"The Uncanny is amazing! It looks like you're walking into a haunted house, and in the bathroom, they have a mirror that makes you look like a ghost! The bar itself is very cool, the kind of place you want to hang out. The people who work are there are super nice, friendly, and accommodating. There's plenty of outdoor seating in front and to the side. There's even a fireplace out front for cold days. As of the summer 2024, they have been collabing with Grass Fed PDX and Dinger's Deli to serve vegan lunch 11am-4pm Thurs-Sun and vegan dinner 4pm-1am everyday. The cheezsteak hoagie I ordered for lunch was SO GOOD. You must go here if you haven't been. So so good."

"THE VIEWS. Stunning. Highly recommend this place. Loved the halibut fish and chips too. Beer selection was great and service was great. I would highly recommend coming here!"
"We went to The Portland Bottle Shop on one of our latest trips there. We wanted a bottle shop with a large can selection of local breweries and we definitely found that here and purchased quite a few cans to take home that nicely met those specifications. The great thing was not only did they have a good selection to take home in cans but they also served food and had beer on tap. We both got a beer, Steve and I to go along with our meal. For lunch I had a delicious Portobello Mushroom sandwich which was excellent! Very fresh ingredients and very, very flavorful. I haven't had this particular mushroom in a while and it was great to have it in this sandwich! Lots of other promising sandwich and lunch options as well!I'd love to come back because not only was the food great but this location is in a neighborhood I'm not familiar with at all and I would love to explore it some more!"
"Stopped here for lunch while in town visiting a friend. It had a sports bar vibe. Full nice big bar. There were tables and booths for families. I had my baby with me so that's where we sat. The bartender/ server maybe it was the owner I'm not sure but he was efficient, friendly and didn't bother us too much yet didn't neglect us.We got the candy salmon, French fries and mac & cheese. All the food was great, came in big portions and was very reasonably priced. I would definitely come back here when I'm back in town or if I lived around here."
"I have had Double Mountain in the past but I haven't delved into this particular location. Steve and I got their very refreshing and solid Kölsch beer. Being very light bodied which we can always appreciate. Flavor features to find with this beer is clean and sweet. It also goes down very smooth which we can appreciate as that is a typical preference of ours as well when enjoying beers on the lighter side."
"Gumba is a cozy Italian restaurant located in Portland, Oregon, one of my fave food spots that I visited! Gumba delivered. The interior was cute and aesthetic and each room had their own vibe to it. I loved the atmosphere Gumba had. As for the pasta, tagliatelle was my favorite out of the two I tried. The tagliatelle dish is made carbonara style with caramelized shallots, roasted seasonal mushrooms, burrata, sesame and olive oil. Shallots is a game changer for me, I love how aromatic and flavorful it made the dish! The pappardelle was good but a little bit too salty for my taste buds. The pasta itself was delicious and it had the perfect texture! The dish was made with braised beef short rib, toasted chili, garlic, olive, tomatoes, pecorino cheese, and bread crumbs. Yumm!"
"I love that this is what opened in this space after Ringside Steakhouse vacated. The menu for food has changed over the years. But I like the pizza and beer with other gourmet types of bar food on the menu including salads. The beer shines in all its award winning glory - and I've enjoyed every beer I've tried here so far. I do love a good Pilsner and they do that very well! I'd like to make it here for happy hour one day as I hear they have $10 pizzas. Bar service is great! There's some issues with either the floor or some of the bar stools in front of the bar (kinda rickety) annoys me every time. But I'll forgive them for having wonky chairs when the beer is so dang good!"

Great lunch. Quick service and both burger were excellent. Onion rings were good as well. I love the counter top which is a large electric guitar.

Has such an amazing experience with a large group here. Let's be honest, eating out with a large group can be daunting and as the check comes around sometimes a pain BUT our waitress was awesome! First off the VIEW is amazing and the entire staff was so kind & helpful when it came to taking pictures and going outside. The sunset was UNREAL! There was plenty to offer on the menu for everyone. We got a wide variety of food from mac & cheese, elote, pizza, salads, burgers... they had something for everyone. The spicy margarita with a tajin rim was awesome! We enjoyed our meal and the view!

Really wonderful bottle shop in the Sellwood area. It was great to see tons of locals enjoying their weekend here and that is a great sign of the place! It was awesome to be surrounded by so many wine bottles and beer that I've never even heard of and you can purchase them as you're waiting for your meal. Really cozy spot but they also have outdoor seating. Their menu consists of soups, salads, sandwiches, sides, and even a kids menu starting at ~$12. I ordered the chicken pesto, brooklyn, and side of onion rings. I enjoyed the pesto sandwich and would get that again. The bread was super soft but I personally would have preferred a thicker bread - still worth trying. For the brooklyn it was a nice hot sandwich but I probably would opt to get another sandwich next time. As for the onion rings you can get a small or large. If you're contemplating the staff said the small comes with 8 rings and large with 20 so do with that what you will. Staff here is nice as well and it's an awesome local spot to enjoy your meal.

