"WHEN: Fri @5pmWhile there is plenty of seating at this food hall, not many are in the shade, so those get snagged up quick! What's convenient is there is a tablet you can place your order from, and here's what 3 adults shared:Our order comes with pickles and warm dip bbq sauce.PORK SPARE RIBS (1 lb) - $16Not my favorite since I'm not a fan of dry surfaces but the flavor is all there. SLICED BRISKET (1/2 lb) - $16Wow so tender! Best brisket ever! Even better when you dip it in the BBQ sauce. Man, I am impressed.ORIGINAL SAUSAGE (1) - $6I appreciate it already cut into section which makes it easier to share. Your standard sausage link with a bit of kick to it. I liked it. PORK BELLY BURNT ENDS (1/2 lb) - $16Rich and tender enough for me. Juicy and rich. Okay fine, it's fatty, I said what I said.QUESO MAC AND CHEESE - $4.75When you receive this after it's served, it looks like a pool of runny yellow liquids. Don't worry that cheese sauce will l thicken, and just might become the best Mac n cheese you've ever had! Price is decent too for the amount! How did we manage to still have leftovers? I guess we weren't hungry, which proves more that this place serves good BBQ!"
"We wanted to try a different BBQ place just to see and TBH, this place kind of got me with their banana pudding. In fact, it's a must with every order and I will not share. It was so good. The first time we ordered a big shareable tray and not only was it fully loaded, but tasted great. Enough food for a couple days to be certain. I love deviled eggs, but I love them more with tasty brisket. We've enjoyed the variety of sides they have to choose from as well and love the crispy top on the mac n cheese. Their burgers are also super tasty. BBQ is kind of pricey in general but this is no more expensive than others and the portions are plentiful. They have lots of sauces to suite a variety of tastes. Everything has arrived in great condition with delivery as well. We'll continue to order food because it's been good consistently."

