"My husband and I couldn't have made a better choice for our spur-of-the-moment breakfast outing at Little Griddle this morning. We arrived just after 9 AM on a Saturday, which seemed ideal. We found a table for two in the half-filled restaurant, just in the nick of time! Within ten minutes of our arrival the popular restaurant had a 12-person waitlist. I can't stress enough how adorable Little Griddle is. They pack a lot of cuteness into this small footprint of a cafe with 10-12 tables that stretch from the bright window in the front, to the kitchen window in the back. The ocean blue ceiling has touches of gold trim throughout, and the featured works by local artists help make the space feel extra special. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit with a side of roasted potatoes. The presentation was lovely, and the biscuit was expertly made. The meals seem shareable as the portions are generous. Every dish has a vegetarian option, and diners will find a wide variety of breakfast and brunch items on the menu. The overall vibe of Little Griddle is bright and happy. The staff were smiling and pleasant, and very attentive to our needs. I happily left a 25% tip and promised to come back again soon. This may be one of my new favorite breakfast places as it's conveniently located near my home and the food is DELISH!"

"From avocado toast to almost every rendition of eggs, Kingsland served its purpose for some bites after a smooth NYC to PDX early Saturday afternoon landing which our kid picked for during our extremely short trip in town.Identical to Mother's Bistro located at the Hilton Embassy Suites, this is Kingsland- with a smaller and maybe, an even more casual setup from Mother's. Regardless, we managed to get here like 25 minutes to closing and you would think we'd be rushed. Think again. Between my mom's spicy chicken sandwich, hubs' cured ham (looked like sliced-at-the-supermarket-meat) sandwich, my kid's salmon+lox omelette with the works and my plain omelette (request) with queso fresco, quick bites was all we needed. Music was an 80s, 90s, 2000s throwback. If anything, service from both the hostess and our server, was legit from beginning to end."
"I love this little neighborhood spot.Great indoor or outdoor seats. Plenty of room for a study group or visit with friends!Their food, coffee selections are good."
"I really overall like Crema and recently had an unfortunate experience that may have honestly moved me to a three-star review, BUT the staff at Crema handled it all so well, that I went right back to a five-star!Essentially, I ended up landing at Crema, ordered a coffee and a piece of nectarine crumble pie, and settled into a corner table to get some work done. On the first bite, I noticed a long hair in the pie, typically, I would honestly just throw it out and let it go as I have spent many years in food service and know how easy it is for something like this to happen, but this time, when I went to pull it out, I couldn't because it was baked into the crust. At that point, I was too grossed out to continue, so...I went back to the counter and explained the situation. The counter person, immediately took the plate away, offered me anything else as a replacement, handed me a $5 card for a future purchase at Crema, and apologized profusely. How is THAT for customer service!!"
"A restaurant whose menu is entirely based on donuts? It's like it was made for me. You order a drink, a savory item, and a sweet item for something like $30 which seems very reasonable to me. My husband and I chose:- Grapefruit Juice- Deluxe Drinking Chocolate- "Everything" Beignet Benedict- Monte Cristo-Nut- Sourdough Pancake Donut- Carrot Cake ForeverBetween everything we got, my favorite items were the Everything Benedict and the Pancake Donut. I really loved everything though and I wanted to try everything on the menu. The only thing I didn't like about this spot was the drinks. I wish they had more non-caffeinated options, but that's a minor complaint. There is no dedicated parking and street parking is paid only."
"Great overall vibe and menu selection. Some good seating options and looks like there's a back room for larger events. At first glance the prices are shockingly high. However, the portion is very generous. The fried rice on special - which easily feeds two - was very good. Bacon fatty pieces make a difference.Staff is cool."
"Enjoyed a good dose of Portlandian spring air this morning at JoLa Café. Selected "The Country" burrito but had it as a bowl instead of a wrap. Very good and I will probably steal their cool idea of green chili sour cream! The salsa was also homemade with flecks of fresh cilantro and onion, it was very delicious. To wash this down I had an iced mocha which was equally primo, and I wish I would've requested a larger size. My brunch partner liked the sausage egg croissant sandwich and commented that the tomato jam made it taste unique. I noted a lot of adult bevs on the menu including mimosas, Irish coffee, hot toddy, and bloody Mary's. This is a neighborhood gem in Corbett, I loved how it was off Macadam just enough so as not to hear the traffic. It's quiet and peaceful outside the cafe. My family and I will definitely be coming back."
"I love rand and staff. IMO they have the best coffee and awesome friends working here. Today I got a breve and it is awesome as usual. Appreciate the ability to hang out and just listen to interesting conversations. I am getting more and more truthful with how I truely feel tho. These guys are G's Free Ancient Accepted Masons like me. WTF are we doing? My heart does not rest in messing with an existence that does not speak to my heart. Again, they have awesome food coffee and I will always come here as long as plan good is not started:-)"
"Locally owned and great coffee; works for me! I get my hair cut next store and afterwards usually treat myself to an iced mocha. baristas are friendly and love to talk about and explain the different coffees. They also have a small but delicious selection of pastries, muffins and cookies. If you want top notch coffee and pastries, get a pasty from Twisted a little further down the street and a coffee or tea here. The cafe has a clean and modern decor with a bit of industrial vibe. There are just a few chairs and tables inside with a couple of bistro tables and chairs outside as well.Parking on NE Broadway is sometimes tight so park where you can or across the street Which for some reason usually has open spaces."

