Annabelle R. "Located at Pioneer Courthouse Square, parking was hard to find, but this food cart was not. Service was friendly and helpful with no wait to order, and it took about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. The breakfast sandwiches here are unique and tasty, the sriracha mix-a-lot with just the right spice, and the yolko ono with a delicious light layer of pesto, a slight char on the sausage patty inside (almost overcooked but nice and savory), the egg fried perfectly, and the sourdough bread airy and flavorful... it's clear they use quality ingredients here. There was nowhere to sit and eat as they were setting up for a concert on the day we visited, so we ended up walking to Director Park nearby and enjoying our meal at the tables over there."

Nico B. "My husband and I couldn't have made a better choice for our spur-of-the-moment breakfast outing at Little Griddle this morning. We arrived just after 9 AM on a Saturday, which seemed ideal. We found a table for two in the half-filled restaurant, just in the nick of time! Within ten minutes of our arrival the popular restaurant had a 12-person waitlist. I can't stress enough how adorable Little Griddle is. They pack a lot of cuteness into this small footprint of a cafe with 10-12 tables that stretch from the bright window in the front, to the kitchen window in the back. The ocean blue ceiling has touches of gold trim throughout, and the featured works by local artists help make the space feel extra special. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit with a side of roasted potatoes. The presentation was lovely, and the biscuit was expertly made. The meals seem shareable as the portions are generous. Every dish has a vegetarian option, and diners will find a wide variety of breakfast and brunch items on the menu. The overall vibe of Little Griddle is bright and happy. The staff were smiling and pleasant, and very attentive to our needs. I happily left a 25% tip and promised to come back again soon. This may be one of my new favorite breakfast places as it's conveniently located near my home and the food is DELISH!"

She was so gracious and gave us lots of information.I can't believe how fast the service was. That made me doubt how good my burger would be but honestly, it was probably in the top 3 of all burgers I've had. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Great place to eat after playing pickleball for a few hours. I was really looking forward to having the turtle cheesecake. It's in a bag on the back seat right now. I'll definitely enjoy it tomorrow!Like I said, the reviews are spot on. Try this restaurant. It will end up being one of your favorites, too."

Had the following biscuits: the reggie, veggie reggie, bbq biscuit, wedgie, brisket biscuit.I liked the wedgie (fried chicken + fried green tomato) and reggie, the latter was drowned in a fantastic gravy. I tried the veggie reggie, which was also comparably delicious! Would prob come back for these biscuits, but would pass on the bbq biscuit and brisket biscuit as the bbq components were alright. Did take a while for our order, but was expected based the size of it. Very filling, and very high in sodium (chugging water the remainder of the day). Not too much seating (3 low tables, and bar height seating for 8 or so ppl)."

Rachel M. "It was a nice surprise to see this place was nearby our hotel in Clackamas because I love Bob's Red Mill products. Even though the parking lot was full, the place had a lot of people, but it wasn't overwhelming. The store is a great spot for any home cook, and I would go here regularly if I lived in the area. The store is neatly organized with different aisles for gluten free options, baking, and bulk items. It also includes a restaurant that appears to get pretty busy with dining tables on both levels.I ordered the Whole Grain Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich (3.5 stars). The biscuit was a bit crumbly and soft, but it was not dry. I liked how the egg was cooked with a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese and crispy bacon. Even though the biscuit isn't as good as Pine State Biscuits, the sandwich was simple yet satisfying. The side of fruit (4 stars) was good as every piece was ripe and refreshing. I also ordered a side of gravy (1 star), and it was so bland. The Homestyle Potatoes (4 stars) were delicious. My husband had the Vegan Pancakes (3.5 stars), which you can also request to be wheat free too. The texture was fluffy, which isn't easy to achieve. After I placed my order, I was told it would take 20 minutes. They handed out a pager so you can browse the store without missing your order. Even though I didn't buy anything from the store, I saw various Bob's Red Mill products that are not usually in my local grocery store. Overall, it's a cool spot with 4 star service, and I'm glad I found it through Yelp."

Mercedes C. "From avocado toast to almost every rendition of eggs, Kingsland served its purpose for some bites after a smooth NYC to PDX early Saturday afternoon landing which our kid picked for during our extremely short trip in town.Identical to Mother's Bistro located at the Hilton Embassy Suites, this is Kingsland- with a smaller and maybe, an even more casual setup from Mother's. Regardless, we managed to get here like 25 minutes to closing and you would think we'd be rushed. Think again. Between my mom's spicy chicken sandwich, hubs' cured ham (looked like sliced-at-the-supermarket-meat) sandwich, my kid's salmon+lox omelette with the works and my plain omelette (request) with queso fresco, quick bites was all we needed. Music was an 80s, 90s, 2000s throwback. If anything, service from both the hostess and our server, was legit from beginning to end."

