"Came here a few months ago and liked the place but didn't LOVE it. Last time I said the pizza crust was too thick. I don't know if it is too thick or just not a "next level" amazing crust. Not sure if the dough is hand made and fresh. Toppings are really good though. I ordered The tiramisu for dessert and they make one of the best tiramisu's I have ever had! Staff here is impressive. Very friendly and proactive, which is nice to see. Pizza came out piping hot and right to my table. They waited to bring me the dessert and brought it over as I was eating my last pizza slice! I didn't have to ask or go to the counter, they kept an eye on me and brought it at the right time! Good food and a staff that has attention to detail! If only the could get that pizza crust right, they would have had 5 stars!!!"

"My family and I wanted to go to Ken's Artisan Pizza upon arrival to Portland, but they weren't operating due to the heat wave that day unfortunately! We ended up coming to Baby Doll Pizza though, and it was a great alternative. Loved the casual vibe of this spot. You basically order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. The ordering process is a bit confusing -- they have slices, which I think most people opt for, but they also offer huge whole pizzas. My sister and I were perplexed when ordering but we kept it simple with a half and half of the #2 and the #9, and also ordered the Greek Salad. The #2 was super unique with the walnuts and dates. They do not skimp out on the toppings here, and the crust was absolutely delicious. I was fairly full after a slice and a half. We took the rest home and had leftovers for breakfast the next day!"

"This place is great! The pizza is made with a cornmeal crust and a bit thicker, more filling pizza. I love the variety of toppings they use. The pizza is heavy and I usually only eat two slices. Due to the style of pizza, it can be a little dry as a bite depending on your toppings. I like to have some salad to balance it out. A little wine doesn't hurt either. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their sign up high is just a heart, love it - but it's easy to miss. It's between the food mart and the dry cleaners. It has a nice patio out front. The specials can be even better than the regular options. The banh mi was amazing."

Although I felt like their flavor options were verylimited. I ended up ordering the 2 quarter size Number Four (sausage, ricotta, chilies). The pizza was a soft focaccia like bread. Lots of toppings. "Hands down the BEST pizza in town and yes, I've tried the 2 that everyone raves about being the best. But none are as good as Hot Lips, it's not even up for debate, it's simply a fact! I'd been going to the PSU Hot Lips when it was around, back when I was in college, a loooong time ago lol. The fact that it's continued to be so delicious after all these years, decades even, is pretty amazing. Even great places aren't always consistent. My photos are of the vegetarian Summerita we had this month, and Summerita and Winterita half & half we had the previous month. The dough is fabulous, and the toppings are fresh and delish.I've also had their vegan pizza, and wow, you don't even miss the cheese or meat! Not even the cheese and I'm a cheese fanatic! This place is ridiculously outstanding! The staff are all super nice! I only know Drew by name and he's always so friendly and personable. You just can't go wrong here. Just. Can't."

Even with a bit of a drive, the slices were still hot. Really appreciated that they boxed the order, even with only 3 slices.For those not hungry enough to commit to the full sheet of squares, the quarter slices are the way to go and a great way to have a pizza tasting. Both the cheese and #4 were well cooked (crispy on the edge but still had a soft middle). I wish the #4 had a bit more sauce to balance the sausage and ricotta, but it was still a party for my taste buds.If I order again the next time I'm in town, I may need to add my own Mike's Hot Honey to the slices. "With WIld Child Pizza, you don't need Pizza Week! You can have delicious pizza here each and every week. I really love "the Harissa" it is an amazing combination of flavors, and there isn't any PIzza Creation like that in Portland, that I've found. It has butternut squash, rose harissa, kale, leeks and mozzarella. I have been a vegetarian since June 2001, and it is one of my pet peeves, when the vegetarian option is "Vegetarian pizza" with olives, tomatoes, green bell peppers etc. But, I opt for different ingredients and flavors, and this one is so good!My ultimate secret- favorite part of the ensemble is the crust! The outside, corner pieces have this cheese baked onto the crust. It is so satisfying! And again, I haven't found anything else similar to this in Portland, and it is "Detroit Style" pizza, so plan on eating with a fork and knife on a plate! It is still manageable with your bare hands though!All of the times I have been there, I have ordered online first for whole pizzas, and it has worked really well. I just walk up to the window and it is ready for me. And, all their staff are. really friendly and nice. I was born in the early '80's so I like their design and ambiance. It is a fun reminder of the good ol' days! But, as far as sitting in a parlour space, this is not really the place for you. It is located in a prime area of Alberta, and they do have a hallway/sitting area but no tables with pitchers and video games. But, the pizza take-away brings those memories to life! Definitely check this place out!"

"Love 'em too much to ever exclude them from some Yelp lovin'.Oh Sparky's... your pizza, and particularly, your GARLIC TWISTS really revved me up, sparking a love affair I had with you for the while it lasted...I get nostalgic seeing the photos of my "neighborhood" Sparky's. I am indelicate with that term, for unfortunately, this location had no neighborhood to speak of at all (busy, trucking route with industrial feel all over). Hence, i would recommend the one further south on MLK, closer to NE Fremont, and newer as well. Sparky's has some wonderful, magical dough spell cast upon it... in fact, I had the opportunity to meet the young 20 something entrepreneur who opened this branch a few years ago.. He told me of his dream to own his own business, and the solid, wise steps to make it come to fruition. Their service is good, they're friendly, and they serve up wonderful slices! (it's truly the twists that got me all twisted in a knot of giddiness)They sell by the slice and occasionally have deals with coupons. In contrast to MI PIzza Pub, theirs is a thicker, more chewy, soft kind of dough, and puffier. The latter serves it larger, bit more crispy (though neither approximate NY-style.. hello to my local Gioia!!!!), and with more of the 'gourmet' toppings.S came through for me in pinches, when, bleary-eyed and in a full state of malaise, I had to stuff something down my throat before another 12 hour shift at Emanuel raised its premature head."