"My last review of Du's was in 2016, but I've been going since at least 2007. Still--one of if not the best tasting anything in Portland. That's what she said. Honors: They were about to close for about an hour to service the grill (in the early afternoon), but after learning I was visiting from DC, fired up and made me two chickens extra sauce to go."
"As a chicken wing enthusiast, "Fire on the Mountain" in Oregon had been on my must-visit list for a while. I finally made the trip from Las Vegas just to try their famous wings, and it was absolutely worth it!The Thai peanut wings were my favorite, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. But honestly, every flavor I tried was amazing. The restaurant had a great vibe, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better. If you're a wing lover like me, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more!"
"Driven by for years and finally stopped. It satisfied my craving for Korean food, but it's about as low-end of any Korean restaurant I've visited.Observation: not one Korean employee. The Dolsot Bibimbap was subpar, but ample. The banchan: meh. The interior ambiance: sloppy. The outside: sketch.Service: friendly and above average. Meaning, she checked-in a few times, was pleasant, a little above and beyond actually. So would I come back after all that? Yes, because it's value including generous reorders of banchan."
"My boyfriend said he's been coming here for years. The portions are the perfect amount of food. I love how there is options to grill Korean bbq. We were craving something soupy. We opted for the bulgogi & curry combo. The curry soup is a must try! I never had it any where else. The staff are super friendly and always refilled my banchan. I would definitely come back."
"So I pay money to cook my own food ? Alright then ! This place had been on my bookmarks for years and one fine evening when we were particularly hungry we decided what better day than today to stuff our faces . We came in on Sunday evening and there was a 20 minute wait before we were seated . Annoyingly there were plenty of open tables however . The setting is a little different than most Korean BBQ joints -its not all you can eat and keep that in mind before you go . The various meat options come with a price and you can pick what you like otherwise there is a couple mix n match combos as well . Menu also has a selection of a la carte Korean dishes . We got the BQ Combo and a side of Korean pancakes . The meats though limited in selection comes in huge quantity and it was definitely more than we can eat .The grill was a little wonky at first but turned out ok after a while . The combo comes with a bowl of rice , stew and side dishes -mostly pickled veggies .The pork bulgogi was our favorite . The good thing about the fixed menu is that you can take the rest of it to-go which most KBBQ place don't offer . Service is alright , they do what you ask for and that's about it . Wont come check up on you till you ask . we also got a traditional Korean drink that went very well with the food . Overall , I would say they are alright although ,I don't see myself returning anytime soon ."
"I was surprised to see I hadn't left a review before because I've eaten here and had it delivered many times over the years. It's definitely close and they have a large variety of mains and sides. The main reason I come here is because they have big plates. You can get 3 meats with 2 sides and cornbread. We like to be able to just share rather than getting our own meal every time. Plus when you take someone out it's nice for them to enjoy their meal and still have a good amount left over for later. I would agree that the sides are not the most amazing but the meats are generally good quality and well cooked (like fall off the bone and not tough at all). We've always been happy with the sauce flavors for the meat and the portions are pretty standard for BBQ. We've found it pretty consistent and when dining in staff has always been pleasant. With delivery we've had no issues and it arrives just fine."
"It's been a while since I've been here. We came for lunch, but after the lunch rush so there weren't many people left. They have two options - Mongolian Grill or Hot Pot. We initially wanted the hot pot, but we didn't think we would have enough time to enjoy it, so we opted for the Mongolian grill. There was your standard selection of meats and veggies to choose from. Since it was only us, our food came out pretty quick. The host was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed."
"Aloha Grill in Tualatin is more than just a fast food joint; it's a five-star Hawaiian culinary treasure. The flavors are absolutely spot-on. Whether it's the perfectly seasoned teriyaki or the delightfully crispy Katsu, every dish is a testament to the authentic Hawaiian cuisine. The grilled beef short-rib is remarkably tender and the way they serve the teriyaki on a bed of fresh cabbage, accompanied by two scoops of rice and a scoop of Hawaiian style Mac, is simply divine. But what truly sets Aloha Grill apart is their warm, friendly Hawaiian style service that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant's clean and inviting atmosphere adds to the overall delightful dining experience. If you're looking for a reputable Hawaiian restaurant, Aloha Grill is undeniably the place to go in Tualatin."

Well, you have to get here right when they open or order online right at 10 AM.It's Father's Day, and I waited too late to get the Beef Rids, but what I did order I'd good also but kicking myself for not ordering an extra Mac & Cheese. It's a food truck haven where Matt's is located at and trust me a lot to choose from. But for the BBQ. It's Matt's Hands down.Make sure to get out and grab you some good BBQ in the Pacifica Northwest.

It was Father's Day and it was very busy. We went an hour before we were meeting up with our son and his fiancé and put our name in. We then took a nice walk around the neighborhood. When we came back, our table still wasn't ready and we waited next-door for about 15 minutes longer and enjoyed a beer there. I think our waitresses name was Cynthia and she was fabulous. We started off with the deviled eggs, which were delicious. We had the big house salad, which was also amazing. Then the platter came with the two sides. There were four of us and there was still leftovers. Everything was exceptional except the mac & cheese to me wasn't anything special. I think getting the big meat platter is a great deal . Would definitely come back and would highly recommend if you want some good barbecue.

As a fourth generation Asian American I've had my fair share of teriyaki. This place has been hyped up so much that honestly I'm not quite sure what expectations I had. I don't know what got into my brain but I felt I had to have the chicken. So I got the chicken and the pork. The chicken was good. It was juicy enough. Nothing exceptional but in my opinion chicken is really easy to screw up. The pork had some good flavor on it. Nice char on it. Juicy enough. I liked it. I added some sauce but I think I added too much but that was my fault. If I loved salad I would appreciate the amount of it. Teriyaki salad has two kinds of dressing. Creamy and garlic ginger bomb. I guess I'd choose creamy. It was ok. Price was a little high. But it's possible I've completely lost touch. The soda machine was broken. I don't know if it always is, but I really wanted one. Ambiance is nothing special. On par for sandy boulevard so I'm not offended. Is it good. Yes. Is it worth crossing town and making it a compulsory Portland meal? That might be a stretch.