Jando S. "I'm all for a gimmick and as someone who has indulged often in the Bay Area style super burritos, I couldn't pass up the chance to enjoy something in the same realm as King Burrito. This place is exactly what I'm looking for in a no pretense eatery, fair prices, good service, and hearty, tasty food. Portland local dives don't get much better than this.Located in North Portland just outside of Arbor Lodge Park, King Burrito is a small eatery with handful of tables and chairs with the classic open kitchen with the above-counter wall menu (#1). A majority of the folks coming through are coming for takeout and unless it's bad timing, I've never really seen this place full. The fluorescent lighting and semi-shoddy bathrooms aren't major reasons to dine-in but the food most certainly is.As of right now, all burritos are in the $8-9 range. The famed king burrito is really a chile relleno with refried beans, steak picado in their in-house avocado sauce in an oversized flour tortilla. The carne asada and carnitas have been my go-tos but I think their cabeza (head) and lengua is an outstanding option. Their breakfast burritos should be considered, especially the chorizo con papas and the machaca. Every burrito is going to be littered with onions, so for folks who aren't all about the cebolla life, be sure to mention it ahead of time. Overall, the burrito is an absolute gut bomb and will trigger an immediate food coma post consumption.Anything in a burrito can also be done in taco form. Most of the tacos are in the $3-4 range at this point but similarly to the burritos, quite sizable and served with good portions. They also have non-taco options, such as hot dogs, burgers, taquitos, and quesadillas. The latter is the only thing I'd order, but to each his or her own.The service is quick and the staff is mainly Spanish speaking. There is usually a young man who is handling food orders in the front and on the phone. A majority of their parking is in the back and they're no longer open past 11pm on any day of the week.Lastly to management: I realize prices are fluctuating everywhere, but none of the prices from the outdated website (#2) or the counter menus (slightly outdated) match the wall menu prices (current). This will cause some confusion for new customers and maybe disappointment for many others. __________(#1) A common theme amongst many ethnic takeout eateries.(#2) Beware of their severely outdated website menu prices, which are at $5.50 a burrito and $1.50 a taco."

My husband and I both got the half sandwich, soup or salad and pie deal and were so happy we did. The salad was really great with carrot shavings and even peas. I had the chili and it was great. We also had a taste of the cream of mushroom and it tasted homemade and delicious. By the time dessert came around, we were so full that we asked for our desserts to go. Marionberry poppyseed cake rocked my world and the carrot cake was dreamy! Even the bathroom in this place is awesome. Really well kept and modern."

My husband and I chose:- Grapefruit Juice- Deluxe Drinking Chocolate- "Everything" Beignet Benedict- Monte Cristo-Nut- Sourdough Pancake Donut- Carrot Cake ForeverBetween everything we got, my favorite items were the Everything Benedict and the Pancake Donut. I really loved everything though and I wanted to try everything on the menu. The only thing I didn't like about this spot was the drinks. I seldom eat fresh mushrooms on my hamburger, so I only ate 1/4ths of mine, and had exchanged with hubby's Reuben Sandwich 1/4ths and onion rings. This time, I enjoyed their French Fries. I ended up ordering a chocolate milk and the Campfire Burrito which came loaded with all of the fixings and was topped with an absolutely delicious pasilla pepper crema. The burrito was of a good size (though I personally wish it was a bit larger) and was really tasty. I will say though the presentation was a bit weird. I was expecting to be able to pick it up and eat it but it had the crema on the outside of it so you had to eat it with a knife and fork which causes a lot of the ingredients to fall out making it a bit difficult to get a bite with everything in it. Mercedes C. "Sometimes when my husband I travel we end up in spots and I wonder, 'where are we'? Just like this place. Our daughter gave us the 411 and said breakfast slaps and it's cheap. But, she also assured us that this place in the Southeast Portland area isn't sexy or high-end. She was right. Hotcake House screeches outdated Formica counters, wood panels, orangey wood furniture with a whisper of school cafeteria. This could probably be the absolute best place to overhear your fill of local gossip.Since our kid knows the restaurant and menu well, we sat and she ordered up and paid. Server brings your meal over and voila- you're eating. Basic is what you get. Nothing flashy. Don't expect artisanal waffles-but the fresh macerated strawberries, elevated them from 0 to 5 and my daughter's fluffy pancakes kept her satisfied. Service was pleasant and the music was an eclectic mix of R&B and Indie. Restaurants want to add flair to the menu- with micro greens this, aioli that, jalapeño everywhere and maybe some pickling- this is none of that. Fuck the dated look- come here for the breakfast (and lunch items). Hotcake House is consistently busy every time as my daughter told us and we noticed, so it's worth checking out the hype."

To wash this down I had an iced mocha which was equally primo, and I wish I would've requested a larger size. My brunch partner liked the sausage egg croissant sandwich and commented that the tomato jam made it taste unique. I noted a lot of adult bevs on the menu including mimosas, Irish coffee, hot toddy, and bloody Mary's.
