"I'm finally getting around to writing reviews for some of my favorite old-school places in Portland. There are few businesses in the Rose City that are as iconic as the Alibi Tiki Lounge. In fact, it's such an important fixture in the tableau of weird and wonderful Portland, I'd suggest visiting at least once... regardless of what you read or hear from others. The kitsch is off the charts before you even walk through the door. One of my favorite things about this area are the historic neon signs that line Interstate avenue. At one time, Interstate was the primary route between Portland and Seattle. So it makes sense this stretch of the road is dotted with old school diners, motels and service stations. Do me a favor and visit at night so you can see the fabulous neon at Alibi and surrounding businesses in all their glory! Once inside, be sure to wander around and explore all the nooks and crannies in the lounge. The building is designed to provide lots of private booths and seating areas. My favorite tables and booths are in the circular elevated area immediately to the right of the entrance. Whimsical lighting, mirrors galore, and red tufted leather booths help set the tone. There's limited seating at the bar itself, but you'll find an area reserved for karaoke in the back, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. The menu boasts an impressive array of classic and inventive tiki cocktails served in kitschy mugs and embellished with tropical fruit, orchids and umbrellas. There is a wide variety of drinks available, but be sure to try one of their shareable "bowl" drinks, often arriving at the table engulfed in flames. I've honestly not eaten much from the food menu, despite many visits over the years. Their burger is bland, the fries are salty, and the nachos taste like cafeteria nachos. I've heard good things about the Pu Pu Platter, but do we really come here for the food? Please defer to other reviewers for an accurate recommendation. Megan G, an Elite reviewer from Sammamish, WA recommends the wings. I'll try those next time! Alibi Tiki Lounge is a delightful escape from the ordinary. It's a must-see attraction for tiki enthusiasts, and lovers of Portland history. Remember to drink responsibly and share your review here so others can learn about this fun and quirky place."
"Came here for a party and had a great time. Prices were reasonable (actually, much less than we expected), ambiance was nice and the facility was clean, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was tasty (mmmmm tater tots!) and everyone had a great time. We'd definitely come back again."
"Stopped in for the first time in a long time. I decided to stop in on a whim for lunch. I have to say my food was delicious. I could have been fine with a few more slices of bbq'd pork. A little slim on the portion but was very moist and had good flavor. The bar tender/ server was a bit curt with little personality. It was like she was put out by waiting on me. Like I was an annoyance interrupting her nap time. The food was good so I'll stop back for sure."

Heard about this establishment for a long time and finally got a chance to visit. Glad to report that it's as awesome as everybody says!I love the ambience and decor both inside and outside. You can't miss it from the interstate with the flashing bright sign. Inside was dim and cozy with Hawaiian arts and decors. Staffs were also A+, very friendly and hardworking.Their drinks were delicious! I tried the Zombie and was a big fan of its cinnamon-y profile. Their food was also honestly pretty decent. Everything was made fresh. Great portion and price as well. Their Waffle Fries were soso crispy. And, of course, the karaoke area was popping. So many great singers frequent the spot. It'd be fun to just come grab a drink and listen to other people as well. If you want to sing though, get your name in early.Totally would be back!

Private rooms, disco lighting, friendly staff, great vibes with a good selection of music. Reserve ahead of time! Use your smartphone to create the playlist. A good selection of cocktails and food (more like bar food such as tots and mozzarella sticks) to choose from. Come a little early to find street parking. The only complaint I have is the bathroom. It's unique in a way that the faucet is located above the toilet and there are signs telling people to cover the seat prior to flushing otherwise the water will be sploshed all over the toilet seat. At night, one can expect many of the people to be intoxicated in some way so I often find toilet seats wet. There are no toilet covers available either.

Idk if I'd call this place a Chinese restaurant per se, more like a bar that happens to serve Chinese food, but it's One of my go tos when I get late night hankerings and there aren't a lot of options as they're open til 2:30 am. While I wouldn't call their food authentic or world class by any means, they're General Taos chicken always hits the spot, and it usually tastes better at 2 in the morning if you know what I mean. The kung pao was not so good.I've ordered delivery a couple times and it delivers well. Solid portions but smaller than other Chinese greasy spoons. I went in person once and it can be quite loud and rowdy late at night, w/ karaoke and piles of puke in the middle of the floor. Not quite my scene lol, probly will just stick to takeout. But if u are looking for a drunk karaoke night out w/ fried rice & orange chicken, this is your spot.

The food was very tasty. The portions are large. The manager that understood English was very helpful. It was so late when we got there and we left satisfied and happy.

I've been going here for many years. Great clientele and karaoke nights are amazing. Good selection of jello shots and I love the smoked salt they use for Bloody Mary's. With 21 taps they always have a good selection. The poker room is nice and in a room away from the normal bar sounds. The location is perfect being right by the transit center and after 5 p.m. you can park anywhere in the area.

Always a pleasure coming here for dinner -- we like to order the French dip and their wings here are pretty good. As this is a sports bar, they have TVs all over as well as slot machines on the other side. Their owner Lucy is such a sweetheart, she's always so kind and nice! Definitely out favourite spot to dine or have a drink at.

"i came here with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. this place is super spacious and has a casual lounge vibe to it. i heard they have karaoke as well, and i would definitely like the participate if i ever come back!i ordered the #3 which was a rice dish. the meat was tender and super juicy. the egg was fried to perfection and the pickled vegetables balanced out the flavors super well. i also tried my boyfriend's vermicelli noodles and it was a big hearty bowl of deliciousness. the drinks are "dangerous" if you know what i mean the service was super fast. our waiter was super kind and attentive. i really enjoyed my time here and cannot recommend this place enough!"
"Duffy's has been a downtown Milwaukie staple for years. From it's famous "train beers," to it's Irish honoring music (especially during the non-pandemic monthly performance or award winning artist Darby O'Gill), to its solid selection of food and drinks, Duffy's is a great go to local bar and pub. Their karaoke is phenomenal as well, as is their poker nights. Get the chicken wrap, pictured below. It is incredibly good."
"This local small bar out on Foster has some of the best steam rice roll noodles I've had (besides in BC). I know it's strange that a bar would serve this. This place has a unique setup where their kitchen operates independently from the bar. They have an Asian menu (takes cash only) and then the regular bar and some bar item foods that go on a separate ticket. The lady serving us was super friendly to us and made sure we got our drinks and food order in. She made us feel invited and provided great hospitality. We ordered a good selection of food from the Asian menu. The steamed rice noodles were of perfect texture and thickness. It was very easy to consume. We also ordered a couple of noodles dishes. From the bar menu, we ordered some chicken strips. It's the best of both worlds if you're looking for a variety of food. I would definitely come here again."
"This place looks to be improved since the smoking ban took place. Sure this not a great place to meet people and such but the drinks are pretty good. Rum and coke comes in a big glass, not a puny size. They have a shuffleboard table which is always fun play with friends. It is certainly an older crowd and regulars joint. One of my best friend's brother comes in here once a week since he's a regular and always get the best deals. Consider it a good place to start before heading to the clubs or other places."