Was testing this restaurants, for I keep reading reviews from people I know. For, my plan was to bring my group here for lunch, one day.We found a seat for two, and it was already filled, and noisy. But, we haven't been here before, and there was no sign that says: Please Wait to be Seated. So, we just helped ourselves to a seat. We didn't know, we need to order FIRST. We can not reserve seats, is what the staff told us, once they saw us go in & seat ourselves. We ordered a house salad, and picked Sesame Ginger Dressing. We both liked the flavor, and the salad was fresh, but the leaves were too long, and being the neat-freak eater we are, we couldn't find or wait for a staff to give us a knife, until we're 90% done. We also ordered 5 plain chicken tenders, but hubby was only able to eat 4. Took one home. The tenders came with 4 different dipping sauces. He liked 3 of them but not the medium buffalo sauce. Too hot of our taste! We also ordered Chicken Wrap with Mild Sauce. The first bite I had, was too hot, I was assuming, they only put it in the center of the wrap. Only then, I thought . . . this is not the place to bring picky-eaters, specially my grandchildren, who like me, hated anything spicy! The restroom was clean, but well worn (seen a lot of use). The servers were all very friendly.DYK: the best part of our meal was the FRIES! This is something everyone would agree on, and I asked the staff what's in the fries: Sugar & Salt! Whaaaat? Now you know!Negatives: Took too long for our food to arrive, but the restaurant was very busy, it was Saturday. Not for groups! They don't take reservations!

K-town is a good beginner's place for Korean BBQ, to get the experience of cooking your own food. The food itself was medicore, the meats could be better. Veggies was very sad. Banchans were basic. The steamed egg was deflated and dipped in like a crater with barely any eggs. Lastly, I'm not a fan of gas stoves with a metal grill. I prefer charcoal and/or the webbed metal grill for better flavor. Wait time was around 20 mins for a table for two. AYCE $35/per person.

I have passed by this place probably a million times when grocery shopping at Fubonn and not only was it until recently that I tried it. The Korean restaurant is located at the front, outside portion of the supermarket mall and has a big sign for you to notice it! Inside, there's plenty of tables, and you can either order specific dishes or BBQ.I've come here twice now and every time the service has been amazing, and the food has been delicious. I love the banchan here too! Although they have a lot of other similar dishes to many Korean restaurants in the area (and do it just as well), one of my favorite dishes that is often difficult to find in Portland is samgyetang--and they have it here! It is the perfect soup for when you are feeling under the weather and is so good. I highly recommend this spot.

One of my favorite BBQ spot. I do take most of my friend and family from out of town here. Like why not? The selections of meat and dishes are variety of everything. They open late. The staff is really kind. Sometimes there is a wait so be patient if you come in big groups. It feels like a party vibe, especially on the weekends. :) Bring the energy and an empty stomach to eat!