Little griddle is such a hidden gem, it's an absolute amazing local brunch spot! The restaurant is very small inside so I always make sure to get on the wait list on yelp before arriving. Parking lot is small but there's street parking. Ordered: Shakshuka comes with toast highly recommend this dish its peppery and the onion and tomato just work so well together. I'd order this every time.Bacon cheddar hash- my bf likes it but I think it can be a bit heavy. Blueberry French toast , we ordered this with the intention of to going it but ended up finishing it at the restaurant loll the toast is so airy and the blueberry jam compliments it so well it's not heavy at all! I think the salad was complimentary but omg I need to know what dressing they use I will literally buy it on the spot!! I enjoyed dining here good food good vibes, tables were a bit too close to each other so its kinda awkward but it's understandable due to how small the establishment is.

Ate breakfast here before heading to the airport. The restaurant offers typical breakfast items to include pancakes and chicken sandwiches. I ended up getting the eggs Benedict Florentine. They offer you a side of potatoes versus side salad. Since it was breakfast, I decided on the potatoes. You get a good portion served to you. The food was OK. The hollandaise sauce wasn't flavorful. For my drink, I had the Irish coffee. It was good and strong.Parking is street parking. We were there on a Monday so got lucky with a good spot right across from the restaurant. You do have to pay for parking. The waitress and assisted us was friendly and gave good suggestions.Inside seating is pretty limited.

Been coming here for years, and lately the vibes are off. They're extra slow,20 minutes for an iced coffee when there's hardly a line. Baristas chatting with each other so loud for us all to hear

Popped in put of the cold rain for a warm drink. Sis ordered a Chai latte and I got a hot apple cider. It was as juicy as a biting into a crisp apple and warmed my insides. The baked goods were tempting but I was saving room for lunch.Customers can obtain a bathroom code for access. I was in awe of the artwork and wish I would've peeped the second one. The inside of this coffee shop was pretty spacious yet still lacked open seating. I sat at a table that was entirely too close to have a private convo from the next table. Service was friendly.

TIP:You pick one item from each column: drinks, entree, dessert. And they all are the same price. We got three different things to share with the 3 of us and it was GREAT. There's board games lying around so you can kill time while waiting for your food. Cute and quaint place with no matching plates or cups but it was adorable lolThe pork belly was bombbbb and would order that on the side lol all the dishes seemed small but they actually were filling because of the entree/dessert combo. I'd love to come here again next time I'm in town!

Cozy spot to sit, eat and work. I was in the area and needed some fuel for the day. Asked for recommendations from the worker and she was very nice and recommended the Ella Bee's Breakfast Waffle with has bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese all inside the waffle. Savory indeed! To wash it all down went with the Honey Bee Latte. There are couches, chairs or benches to sit on depending on your preference. Most seem to be working while enjoying a good cup of joe. There's a little electric fireplace if you need to warm up. Order at the front, sit and enjoy.

