the FRIES! This is something everyone would agree on, and I asked the staff what's in the fries: Sugar & Salt! Whaaaat? Now you know!Negatives: Took too long for our food to arrive, but the restaurant was very busy, it was Saturday. Not for groups! They don't take reservations!

"This pizza hit all the marks if you're a cheese lover who likes deep dish! The flavor of the toppings were great (I kinda wish the sausage had fennel-but it was still tasty), and the cheese was full of pull! The service was great, and the setting was quaint. Next time I'm in Portland I will be sure to stop by!"
"5/5 would recommend. This place exceeded my expectations. Delicious Detroit style pizza, hefty portions, and perfect for sharing! Great price ($9.50 - price will vary depending on pizza type). Although I felt like their flavor options were verylimited. I ended up ordering the 2 quarter size Number Four (sausage, ricotta, chilies). The pizza was a soft focaccia like bread. Lots of toppings. Super cheesy and paired with the free house made ranch was absolutely delicious. I even had leftovers! Service was speedy quick! Staff were helpful and nice. Ambiance was inviting. I would def come back!"
"Hands down the BEST pizza in town and yes, I've tried the 2 that everyone raves about being the best. But none are as good as Hot Lips, it's not even up for debate, it's simply a fact! I'd been going to the PSU Hot Lips when it was around, back when I was in college, a loooong time ago lol. The fact that it's continued to be so delicious after all these years, decades even, is pretty amazing. Even great places aren't always consistent. My photos are of the vegetarian Summerita we had this month, and Summerita and Winterita half & half we had the previous month. The dough is fabulous, and the toppings are fresh and delish.I've also had their vegan pizza, and wow, you don't even miss the cheese or meat! Not even the cheese and I'm a cheese fanatic! This place is ridiculously outstanding! The staff are all super nice! I only know Drew by name and he's always so friendly and personable. You just can't go wrong here. Just. Can't."
"Square / Detroit style pizzas always catch my attention, so of course my curiosity led me to Ranch pizza. Ordered ahead for pickup before the wind came through, and it was ready on time. Even with a bit of a drive, the slices were still hot. Really appreciated that they boxed the order, even with only 3 slices. For those not hungry enough to commit to the full sheet of squares, the quarter slices are the way to go and a great way to have a pizza tasting. Both the cheese and #4 were well cooked (crispy on the edge but still had a soft middle). I wish the #4 had a bit more sauce to balance the sausage and ricotta, but it was still a party for my taste buds.If I order again the next time I'm in town, I may need to add my own Mike's Hot Honey to the slices. Will buy again!"
"Perfect punk pizza parlor! Pinball! Good music to rock out to, yummy pizza (good CRUST!), chill vibes & nice employees. This place made me happy."
"First time at this place. It was clean and everyone was welcoming. Options to buy by the slice or whole pizza. Vegan options as well."
"Let's start with parking. There is plenty. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing with a rustic feeling. The background music is gentle. The service is top notch and patient. The happy hour prices are excellent. The best part is the pizza. In addition to it being ready in 90 seconds, it is very delicious. This is our favorite new hangout and happy valley."
"Happy hour prices and quality were really good, the services was a bit of a miss but I believe they just reopened so maybe they're still trying to figure things out. Would try again!"
"I had a great few experiences here I normally order for pickup it is always ready on time, it is always nice and fresh and the quality is really great! It's one of the better pizzas I have had out this way. The place is usually not that busy I think the longest I had to wait in line was about 5 minutes and there is always plenty of parking nearby."
"After seeing someone on TV eating a thick crust pizza I had a total hankering for some. I was on a mission to get really good Detroit style pizza delivered. Now I know of some places nearby that have the goods, but they don't do delivery. Crazy right? So I happened upon this place and it looked like a really good option. So now I'm banking on this. Thank goodness they delivered the perfect pizzas! Thick crispy crust with plenty of flavorful toppings. Plenty of rich sauce and every piece was honestly perfect. And yeah, I like squares for a change. Will definitely be coming back every time I want Detroit style. So good!"
"Stop what you're doing and get yourself into the pizza night train. Not that regular circular pizza, yes, the new square pizza is in town and it's absolutely delicious. When I want to treat myself out to pizza, Ranch is the place TO GO!Friendly staff and big court hall next to a bar makes a great place to dine and drink! Plenty of parking and spacious venue for people of all ages."
"A very tasty pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. It's family run, and it feels homey!"
"First time here, did mobile order for takeout. All went smoothly and they give you a three dollar discount for ordering online. The pizza was ready when the app said it would be. The price was great for what I got 15 bucks for a three topping pizza, I substituted for the garlic sauce which was good. I really liked their crust, overall I would go back and try other items and would recommend Boomers!"
"With WIld Child Pizza, you don't need Pizza Week! You can have delicious pizza here each and every week. I really love "the Harissa" it is an amazing combination of flavors, and there isn't any PIzza Creation like that in Portland, that I've found. It has butternut squash, rose harissa, kale, leeks and mozzarella. I have been a vegetarian since June 2001, and it is one of my pet peeves, when the vegetarian option is "Vegetarian pizza" with olives, tomatoes, green bell peppers etc. But, I opt for different ingredients and flavors, and this one is so good!My ultimate secret- favorite part of the ensemble is the crust! The outside, corner pieces have this cheese baked onto the crust. It is so satisfying! And again, I haven't found anything else similar to this in Portland, and it is "Detroit Style" pizza, so plan on eating with a fork and knife on a plate! It is still manageable with your bare hands though! All of the times I have been there, I have ordered online first for whole pizzas, and it has worked really well. I just walk up to the window and it is ready for me. And, all their staff are. really friendly and nice. I was born in the early '80's so I like their design and ambiance. It is a fun reminder of the good ol' days! But, as far as sitting in a parlour space, this is not really the place for you. It is located in a prime area of Alberta, and they do have a hallway/sitting area but no tables with pitchers and video games. But, the pizza take-away brings those memories to life! Definitely check this place out!"
"Love 'em too much to ever exclude them from some Yelp lovin'.Oh Sparky's... your pizza, and particularly, your GARLIC TWISTS really revved me up, sparking a love affair I had with you for the while it lasted...I get nostalgic seeing the photos of my "neighborhood" Sparky's. I am indelicate with that term, for unfortunately, this location had no neighborhood to speak of at all (busy, trucking route with industrial feel all over). Hence, i would recommend the one further south on MLK, closer to NE Fremont, and newer as well. Sparky's has some wonderful, magical dough spell cast upon it... in fact, I had the opportunity to meet the young 20 something entrepreneur who opened this branch a few years ago.. He told me of his dream to own his own business, and the solid, wise steps to make it come to fruition. Their service is good, they're friendly, and they serve up wonderful slices! (it's truly the twists that got me all twisted in a knot of giddiness)They sell by the slice and occasionally have deals with coupons. In contrast to MI PIzza Pub, theirs is a thicker, more chewy, soft kind of dough, and puffier. The latter serves it larger, bit more crispy (though neither approximate NY-style.. hello to my local Gioia!!!!), and with more of the 'gourmet' toppings.S came through for me in pinches, when, bleary-eyed and in a full state of malaise, I had to stuff something down my throat before another 12 hour shift at Emanuel raised its premature head."