Good amount of TV's here and Happy Hour is from 4-7. The beer prices are nothing super special for HH, but there are some good food deals. The Hawaiian Ahi Poke was solid, and my buddy liked his Kalua Pork Burrito.

"Bar Salut Cherie is a new Arbor Lodge neighborhood gem! My husband and I decided to check this French wine bar out for the first time tonight. Everything about this place it great! Customer service is more than on point. We had water filled to the brim the whole evening. The owner, Emid was fantastic to make recommendations of wine and food. He is clearly passionate about his business, the neighborhood, and the customers. I'm not the biggest fan of French wines historically, but I found some wines I was pretty fond of. I ordered the mussels.....SO GOOD!!!! I can't believe I have fine wine, and deviled eggs within walking distance to my house. Cheers!!"
"Had dinner with 3 friends last night for the first time at Zinc. We had a great experience! The service was excellent, food delicious and prices reasonable. The atmosphere was comfy but like most restaurants without acoustic ceilings, the conversation volume around us was loud. We all had a cocktail, I tried the elderflower Manhattan and the mushroom Gnocchi, my friends had Bolognese and the soft shell crab pasta. We shared plates of assorted warmed olives and crusty bread. I will definitely go back!"
""Your favorite bar east of 82nd," is the slogan for My-O-My. The location at 8627 NE Sandy is not a destination you would expect. Parking on Sandy is difficult but pop behind the bar up into the neighborhood and there's plenty of free street parking with a short walk. The outside may not look like much (a few picnic tables on the sidewalk next to the busy street are not too inviting). But step inside and you'll feel like you're transported back to the 70s! A big sign overhead displays the cocktail menu and other drinks options. The long bar is backlit. The seating is delightful. Wallpaper covers the walls, pinball machines flash in the back, the pool table awaits, and a fireplace crackles away in the corner. Oh, and that outside seating out front that wasn't too appealing? Don't worry, they've got a super cute back patio! With a second location of the Monster Smash food cart serving up burgers. Check out their Yelp page for reviews of the burgers - short story, they're damn good. The cocktails at My-O-My are tasty. I started with "MOM's Grog" which is a fun name. I literally pronounced it "mom" which perhaps was not intended but I think it works well. Then I tried the Last Rites. Also good! (Prices aren't displayed on the overhead menu and I didn't see a paper menu, which I don't love. But I believe they were in the $11-13 range, which seems pricey but I guess is just what cocktails cost these days.)I'd be happy to come back for the cool vibes of this bar, and I'd be even happier if there were a burger+drink combo happy hour!"
"I visited Wu-Rons with a good friend who is always in-the-know when it comes to the best ramen in town. Goodness... was she right! We each ordered the Pork Tonkatsu ramen and I couldn't have been more pleased. The broth was rich and flavorful without being too fatty or salty. The noodles were perfectly cooked with just enough bite they absorbed the flavor of the broth and held up until I ate every last drop. The portion size was just right! I'll be returning to Wu-Rons to sample other dishes on the menu.Parking can be challenging at this location. There is a tiny parking lot, but you'll likely need to fend for yourself in the busy central eastside location just off Water Ave."
"The church bar is always fun to be since you cannot miss their theme. Ok well I'll have to confess not on a Sunday since that karaoke night haha. But that's a totally different topic isn't it. I love the church as well for their food when you crave a small snack or an impossible burger. But also cause they always have some changing ice teas - so bring your sober friends have your beer or drink and then you can enjoy their alcohol free items. The barkeeper are always friendly and will find something you like. I had the upside down pineapple burger a special burger on the menu let's dive into a slice of pineapple fried in pancake batter, jalapeño's, pickles, cheddar Cheese, fried shoe string onions, bacon, beef patty with a raspberry chipotle BBQ Sauce on a toast brioche bun.Told you they are creative with drinks as with the burger Let's get this out of the way. Yes you can argue if pineapples belong on a pizza (yes they do) or not. But the church bar makes one thing clear there is no question a pineapple belongs on a juicy burger. This one has a spicy kick to it from the sweet raspberry chili jam the slice of the exotic fruit is making the whole burger a juicy experience and the crispy onions are giving extra crisps for texture and tastes. All in all a burger to enjoy. So perfectly made to bad it's only a special bit a very delicious one."
"I didn't dine in but I love a place where I can buy some Son of Man cider along with some various tins of seafood. Well, this is precisely such a place so I did precisely such a thing. Pass on those beef sticks by the register though."
