I recently stopped by Bao Bao on my way home from the convention center and it didn't hit like I hoped. I got just one vegetarian bun to-go. They heated it up for me and sent me off with a cute paper holder (that didn't do much to protect my hands from the heat). The filling was fairly bland and the dough was a little gritty, like it was day-old or stale. Maybe it was an off day! I'd give them another shot based on past experiences and a lot more options on the menu. I'd also like to try their frozen steam-at-home bao sometime.

Review is for deliveryReally yum! We had gotten spicy Pork Dumplings, Suan La Fen and baos. The dumplings and soup were so flavorful. If I lived in the area, I would be ordering them quite often! The baos for me felt like more dough compared to filling so probably wouldn't get those again. But the fillings were good.

Super tasty! Even to go this food travels super well so highly recommend if you need to pick up dinner before crossing the bridge traffic. We ordered baos, dumplings and soup dumplings- all were delicious. The staff when we arrived was very friendly and had it all packed up with sauces & chopsticks available. I can't speak of the ambiance, but it looked nice inside to stop in and eat lunch to get out of the rain.

I liked that they have added some newer items on the menu since my last visit. They're not much seating inside, but they do have a few small tables outside. We tried some of their newer items - hot and sour noodle soup and jajangmyeon. We also got some soup dumplings and wonton soup. The flavors of the soup were great and worth trying

Good for a quick and easy dumpling fix. Service is quick especially if you order to go. The wonton soup could use some work as far as flavor of the broth. But again this is for quick and convenient not DTF. It's ok, and that ok.

My husband and I stopped in to try the pork bao and pork dumplings. They were both pretty tasty. The bao was nice and fluffy. We also tried the chicken noodle soup with spiced chili. It was ok, it had a bitter peppery taste to it. I didn't really taste the chili or chicken. Atmosphere was fine and service was friendly.

Really disappointing. Baos came out instantly so had been sitting in a warmer for who knows how long and the flavors were good by any means. Pork was gross and looked under cooked. Chicken curry was disgusting.

Yum buckets of steamed Bao goodness.. it's an overflowing product of flavor and texture. It's a hand held pocket of food that makes you wonder.. why can't I just stuff my face full of these... OH WAIT. You can, and this place makes you dream of Bao Bao all the time. I was looking for a place for my family to have a quick lunch... we like Baos and my kiddo loves steamed dumplings.. so guess what, they make that here, and it's good. I had the Pork and Chicken Curry buns and they were just yummy in all facets of desire. Yes, they screamed goodness, moist and wet with fillings that soak into the bun... like a tasty sponge, you want to naw on. Everything tasted house made, which is exactly what you want and need in your life. It was for me. The place was clean, and all the necessary condiments were on the tables. The service was good, nothing to scream about, but I do say, get a spot at the bar that faces Into the kitchen.. to watch all that food that you are about to eat, being made. Love it, recommend.