"We were a large group from a conference that scheduled with this location and they were willing to stay open late to serve us. Upon arrival our group doubled and they were initially unprepared, but mid service other employees began to show up to expedite the experience. While the wait was long, because that was our fault, it was worth the wait. Before I get into how good the food was, let me shout out the chef that was initially in the kitchen alone and flowing!!! Did not skip a beat! We LOVED our food. Well seasoned, cooked to perfection. I got the fried salmon which came with fries and of course I grabbed some sides (Mac n cheese and yams). Eating this food was like having elevated home cooking. I am so looking forward to returning to Portland just to eat at this spot. No pics of food were taken because I got it to go and was nibbling mid meeting. But trust me... it is worth the visit."
"Walking in, Buster's smells of heaven! It's easy to navigate up to the counter, and you get to watch the magic of your sandwich being made. The choice of sauces can be a little overwhelming, so sample a few and load up on your favorite. I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was everything you could hope for. Juicy, flavorful meat on a soft fresh bun. My mouth is watering thinking about it! The interior of the place has a fun western theme, great for the kid in all of us. Great food, check it out!"
"We came by right after opening on an overcast Sunday. We were the first hungry people in for lunch. There's not a lunch menu on Sunday, so we ordered off the regular menu.I ordered the lemongrass chicken, another of our group the crispy basil and another the red curry with chicken. Our table also ordered the shrimp salad rolls. All our dishes were wonderful and the salad rolls very fresh. Leftovers were brought home and I recommend this great Thai place. We'll return and try something else from their menu."
"I've driven by this Hawaiian-food restaurant at least a couple hundred times, yet I had never popped in to actually try it. They have strange hours; mainly late morning to about five pm, which is typically outside my schedule. They focus mainly on catering, but do have a small dining area in the front of the building. I decided to try it out, since there aren't any other Hawaiian food places that I know of in North Portland. I got the chicken rice plate with a double order of mac salad. The chicken was grilled with a nice layer of char, and lightly sweetened with a hint of spice. It was good quality chicken and they gave me quite a large portion, on top a bed of rice. The mac salad was nice and creamy, with large macaroni noodles. Again, huge portions and even with a single side I would have been satisfied. The price for this with a Diet Coke? 10.25. Yup, you read that right, only $10.25. Considering the portion size and the quality, I am very impressed and believe it's a good bargain. The service was very nice also, and my waitress was attentive and checked frequently on us. The dining area is minimal, they do not serve alcohol, and I don't believe they have wi-fi. It's definitely no-thrills, but if you want good food at a reasonable price it delivers. They also do to-go orders over the phone or online, and offer a deal where you get a free meal if you order ten times online. My only critique is their fairly limited hours, and wishing they could be a bit more flexible for the traditional crowd. But I also understand they focus more on catering rather than dine-in."
"Was craving kbbq while in Portland and opted for K-Town BBQ as it was one of the few options open during the day and time we were around. We showed up as a walk in for a group of 3. The experience started mid for us as the restaurant only had a few patrons dining, yet we waiting about 7 min before anyone even greeted us. No acknowledgement upon entering, no acknowledgement as someone walked past us. We just were kept standing there and I was about ready to leave. Finally we were greeted and brought to a booth style table. The menu is offered all you can eat style during which you can order 4 selections of meat at the same time before ordering the next round. Meats that we ordered included:- LA galbi : our favorite- bulgogi: very solid with great flavor- spicy bulgogi - same as the above bulgogi with a little heat- beef brisket: meat was very tough and we did not enjoy it- pork belly: solid, decent flavor, not too tough- melona soju cocktail: a bit too sweet for me but my partner enjoyed it - banchan: not great but not bad; decent"