"For Mother's Day early dinner, my family decided to take me (& their dad, hubby of almost 50 years) to an Italian restaurant nearby, but they don't take reservation, but they recommend to come early. We did, and the patio we wanted is 1 hour wait. (We could have gone at 4, to eat at 5, if we knew!) While waiting for the rest of my children (& grandchildren), oldest son suggested, let's walk around to see if there's another restaurant to go and be seated right away. And WE DID! Not only did we eat outside, on an 82 degree very nice very little wind in the shade, but we were greeted with a friendly (smiley) kind lady server, and beautiful too!I wanted the TAMARIND drink, (that was all I can remember), it has brown sugar, honey, & lime. (My youngest son knew I don't drink alcohol, anymore, but I told him, once in a few, and today is a special day, so I will). All the ingredients on my drink was appealing UNTIL I got to the Serrano (I knew it was a brand name, I didn't know Fuego means fire. (Until down the street from us, a car was really on fire, and I showed video to my sons, and they said: FUEGO! LOL). Anyway, I didn't care for my drink, since it was spicy hot! Every adult in my table, all took sips, and finished it all, but I was left without a sweet drink, and our very nice, lovely waitress gave me same drink, without the spicey Serrano. Thank you, I'm happy now! Each ordered what they wanted, hubby and grand daughter both had the hamburger, I and one son ordered the fried chicken and another son ordered the pork chops with mashed sweet potato (I am surprise for the first time, because he, my dad and I only eat sweet potato in our family). :)All's well that ends well. We could have stayed for sweet-stuff, I heard we're heading to an ice cream parlor, and visit some more.Note: I would prefer the outside, HERE, than the patio there! Sometimes, the Holy Spirit will guide you, where they think is BEST for today is a special day for all mothers!Amen?"
"Honestly, I don't visit Rachel & Rose enough. It's a great place to have a beer or coffee while enjoying the surrounding food carts delights. Sometimes we stop in to play cards or just enjoy the view from the second level of the double decker bus. The beer selection has several local options and types. We always have great service from the owner himself. See you soon Rachel & Rose!"
"This is a somewhat divey sports bar on Main Street, carved out of what used to be the pizza shop. It might be a perfectly fine sports bar, but I am giving a 1-star review for lax mask adherence from the staff. I went to pick up a pizza next door, and had some time to kill so figured I'd grab a pint while I waited. It was a mistake. Just as the news was reporting our COVID case was spiking, several patrons who appeared to be "regulars" were wandering around between the bar area and the back area where the video poker machines were without a mask, or with a mask down below their nose or on their chin. Rather than enforce the mask mandate, the bartender and another staff person (who acted like perhaps a manager or owner?) were regularly pulling down their own mask to talk. Uh, hey, it only works when it is on.Once we are past this pandemic, this might be a perfectly fine bar to catch a game or meet up with some friends. Until then, I recommend avoiding it."
"A solid place to get some quick food when in The Zipper. They have some really tasty nachos that are packed of goodies. I liked that I could order an item from them and then other items from the surrounding area."
"A nice place to go if you want different types of crapes, especially the savory ones. I really love the flavors and essence of the apple pie crêpe, which brought a hint of sweet and satisfying. My breakfast crêpes is good to like a breakfast burrito but a crêpe! I highly recommend coming here with friends, and just sitting down and enjoying a cup of coffee while eating some crêpes, and they have other options to on the menu, but their best known for their crêpes, of course."
"Alberta Pub in the King area of Portland is a corner watering hole hangout hosting a bang of a party until the wee hours of the morning. My daughter wanted to kickstart our Sunday as she'd gotten wind of Alberta P's Soulful Sundays lineup a while back and suggested we come during my short solo visit to Portland. Alberta P. has a dim, cozy feel with the bar area+stools and other tables around. My kid and I were here for the live music the next room over. This room has high stools, slender counters on opposite side and several hi-top tables front of the stage- with cymbals, decorating the walls. Grab a cocktail and settle in. The owner seems to be a legend in these parts who has been hosting and supporting the local live jazzy+Soulful Sundays music scene for a while. Come here if you wanna listen and jive to musicians zhuzh up famous jazzy and soul tunes. The Sunday my kid and I visited, the live band improvised their own schtick- but it also felt sloppy as the main singers ate up a bulk of the time stretching out the songs. At times, it felt and looked like they were cackling. Despite this, the singers had a powerful voice-especially the guy who sounded like El DeBarge. My daughter and I ended our evening on a high note in a dimly lit venue while a live band tinkled out sets of jazzy+ soulful tunes until late. Come with an open mind and you'll leave with your senses bedazzled in some fun- but interesting way."
"Big portions, tasty, and quick service! I could go on but I am too busy eating the delicious chicken Ramen I just ordered while enjoying a beer and sake."
"About 9 years since i was last here. interior even scruffier, but homey. tap list has doubled to 20, Excellent service. Had the brisket sandwich. bisket a bit dry but good melted chesse & grilled veggies, bun a little substandard. melba had the reuben which was okay, and much liked the jalapeno slaw"
"A quintessential neighborhood dive bar! Came here to say how amazing the burger is! It is the best-example of a classic burger - lettuce, tomato, onion, quality beef, and the most perfect cheese skirt one could ask for. You don't need ketchup or mayonnaise, it's that good."