"Fun coffee house. This place gives me total Gilmore Girl vibes. The inside is Ute. There are different places to sit. Each time I went I , the place was very busy. They had live music on Friday evening where someone was playing guitar. The homemade apple muffin was so tasty! I asked for it warmed, and it was delicious. There were real apple pieces inside. The coffee itself was ok. I was expecting a bit more since I was in Portland. The staff were ok.I tried different lattes from their speciality menu. All tasted pretty good.I totally recommend stopping by for some coffee and a muffin.A lot of locals were there with their dogs. Portland is definitely dog city USA."
"Quality food and tea. Nice place to work with wifi and cool inside in the heat. Good outdoor seating as well. They bring food/coffee/tea out as well, nice folks, good service."
"Been here several times and it's always good. Excellent selection of fancy snacks. I got the granola last time and was surprised as how delicious it was. Looking forward to my next visit."
"I've gone back several time since my previous review. The food and service is great. I'm glad I gave it another chance."
"Espresso and coffee makes the day for lots of peeps in The Pearl District. This is a bustling coffee shop to hang out inside or outside sidewallk table in the shade of trees. Cool vibe. I am really enjoying my cappuccino with a complementary chocolate. Also, serving up a spot of tea, cold drinks, yummy pastries and some sandwiches."
"I was surprised that I never ventured to Tiki Tea before when driving on Alberta especially given all the high reviews. Driving up I realized it's slightly tucked in from the main road so be sure to look out for this shop next time you're in the area. The space is really cute with plenty of plants and the ones they are propagating spelling out Tiki Tea on the wall. Their menu is pretty expansive so I ended up trying their classic milk tea and strawberry milk fruit tea (blended). I went with the strawberry fruit tea based on all the reviews and I can see why people constantly get it. It's a light and refreshing smoothie where you get nice bits of strawberry. The classic milk tea was also good but definitely more tea-y if that makes sense. I probably would try another milk tea next time. I also tried their boba and it was cooked well with a nice chew but weren't that sweet from what I could tell from our batch."
"Absolutely ideal spot on NE Halsey for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or tea. There are plenty of items to choose from their menu, and the many we've tried are both ample and delicious. Very friendly, cordial service. Booths and tables inside as well as out on the street. New Deal Cafe is a perfect spot for a meeting over cups of coffee or tea, or just sitting by yourself while working on a laptop. No loud music or TVs. Very clean and safe. All the staff continue to wear masks.Open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays."
"Heck yeah this place is the bee's knees. Delicious food, specialty drinks, and the staff are all amazing. The vibe is cozy and clean. 10/10."
"Ducked in from the rain for my wife to order a coffee; she ended up ordering a hot coconut milk tea with boba instead, and after one sip, I ordered something similar (a hot vanilla milk tea with boba) for myself! I generally avoid such drinks for calories' sake, but I couldn't help myself: they're just too good!Glancing over the rest of the menu, they're rocking all sorts of awesome teas, milk or otherwise, including Thai, iced and loose leaf varieties, tea lattes, Italian sodas and smoothies, plus a delectable array of Bahn Mis (one of my absolute favorites!) and breakfast sandwiches. It may have been bad weather and a happy accident that brought us in here, but we will return of our own volition in the future! What a great find!"
"An Alberta coffee shop with plenty of character! Just Bob is the cutest coffee shop with plenty of unicorn decor and even a playroom in the back corner for your children. They have awesome staff that greeted you as you came in. The place is order and then find a seat and I really enjoyed how they had a variety of seating for you to enjoy the place. Once you place your order they will call you for your drinks but will bring your food to your table. When you're done you clean your own table. As people left we saw the staff clean the table before another group sat down. As for what to get the drinks here are a must try! I thoroughly enjoyed their nutty mocha and chai. Perfect for a cold day since they come out piping hot and have fun latte art. For food I also tried the phylo wrap with the German sausage since you don't usually find that on a menu and it was pretty good. Came with a variety of mustards as well. I believe they are made to order so can be ~15 mins. I also tried the breakfast bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. I think they steam the egg here which was not your typical bagel. Solid toasted bagel that you might need to eat with a fork since some pieces might fall out as your eating it. As I was looking around the space they have art covering the walls as well and seem to have events here too!"