"I am amazed at the proliferation of food carts the past few months on the 48th/50th Street blocks of Division, one of which is LeRoy's.Just two weeks ago I declared that Cheese Bar was my new go-to place in the neighborhood for sandwiches. That's still true, but now add LeRoy's as one of my favorite sandwich places.I was the first customer when Leroy's opened at noon today (open daily 12-7). I placed an order for a Beef Brisket BBQ sandwich, a chicken Po Boy and a side of mac & cheese to take home.As I waited in the cold pouring rain (a typical June day in Portland, it seems) for my order I took a look around the premises. I was curious what kind off business was operating inside the permanent structure on the property. It was hard to tell if it was a junkyard or a plumbing shop. On a ledge next to two burned out fluorescent tubes rested a toilet seat. Near the "Honey Bucket" was a gutted toilet and a crumbling box of plumbing joints.I'm not really sure what the difference is between LeRoy's BBQ sandwiches and their Po boys. Both come in pork, beef or chicken. Both come topped with a perfect mix of chopped cabbage and sliced scallion. Both come on toasted bread. Both have the most excellent barbecue sauce: sweet, but not too sweet, smoky, a little tangy and even a little spicy hot.But most importantly, both sandwiches are stunningly delicious!! The mac and cheese (shell pasta) was pretty good. Served in a little Chinese take-out box emblazoned with a red pagoda, the cheddary mac & cheese was, I felt however, a bit too garlicky and a bit salty.Other sides to try include: black-eyed peas, collard greens, green beans and coleslaw. Also, you can get barbecued chicken thighs, and of course, barbecued ribs."
"The food is always magnificent. I go back time after time after time simply because I'm l craving it!Luckily there have been the same few servers there, they recognize everyone that comes consistently. They're friendly, efficient and really good about noticing if a sake bottle is empty or all the raw meat has been cleared. It's warm, but everyone is cooking at their table. Pretty loud, not a lot of privacy. Family friendly. Well lit, and their bathrooms are always clean!"
"Wonderboy is part of the Arborlook collection of food carts in a cool backyard setting like you are hanging out at your buddy's pad.Maybe cause it was rainy and cold, the service was a bit gloomy. Meat portions are not satisfying for the price. House sauce and slaw has a slight bitter finish. Three & a half stars.Guzzle a pint from the neighboring cart to smooth out the lunch."
"Great place for local food. Located off Murray. It's in the old big island grill space - looks like this will be a constant place for local food. Staff is friendly and local. Food is great. Got the garlic chicken and it tasted like what youd get in Hawaii. And they make malasada! Will come again"
"Very good BBQ and very cheap (11.50 for ribs and a couple sides). Small menu, they do ribs and chicken and a few sides which makes it easy to choose. The collard greens here are the best I've ever had - so savory and not bitter at all. They're cooked with some meat bits so vegetarians can't even enjoy them, hah! Love this little food truck pod, they've got Conscious Sedation beer garden in there so you can enjoy a nice beer with your meal as well. Beware though, hours seem pretty irregular."
"My wife and I were at Trail Distilling doing a tasting and decided to give Fran's Kitchen and try. This cart is serving great barbecue and soul food. Nothing disappoints me more when someone is advertising smoked meats and there isn't a smoker to be found. This was not the case! There was a smoker going right outside their cart. My wife and I shared their smoked meatloaf and gravy served over rice, a brisket sandwich with dirty rice, and a side of pineapple slaw. The smoked meatloaf with gravy was extraordinary! The smoke on there was perfect! There was a nice bite to it. The brisket sandwich, dirty rice, and pineapple slaw was amazing as well! The service here was over the top. They not only gave up their personal serving of meatloaf as it had sold out, but they brought it out to the tasting room, and checked in on us as well with a great smile. I'd honestly love to sit down and talk about food and life with the two running this cart. I'll be back again soon, hoping to try some ribs and hopefully some more of that meatloaf, This is a great addition to Trail Distilling. If you're in the mood for some great soul food, give Fran's Kitchen a try. Make sure to ask if they have any items not listed on the menu."
"Hidden little gem in the pod off burnside. Great Korean bentos. Owner is friendly and Korean - so the food is legit. I like their spicy chicken - flavored with gochujang which is a spicy paste. Got the kalbi combo - wasn't worth the up charge to get the spicy chicken added. In the future I'd just get a spicy chicken bento"
"JJ's is a newer cart up on Killingsworth at the Piedmont food carts and I'm never gonna say no to BBQ. It was later in the evening and they had sold out of brisket. Chicken and pork ribs it was. I got the two meat combo which comes with two sides and some cornbread. Ok, the good was the meats. The ribs were tender and the chicken was also cooked well. Spicy BBQ sauce was not too spicy but had a little zing. The cornbread was good and on the sweet side. The sides? I was a bit disappointed. The collards were too salty and the mac & cheese, not seasoned enough. I figure that they're still a new cart so I'd think things will improve. Give em a try.Enjoy and support local."
