Better Half

I thought the perfect breakfast sandwich did not exist in Portland and I was wrong.The maple + cholula breakfast sandwich is in a league of its own. The sausage patty was juicy and the hash brown was crisp. I added arugula to make me feel healthy and it brought all the flavors together. There is only a hint of sweetness and a slight kick from the cholula.I can't wait to try more of the menu!

This food truck is amazing! The menu is two side-by-side lists: one is the sandwiches listed as meat versions, and the other is the same sandwiches listed as vegan versions. Breakfast sandwiches are served all day. Such creative sandwiches with the freshest and best ingredients. I highly recommend the one with broccolini. Honestly wish I lived in Portland so I could go here regularly. Huge portions and reasonable prices. Staff was super friendly and kind!

I came here while I was visiting family in Oregon. My cousin brought me here because she loves it. She said I'd love it too. And I did. Only downside is they didn't have their in house chips. But it's ok. I had the pork Banh mi. It almost looks like vegan meat lol it taste great. Not an authentic Banh mi. But still good. The bread was more of a ciabatta type. The pickled veggies made it a Banh mi. Service was good. Speedy and accurate for a party of 8. So shout out to the crew. That's it. Nothing much else to add. Keep up the good work

Love the location ~ off of Vancouver, cute outdoor courtyard to chill and eat your sandwich. Taste is good & fresh. The not so better half ~ despite 3 employees and no one else in the shop, the wait for our 2 sandwiches wasted most of the lunch hour at 25 minutes. The half-sized sandwich is priced very high $16, extra sauce $1 more, soft drink = $20 then add on the request for a tip.Expensive.

Not bad sandwiches or anything, but not special enough to want to come back. I had like a sriracha pork sandwich that was pretty tasty but a tad sweet but good with the cilantro sort of banh mi style. Ive also tried the vegan Italian, which wasn't too bad for a veggie sammie. They used the tofurkey style slices as the meat which I don't enjoy but the oil and vinegar, freshness of veggies and good bread still made it a decent sandwich.You order from iPads inside, and they also have vegan versions of all their regular sandwiches.

Super excited to try this place, the sandwiches looked amazing on Yelp and I am a huge sandwich gal, so I could not resist. The location itself is awesome, lots of huge windows and the interior was clean and modern looking. The concrete walls were a fun addition. The employees were nice but not over the top which I liked, sometimes that fakeness can be a little off putting. The sandwiches were fully loaded and came with chips and half a pickle spear (Yay pickles). I couldn't even eat the other half of my sandwich because it was so filling. The canned beverages they have available to buy offer a wide variety of choices, the Mela water was one of the best things I've ever drank so I highly recommend you try. There were lots of vegan/vegetarian options, too. Overall, Better Half was pretty dang great and I have no complaints.

The first time I came I had the Sriracha Pork. I'm glad they call it "Banh-Mi inspired" because I was pretty sad about the cold ciabatta hoagie it was served on. I missed the warm, soft French baguette, but the flavors on the inside were good. Service was welcoming and friendly. Love all the windows. I tried them again today, and boy am I glad I gave them a second shot! I got the Pork Mojo and the Chocolate Chip & Sea Salt Cookie. Wasn't able to take my break for about an hour and half, but the sandwich was still delicious (slightly soggy). The cookie has the perfect amount of chocolate chips; quite decadent!

A place that serves sandwiches and doesn't have an upcharge for gluten-free bread?!?! Holy goodness. That is almost unheard of. I love that you can order at a kiosk and there are plenty of carnivore/veggie/vegan options. And gluten free, of course. Service was friendly and prices are decent. They are expanding their breakfast sandwiches to be served near Prost sometime soon, so I will definitely check that location out as well.

Love this place. I usually go for the Italian but have had their breakfast sandwich too. Both are fantastic. You will not leave hungry and remember to get lots of napkins!

This place is great! Was a bit shocked I hadn't seen a picture of the blackened chicken sandwich on here so I'm glad I can provide the first picture. Now the sandwich itself get a 9/10, it was incredibly delicious but I felt something was missing. It hit me on the way home that had they used pepper Jack cheese instead of Swiss, this sandwich would be an instant 10/10 but overall it is delicious! Also I'd recommend upgrading the side to the fries and getting a side of the fry sauce cause my God were the fries as well as the fry sauce delicious. Overall very pleased with this place and will definitely be coming back.
