delicious food, limited menu I suppose that's because they focus on their specialty, burgers. They are reasonably priced and I was astonished at how large one of their regular burgers was. It took me two days to eat it, and it was still just as delicious when I ate it as a leftover. Service was great, ambience was perfect especially for a small local company.

Recently, the Oregonian rated this burger establishment as a must eat/top 5 burger place in Portland. So the bar was set pretty high. The service was fast and friendly. The fries were spot on: hot/crispy. The burger (served on a bun potato bun) was competent. It didn't rock my world, but overall, good job guys! The food truck court was dog-friendly with lots of great seating....

My partner eats at the Desi PDX food cart here because of it's All Gluten Free nature, so I've been trying out the different carts here each time we go.This time I gave Burger Stevens a shot. The prices are pretty reasonable for a Portland food cart. I opted for a double classic cheeseburger with a fried egg on top and a side of fries. I didn't choose any side sauces except for the ketchup that came with it.Fries cost five bucks for a box, along with the 13 dollars for a burger. I will say, though, that adding an egg for a buck is probably one of the most value-conscious egg additions I've seen on any menu. I've seen people charging upwards of three to four dollars to add an egg, and when you count the fact that at the time of this writing, we're just getting over something of an egg shortage, I wasn't too heart burned about paying more for fries and less for an egg.The food came pretty quickly and was very hot. The fries were thin and crispy, and absolutely wonderful. I really did enjoy them and there were quite a few in the box.The burger itself was a smash burger style, which I really love. Crispy and thin, you get a lot of the char flavor with each bite. The egg itself was perfectly over easy, and when I took hold of the bun, the yolk exploded all over the burger and made a great, smooth dressing. I used the fries to scoop up the rest of the yolk. Be aware; it's messy and your hands will get sticky, but that was worth it.The only complaint really I had with the burger was that it seemed to lack seasoning. The burger patties themselves were good quality, very hot, and the cheese and components (I didn't get the sauce on the burger) were all good, but there was just a distinct lack of seasoning when I ate just the burger patty by itself. I don't know if this was missed, if it's a deliberate decision to have salt come from the other components (maybe the fancy sauce is really salty?), or what. But I did really notice that the burger itself was somewhat bland under the char flavor. All in all though, a very reasonable burger for this food cart pod, service was good, it came out relatively quickly, and there's quite a bit of food for what you pay for.

Burger week bust! In all my years of attending Portland Burger Week, this is hands down the saddest excuse for a hamburger. The place was empty, I was the only customer so you can't use being busy as an excuse. If you're a hamburger cart, you should probably make good burgers. Also the cart is parked right outside the public restroom so it smells of urine. Dude at the counter was condensing and had a poor demeanor. Burger Stevens has lost it touch, at least on this visit. 1st pic is what I was served, 2nd pic is what they advertised

Well if you are looking for happy smiling help you should go to a chain restaurant. If you are looking for an amazing hamburger then you will find that here. WOW! Is the word i can use for this place. It's in a pod of food trucks and the place on a Friday lunch was pretty busy. I would compare the burger to something my grandmother would have made in an iron skillet and the fries are hot, crispy and salted to perfection. You won't be disappointed and if you've never had a fried egg on your burger then this is your opportunity to go crazy with it.

So far Burger Stevens continues to be a reliable option for a proper smash. Nicely crisp edges with a tasty smash sauce and a smidge o grease. The fries cooked perfectly, although slightly over salted. Service was friendly and our food ready fast for a weekend visit. Definitely a top smash option around the metro.
