Dillon D. "Duffy's has been a downtown Milwaukie staple for years. From it's famous "train beers," to it's Irish honoring music (especially during the non-pandemic monthly performance or award winning artist Darby O'Gill), to its solid selection of food and drinks, Duffy's is a great go to local bar and pub. Their karaoke is phenomenal as well, as is their poker nights. Get the chicken wrap, pictured below. It is incredibly good."

Frank J. "It's a dive bar, right? So my review and rating is based on the fact that it's a dive bar and I knew it was a dive bar before I walked in. These one star reviews because people don't like the place because it's a dive bar tend to irritate me. When I go to a Chinese restaurant I'd don't write a one star review because they don't have a veggie taco item on the menu. So when a dive bar turns out to be a dive bar experience exactly what were you expecting?First time I went in there I thought it was an Irish bar due to the O'Briens sign out front. I'm OFD and Irish bars are legendary for having great food, cold beer and "colorful" clientele. This place is not much like the typical Irish pub. Not a complaint, just a statement of fact.Good place to drop in for a brew. There are waaaay better pizza options in town but as others have commented, the scent of a pie in the oven does make you want one if you show up hungry. This is not a Biker dive bar and I am always easily twice the age of the next oldest patron in the place. The Brooklyn district is an interesting and very diverse area of town. I don't have a lot in common with most of the residents (and I'm sure it's visa versa) but from my limited experience over that way they mostly seem like nice, friendly people. I patronize several businesses over that way and I do like it over there. Way better than my own neighborhood which is mostly pretentious stuffed shirt yuppies and more money than brains geezers. Suffice it to say that I don't generally engage people in conversation when I'm in a bar but the patrons there seem like they are probably ok. Staff has always been fine but again, it's a dive bar so a friendly, helpful, efficient babe tending bar is a plus, not an expectation.I'm not really a darts/pool guy but they have all of the usual dive bar accouterments there if that's what you're looking for. As for me, I'm happy sitting quietly looking out the window and enjoying a cold Colorado koolaid. It's dark and can be noisy but it is what it is.Ample parking especially if you show up on a motorcycle and so far no one has said anything to me when I park my Harley up on the sidewalk close to the front door."

"i came here with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. this place is super spacious and has a casual lounge vibe to it. i heard they have karaoke as well, and i would definitely like the participate if i ever come back!i ordered the #3 which was a rice dish. the meat was tender and super juicy. the egg was fried to perfection and the pickled vegetables balanced out the flavors super well. i also tried my boyfriend's vermicelli noodles and it was a big hearty bowl of deliciousness. the drinks are "dangerous" if you know what i mean the service was super fast. our waiter was super kind and attentive. i really enjoyed my time here and cannot recommend this place enough!"

Jerry P. "Stopped in for the first time in a long time. I decided to stop in on a whim for lunch. I have to say my food was delicious. I could have been fine with a few more slices of bbq'd pork. A little slim on the portion but was very moist and had good flavor. The bar tender/ server was a bit curt with little personality. It was like she was put out by waiting on me. Like I was an annoyance interrupting her nap time. The food was good so I'll stop back for sure."

Lex J. "We really like this place. They've got tables in the front for you and your pup as well as a large seating are in the back where you can bring your pups to! I'd seated outside there's a "mini" beer back there for beers and some cocktails but no wine. Be careful, depending on the season it could be raining tree stuff all in your hair and drinks (not the best). This is what drops them to a 4 star. Not their fault but sucks none the less. You can even smoke in one section of the back. They don't have a lot of beers on tap but do offer Tecate which is my go-to when we're on a budget. Service here is always great. Gas that dive bar feel without that dive bar service.Food here is good. Their wings for wing week we're my second favorite out of the 7 I tried. Even came with a little dipping sauce which I never thought I'd consider a positive assuming they would all offer ranch, etc; but not the case. They have a fun vending machine that is worth the visit. The wife got me a got a sweet eye patch out of it!Oh yeah, GREAT happy hour. Think it's your typical 3-6p but I think it's at least daily!"

Charlie T. "This local small bar out on Foster has some of the best steam rice roll noodles I've had (besides in BC). I know it's strange that a bar would serve this. This place has a unique setup where their kitchen operates independently from the bar. They have an Asian menu (takes cash only) and then the regular bar and some bar item foods that go on a separate ticket. The lady serving us was super friendly to us and made sure we got our drinks and food order in. She made us feel invited and provided great hospitality. We ordered a good selection of food from the Asian menu. The steamed rice noodles were of perfect texture and thickness. It was very easy to consume. We also ordered a couple of noodles dishes. From the bar menu, we ordered some chicken strips. It's the best of both worlds if you're looking for a variety of food. I would definitely come here again."

