"I came here one evening with my boyfriend and had an amazing time. We walked in at an earlier dinner spot and were fortunately able to grab a table. I recommend reservations if you're planning to grab dinner here around 6-7pm as it can get pretty busy. The inside can feel a bit packed but there's plenty of seating. The lighting is dim and decor is nice.My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari, elote, fried oysters, and adobo branzino and everything was delicious. The calamari was crispy and the sauce complimented it so well. The elote was a bit on the burnt side for my taste, but it was also still good. The fried oysters were also fried to perfection and amazing. And, the adobo branzino was so filling with a phenomenal blend of flavors. My boyfriend and I rarely go out to Mexican restaurants but I could see this becoming a favorite. I highly recommend this spot !!"

"Ok this place is fire. For $11, you can get the most perfect lunch of chicken, rice, salad and fresh sauces. I was a vegetarian for 21 years so I get kinda weird out about eating meat sometimes, by which I mean if I get one bad bite, I'm off chicken for a month +. I was nervous that they serve thigh, as I've had bad experiences in the past, but man! This was hands down the best chicken thigh I've ever eaten. Yum! 10/10 recommend!"
"A bit of a delayed review, but I was at the Jade District Night Market and saw that El Inka was there. I got their beef antichuchos which were delicious. It had a nice flavor, not too hard to chew or eat. It came with some boiled potato, sweet potato, lettuce and your choice of sauce. I chose the green one which is mild. Really great snack to have. Definitely will be visiting here for their food."
"En Vida quietly took over the former Acadia space and is delivering some of the best Latin American food in the neighborhood. The restaurant is spacious and is done up in a bright and cheerful murals and décor . There is both indoor and outdoor seating and has plenty of colors to lift up spirits even on a dark cloudy Portland day . We came for lunch on a Sunday and even though they were almost empty it took them a little time to seat us . We had walked in dreaming of Arepas but were told that they were out of it which was a bummer however by the end of our meal they brought some out and boy am I glad for that . The food took a long time to come out but the drinks kept us engaged . My husband is a big fan of chichamorada which is a purple corn drink . Its traditionally N/A but he asked for his to be made boozy and the bartender chose Pisco for him . I on the other hand stuck to a ginger soda which was such a great choice with the food we ordered .We got Tostones , Bandeja paisa and the Arepas . Food was fabulous and very generously portioned . The Bandeja Paisa is a Colombian dish from the Andean region of the country. It is a delicious recipe that contains beans, rice, plantain, chicharrón, avocado ,egg and beef/chicken .Service was friendly albeit slow . I would hundred percent recommend them if you are looking for some good colombian/Cuban food ."

Food and service absolutely 5 star!! Tuna Tostada has incredible flavor, empanadas soo good!! Love that it's all gluten free! Parking is a challenge unless you get real lucky. It's on Division so unless you can walk there you may end up a block or two way. The place is obnoxiously LOUD it felt like we were in a dive bar after midnight. I felt like I had to yell.. next time I'll see about the outdoor seating...

Wowww yummy! I love soul food. This was something different. We ordered then picked up. Parking is street. It's a small place but packed with flavor. I asked for the top sauces. Everything was delicious. I just wish the chicken was a bigger portion. I'm not a huge rice person, so that's why. But loved the sides.

Great food on division. Hard to find delicious and authentic Peruvian food in Portland, but if you use your detective skills enough, you'll eventually find one. This place has a good selection but the one that has great flavor is the spiced chicken. I really enjoyed it and it goes well with the rice. The salads were good too and the appetizers. You need to try them. Support this small business!

Enticed by all the good reviews for this place and a hankering for Latin American food, I needed to check them out. They're quiet on a Friday afternoon. Their space is very colorful and has a lot of fun energy. Their menu is pretty focused but the items all sound very tasty. We went with an Empanada of the day, The Cubano, and the Bandeja. Their focused menu certainly paid off when you see how fresh and well-executed their dishes were. The empanada of the day was a mushroom and cheese. It's made fresh so the cheese was nice and gooey. Their crust is different from what I'm used to. It seems to be a mix of maize and cornmeal rather than flour. I think it gave a nice crunchy crust and slightly chewy inside. A bit small for the price though. The Cubano was again made fresh. Bread was nice and crispy. Inside was filled with hearty meat and cheese. A solid sandwich, especially when paired with their pico de gallo. The start of the meal was easily the Bandeja. You can choose between chicken and flat iron steak for the Bandeja; we went with the steak and we weren't disappointed. It's cooked medium-rare, making the steak super tender. The outside crust was well-seasoned and flavorful. The Plato came with a lot of other tasty things like a perfect over-easy egg, rice and beans, avocado, and the best chicharron I've had. It's small but packed a punch. The outside was crispy all around while the fat layer was still melt-in-your-mouth soft. This dish had everything, perfect for sharing. The staff were attentive and friendly. Happy hour is from 3-5PM on weekdays. All in all, we had an amazing meal and will be spreading the word of their goodness for sure.

"Read about it in cheap eats, and though we spent a normal amount on dinner it wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the price. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of inexpensive items on the menu from tacos for $1 on up. We went for the pollo con tajadas and the carne asada. Both were delectable! The carne asada was tender and flavorful, the chicken was no doubt crisp but once sauced not quite as crisp. But the flavor was down right mouth watering, the sauce they put on it is from appearances a mayo based sauce with a hint of spice, The fried green bananas were good, the pickled veggies packed a nice bite, and the portions were large. There isn't a lot of seating available at this cart, but that really isn't a reason not to come. We certainly will come back."
"You can't always judge a place by their location--82nd & flavel is an intersection most folks go through quickly. It's less than half a mile from home. & El Rinconcito is the 4th Mexican place to be there in the last 12 years. What s gem!. Pretty large menu. I decided to build my own combo plate--empanada, enchilada, panucho and salbute. And you can choose your meats, mostly. With a place named little pig you know to go with pork. Whicd A did with her poc chuc plate--very deliciously marinated & moist pork. Very friendly and patient waitress. Worth visiting the neighborhood. (checkered flag tavern catty-corner is a pleasant, low-ceilinged dive--no alcohol at rinconcito, yet."
"I first assumed this was a Mexican taqueria. I ordered a strawberry cream cold drink, and it was amazing. Later I returned and tried some Honduran appetizers which were a lot of fun. I'm excited lto explore the menu a bit more in the future, as there are quite a few items I am not familiar with. It is a small place with a little market, and only one table. It would be great for takeout."
"Tita's Kitchen Food Truck, nice clean and prompt service. Walking through Happy Valley's Station of Food Trucks, I decided to try something Peruvian. I ordered the Fried Plantains. Delicious! I had a choice of mild or a spicy Peruvian Sauce to dip my plantains in. I went with Mild. My husband and I both enjoyed them and the sauce was a nice touch all for $6 bucks. Give Tita's Kitchen a try."
