Bun Bo Hue Restaurant

Bun Bo Hue is my favorite Vietnamese food of all time. I could eat it every day if possible. I even considered applying to work here because I love it so much, but we would be out of soup to sell everyday.The ambiance is very comforting and everyone that works there is always smiling when welcoming people in.This bowl of noodles has everything you want. Meat, veggies, carbs, and comforting soup. It has pork, beef, pork knuckles, Vietnamese sausage, and pork blood (don't knock it till you try it brothers). I literally have no idea what they put in their spice, but it's SPICY, one common thing you will hear in the restaurant is someone coughing because they slurped down the wrong pipe.In all seriousness, if you want a mom and pop shop that serves delicious food (their other menu items are delicious as well) , you should check this place out. They are always welcoming of everyone and that's what always has my friends and I coming back.

It's a super small place, family owned on a very sketchy section of 82nd Avenue. Limited menu, average quality for Bún Bò Huế. The broth was way to light and not enough flavor for my taste. Street parking and limited parking in the back of the store. Quick and friendly service.

This place has a real at-home feeling. I think, had I geown up in this neighborhood, I would've come here a lot. The folks here are very friendly. They have a wide variety of food and it's all very affordable compared to the many other similar restaurants nearby. If you're looking for authenticity, this is definitely a place you should check out.

Sketchy part of Portland, parking is behind building. The neighboring building looks like amazon auction resells. Food is good, family owned. Very casual. The bowls were cracked, silverware spotty. Owner was also eating and greeted us. the tables were not that clean, doesn't look like they put any time or effort into decorations or cleaning. Too bad because the food is good. I hate to say this but you wonder if they would pass inspection on cleanliness. Lots of boxes stacked on floor, looks wet and dark with mold ? Probably won't go back.

This place has some really good Bun Bo Hue. The store seems very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is clean and simple. I got the regular sized bowl, and I still felt like the portions were great. If you're extra hungry, you can opt to get a large size bowl. For the size of the bowl, I'd say the price is pretty fair. There is a discount if you use cash. I really love the flavor of the soup and the mix of all the ingredients in the bowl like the meat and vegetables. They do offer various other Vietnamese dishes, but I'd say you should definitely check this spot out if you're craving Bun Bo Hue.

Best Vietnamese food av tried in America so far. Definitely a hidden gem. Service was top tier. Really felt like you're sitting at a restaurant in Vietnam with a lot going on around you. The vibes are great.

A friend recommended this place to me since I was craving bun Bo HueThis place is so good for bun Bo hue, it has the right amount of spiciness, very flavorful and the noodles were good! I highly recommend it!We also ordered the banh cuon, but they forgot to make it, guess have to go back to get it next time!

Fantastic restaurant with a simple menu! This place boasts a clean atmosphere and a friendly, efficient staff. The bun bo hue I got had a super flavorful broth and all the toppings were delicious. The beef was so tender, but the spicy broth I'd ordered wasn't actually spicy which is my only complaint.

This review is well overdue. I come here at LEAST once a month. That's saying a lot for a guy that doesn't eat out very much. Bun Bo Hue is like Pho's sexy spicy cousin. Hard to describe it. Lots of meat, bouncy noodles, a deep broth. Lots of different items to choose from, but I always get their large Bun Bo Hue bowl. Absolutely SLAPS during the winter! Family owned, service is great, prices are great, and the food reminds me of food I had in Vietnam. IT'S THAT GOOD!! Do yourself a favor and go here ASAP.