Jason V. "Stopped in for a quick drink to kill some time before our showing of Top Gun: Maverick at the Academy, and honestly, I wasn't expecting to like this dive bar as much as I did. For one thing, it's far more spacious on the inside than it would appear from the street, with three separate sections containing the bar and some slot machines, a dining area, and a gaming area (with pool, shuffleboard, and pinball), respectively. Live music is apparently a regular thing here as well, which always gets you bonus points in my book!My drink was stiff...real stiff...and yet surprisingly cheap. Seems like a great place to get wasted, listen to some tunes, forget where you parked, and inevitably end up taking an Uber home, on a weekend night. Heck, I might just do that here, sometime in the future!"

Mia H. "I've been to multiple karaoke places, and I would have to say that this one is alright. Since it's the only (Asian) one I am aware of in Portland area, I do go to this sometimes, however, I would say that it's a bit pricer and not quite worth it. The quality of food is alright and the place itself seems a bit older/not kept as well. However, it is always a good time whenever I do come here and the staff is very nice."

I came here just to try the Vietnamese bar food but ended up with some free entertainment from surrounding parties karaoke session. The staff was friendly and ensured we were having a good time. It's a vibrant and loud restaurant, so be prepared for that. I tried the pepper salted soft shell crab, fish sauce wings, and lotus root and shrimp salad. The soft shell crab wasn't fried long enough and tasted very oceany and moist biting into it. The wings were really good and flavorful. Also loved the sweetness of the salad with the crunchy lotus root."

Nico B. "I'm finally getting around to writing reviews for some of my favorite old-school places in Portland. There are few businesses in the Rose City that are as iconic as the Alibi Tiki Lounge. In fact, it's such an important fixture in the tableau of weird and wonderful Portland, I'd suggest visiting at least once... regardless of what you read or hear from others. The kitsch is off the charts before you even walk through the door. One of my favorite things about this area are the historic neon signs that line Interstate avenue. At one time, Interstate was the primary route between Portland and Seattle. So it makes sense this stretch of the road is dotted with old school diners, motels and service stations. Do me a favor and visit at night so you can see the fabulous neon at Alibi and surrounding businesses in all their glory! Once inside, be sure to wander around and explore all the nooks and crannies in the lounge. The building is designed to provide lots of private booths and seating areas. My favorite tables and booths are in the circular elevated area immediately to the right of the entrance. Whimsical lighting, mirrors galore, and red tufted leather booths help set the tone. There's limited seating at the bar itself, but you'll find an area reserved for karaoke in the back, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. The menu boasts an impressive array of classic and inventive tiki cocktails served in kitschy mugs and embellished with tropical fruit, orchids and umbrellas. There is a wide variety of drinks available, but be sure to try one of their shareable "bowl" drinks, often arriving at the table engulfed in flames. I've honestly not eaten much from the food menu, despite many visits over the years. Their burger is bland, the fries are salty, and the nachos taste like cafeteria nachos. I've heard good things about the Pu Pu Platter, but do we really come here for the food? Please defer to other reviewers for an accurate recommendation. Megan G, an Elite reviewer from Sammamish, WA recommends the wings. I'll try those next time! Alibi Tiki Lounge is a delightful escape from the ordinary. It's a must-see attraction for tiki enthusiasts, and lovers of Portland history. Remember to drink responsibly and share your review here so others can learn about this fun and quirky place."

Chad P. "First and foremost, the owner of this establishment hires really good bartenders, who are all friendly, engaging in conversation and attentive to patrons. If you are looking for a friendly neighborhood-style bar where the clientele are older (GenX and older) and people actually talk to each other, versus staring at their phones, Clubhouse is one of the more friendlier and welcoming (not to mention safe, clean and drama-free) bars I've visited in my 25 years of living in Portland. The drinks are fairly priced, the menu expansive enough to please most people and they serve breakfast all day long."

ChadLisa S. "This review is mainly for their Karaoke.Karaoke w/Ham it up services. a 5.0 star KJ and she had an excellent singing voice. They did a fair rotation and even had a screen display to see what singer was up next. They did a good job balancing sound.A good number of talented singers could be heard the night we visited. Karaoke is Wednesday-Saturday. Karaoke night had about 20 singersso we had to wait over an hour to sing a second track. As for the rest of the Bar- 3.25Located in a strip mall beside the bottle drop behind the Walgreens. This bar was OK but not really my scene. I think this use to be an Asian restaurant and they changed it!?!Paradise is clean, friendly, spacious, with lots of pool tables, and dance area. They had fishtanks, lottery machines, and various other games. Crowd was manly age 35+ a bit loud and slightly rowdy. I saw a few people talking to themselves. The Fashion-Embroidered sweatshirts and Good ol American rustler jeans and American flag T-shirt type bar.The pours were on the weak side.So my advice would be to stick to the beer, wine, and shots. They looked like they did serve various bar foods and munchies. We didn't order any food so I can't comment. The bar is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We might stop back again sometime if we are in the areaand are meeting up with friends. Not necessarily some place I would put on our regular rotation."

Rum and coke comes in a big glass, not a puny size. They have a shuffleboard table which is always fun play with friends. It is certainly an older crowd and regulars joint. One of my best friend's brother comes in here once a week since he's a regular and always get the best deals. Consider it a good place to start before heading to the clubs or other places."
