I live in the Beaverton area and drove all the way to Sellwood area for this place. All I have to say is, it's soo worth it. If I could it get weekly, I would. From the concept of breaking bad to breaking buns is incredible. Even the chef looks breaking bad. A cool, different, unique concept that you don't normally see elsewhere. I got the 3 buns for $11, incredibly affordable priced for portion! Comes with miso pork, shrimps, and tonakatsu beef and a salad coleslaw. It was freshly made and hot when I got them. Flavors were phenomenal. My favorite has to be the pork belly miso and tonakatsu braised beef. The coleslaw is so balanced and light at the same time. (I'm so glad I got two orders because now I can have a meal for later) I'm absolutely in love with this place. I hope everyone gets to try their buns, but I'll will back to try more items on the menu!

Came out for a late night snack on my birthday and was not disappointed!! Some of the best baos ever! The service was amazing and the sitting area was so cute. If I lived in Oregon I would come here all the time! We got the bbq one and the orange chicken one.

I came back the other night to get some buns and I love how they're open late night! The side cabbage goes so well with the buns, and the sauces are delightful. As always, the buns are soft, fluffy, and complement the saucy toppings in the middle.

Best Pork Belly Buns ever! We always grab three and will go out of our way for them. Their other dishes are great too but we go back mainly for the buns. Great value too! I love the Breaking Bad theme too.Service is usually quick and efficient. They give you a buzzer. When I was dog sitting and brought my furry friend around, they also gave him a treat which I thought was so nice! They are located in Carpe Diem Food Cart region though there are not too many other carts there. There is ample seating which is covered. Small parking area.

A food truck that serves baos! I love the breaking bad thing they have a lot of little accessories and props that go along with the show. I love the car so here it is super tangy. I thought the chicken one was a little bit salty. However, the beef one is a mustard flavor is so good and to put a little bit of the coleslaw on top is amazing. The ambience has other food trucks and picnic tables but we brought it home and made it, the service is great the people there are super friendly

I kept seeing breakings buns on instagram and I finally decided to go try! And I'm so happy I did. There's altogether 6 different protein options between pork, chicken, shrimp, and tofu. I opted for 3 of the shrimp bao and I'll definitely be back to try the tofu for 3 baos + the slaw that comes with it was $11 pre-tip which I think is a pretty decent price considering the size of the buns. And not to mention, no other restaurants are really putting bao buns on the market like they are. It was raining pretty heavily when I went so there was hardly any other people around and service was fast! Breaking buns is nestled in amongst some other food carts down in sellwood and there's plenty of seating to come with friends. I look forward to going back!

Buns are amazingly good. Go here for that alone. Slaw was a notch above average. It's a nice food cart right next to a great veggie stand. Worth the visit for fresh, affordable meal.

We've been going to this food cart for a few years now so I thought it was about time to post a review! Everything we've tried has been delicious, but our go-to favorites are definitely the Braised beef Tonkatsu, and the Vietnamese cold noodle salad (with crispy fried Ota tofu). The Tonkatsu is so savory and tender, packed with tons of flavor. The cold noodles are fresh and light with a nice crisp crunch from the veggies & herbs, something we crave especially in the summer months. They're super consistent here, always delivering great dishes. Aside from the wonderful food, Shaolin & Phil are super nice. When we're there with our dog they offer treats (side note the treats are real meat tidbits & this is the only spot our dog actually takes treats from!). Even when they're busy Shaolin always welcomes us with a great big smile, and even remembers our usual order. Highly recommended Breaking Buns if you're looking for good Bao!

Worth the drive! Drove out 30 min the opposite direction for some great authentic baos and this did NOT disappoint! Amazing food and people! Will def be coming back! Also big plus is there's a little farmers market next door so I bought some cherries while I waited for my food.
