One of my favorite chicken places in SE Portland. They have the best grilled chicken, cooked right in front of the cart on a hickory fueled grill. The women who run the cart are super nice, even with a little language barrier. They go out of their way to make you happy. The combo chicken meals are amazing, and affordable. 12 bucks get you half a chicken, five small tortillas, rice, bean and salsa. 23 bucks get you a full chicken and all the sides. The sides are good, the beans are my favorite. The standard meal comes with a hot red salsa which is good, but I always ask for the salsa verde in place of the red salsa. The homemade salsa verde should be bottled, it's that good. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five, is because they often run out of chicken by 5 or 6pm. I've been there many times at 6, only to find them completely out. So, go early and don't be disappointed.

Great flavors! Half chicken with rice, pinto beans, flour tortillas and salsa was only $12! The chicken was cooked perfectly with nice skin. The flour tortillas were soft and hot. The salsa shined as well; probably a medium with just enough kick. I'm excited to come back to try their chicken tacos.

I first stumbled upon Taqueria Bora Bora during Eat Mobile. How could you pass by the food cart when there's someone with a big chicken suit trying to get you to taste their chicken.. I immediately fell in love with the charcoal grilled chicken. So full of flavor - YUM!I told myself that I would visit the food cart, until I realize that they're all the way in Gresham! I finally visited when I was on my way to Eastern Oregon. Forced everyone else to stop by here and have lunch. Good thing everyone enjoyed it and agreed that it was very tasty. The chicken was soaked overnight before grilled over charcoals. We also tried the tacos, which were very good too. They have the usual suspects: al pastor (pork), carnitas, carne asada (beef) and chicken (same charcoal chicken) and the not so usual suspects: lengua (beef tongue), beef cheek, tripe, chicharron (deep fried pork rinds) and buche (pork stomach). They have a ton of other food that we didn't even try - definitely not short on variety. The location could definitely be improved. In addition to the fact that it's far, it's also located in a parking lot without access to bathroom. They have a tank of water with spout to wash your hands. They have some covered tables, but since we went on a sunny day, we opted for the outdoor table.I really wish they're much closer.

I don't really write many reviews on here but I had to do so after eating at Bora Bora. The reviews are true, the best chicken tacos in all of Portland. Actually, the best chicken tacos I've ever had in my life. The freshest cut cabbage and chopped chicken ever. Will be back all the time, thank you for doing God's work.

My family has eaten here for years. $20 gets you a whole chicken, beans, rice, tortillas, salsa and onions, SO GOOD! Unfortunately, we recently called ahead to order our dinner, but were given a home address to pick it up at. The lady at the house said they had been closed by the health department and planned to reopen soon. I know they have reopened and since we have loved them for years we did go back again last week and the food was not the same. Sorry to lose these guys, whatever they were doing before was working!I think they are perfectly safe to eat at, the ladies are always nice.

Usually an amazing place but today I have to say I'll stop recommending friends to this place. My wife found a hair in her taco today. Which was gross but forgivable being that this was the first of many times we've been there. Unfortunately, seconds late I bit into a taco and felt something hard. Thought it was a bone but pulled out a broken off can opener!! Not only disgusting but my wife and I were sharing the tacos with our son. Fortunately I was the one to bite down on it and not him. I will never be going back to this place and feel extremely grossed out.