"Came for the coffee; stayed for the sandwiches; will DEFINITELY return for the soup!My wife wanted a hot cup of coffee on a cold, soggy October morning. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, but I was hungry for something warm and comforting; thus, I began poking around online for a café reasonably closed to home that looked intriguing, and could satisfy both of our cravings. Hungry Heart checked all the boxes. The interior is a little sparse, in terms of seating and indoor dining (fallout from the height of COVID, perhaps?), but we grabbed an empty table near the (artificial) fireplace, placed our order: a tuna salad sandwich, a classic Everything bialy, a golden milk, double shot espresso, two oat milk lattés, one using horchata, and a bowl of the tomato soup. Drinks arrived first, in a handful of minutes, with the food hot on its heels.I have nothing but rave things to say about everything: the tuna salad sandwich was fantastic (bonus points for using capers, dill, and pickles instead of celery!), the Classic bialy hearty and satisfying, and the soup - otherworldly! Among the best I've had, anywhere, all by itself; but the addition of creme fraiche and basil oil elevating it even higher. Too often, the inclusion of basil can be a bit overwhelming, as it is quite often overused, but infusing it in oil? Stroke of genius. As a former barista, I can be critical of boutique café beverages, but the staff here know what they're doing. Thick, rich foam, correct temperature, quality grounds - you're in good hands here. The staff were also friendly and helpful, offering suggestions, clarifications, and general conversation.Although we didn't utilize it (this time), online ordering is also available, and seems pretty easy to navigate. You can even order ahead for pickup the next day, after they've closed, and choose your preferred pick up time. Pretty great for a local operation! All in all, Hungry Heart PDX has left me, well...hungry (and thirsty) for more. We will absolutely be back!"
"Hard to imagine finding such an upscale establishment in the heart of the industrial Central Eastside district, but this is one portion of the city that has continued to surprise me of late. After a long afternoon of playing with the little one at OMSI, a refreshing cup of tea (iced or otherwise) was just what we needed, myself ordering the former (an iced Exceptional black) and my wife the latter (a cup of Autumn Leaves).Sitting on the elevated patio on what is likely to be the last of the sunny afternoon weekend days this year, sipping our tea and enjoying each other's company, my wife and I contemplated our infrequent consuming of tea, and how that is something that needs to be rectified, for both our enjoyment and our good health. We both agreed that a change was in order, and some tea was promptly purchased, in the hope of shaking up our nightly pre-bed rituals and hopefully ushering in a new era of deep, restful sleep.Although some of the loose leaf can be ludicrously pricey here, the quality is top notch, and any teetotaler would be wise to shop here first, instead of settling for some off-shelf bagged nonsense."
"Super cute little neighborhood bagel shop making bagels fresh daily. They have something to please any pallet, including vegan options. Extremely nice people working there too. Many options for food and drinks to choose from so you won't soon get bored. There are only about 4 bar seats at the windows so prepare either for that or to take it with you, but do go! You won't be disappointed."
"The Feng Shui here in on point: crisp lines, open spaces, ambient natural light; clean, organized, elegant. The tea (and service!) is pretty good, too! A slightly overwhelming selection of fresh, flavored and milk teas, juices, tea, lattes, and coffee, all of which can be modified by level of sweetness, and the addition of boba, tapiocas and other jellies, seeds, and foams (cheese foam?! wut?!) based on your preference. We walked out with a matcha milk tea for myself, and a Thai Tea with boba for my wife, all for less than $10 bucks. In the world of customizable, consumable craft concoctions, I'd frequent this place over any Starbucks, any day of the week. There's nothing about our experience here that I would Ding them for; they executed their mission to a Tea! Sounds like a five-star experience all around, Williams!"
"Had some time to kill on a Friday afternoon so we stopped in for a small bite to eat. It's a cute place - very vintage and felt authentic. I split a burger with my daughter, which was fine. It also came with fries. I'd be interested in coming back here sometime at an actual mealtime to try their halibut and chips, which seems to be quite popular."
