Banh Mi Up

This was my first visit and only my 2nd or 3rd Banh Mi of all time. The owner was very helpful helping me choose and recommended tofu, mushrooms, and grilled onions. It was fantastic. The bread was very soft and fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection and the fresh ingredients were fresh. I forgot to say that the sandwich was a very generous size. I'll be back!

Ordered grilled pork vermicelli bowls , the meat was tough like jerky and my spring roll Was burnt ( inedible)!! I know they can do better!!

I am a regular patron of this establishment and have always been a fan of the food and the overall atmosphere. It is with a heavy heart that I feel compelled to share my recent experience, which was not up to the usual standard I've come to expect and enjoy.During my visit today, I couldn't help but notice the interaction between the manager on duty and both the customers and her team members, which left a lot to be desired. On two separate occasions, the manager's approach towards me was less than friendly and polite. This was surprising and quite disappointing, as it is not the level of customer service I have experienced here before.Moreover, it was distressing to witness the manner in which she spoke to a new employee. Despite the new team member delivering outstanding customer service, the way they were being treated by the manager was concerning. It's important to support and nurture employees, especially those who show promise and dedication from the outset.I genuinely love the food here and, as someone who lives in the neighborhood, I am keen on supporting this business. It is my sincere hope that the management can provide the necessary training and support to ensure that all employees, including those in leadership roles, can deliver the high standard of service that customers expect. Leadership is as much about inspiring and guiding as it is about managing, and I believe that with the right encouragement and training, there is a great opportunity for improvement.I look forward to my next visit, in the hope of seeing positive changes that reflect the warm and welcoming atmosphere that this establishment is known for. With no doubt, the first thing that popped out at us was the Pork Belly offerings which isn't something you would typically see for Bahn Mi. So we decided to order the Roasted Pork Belly sandwich and rice bowl. They were both very delicious and went so well with the pickled condiments! We also opted to try the Vegan Vietnamese Iced Coffee. If you like coconut milk, it was really good. We were on a tight schedule so we took it to go. We lived in St. John's for a few years before moving to Hillsboro, but will definitely add this place on the list whenever we're in the area.

Wow I didn't go for a month and was looking forward to this dish but way to give me nothing for my money. This is half the amount as last time--prices are high in the first place and this is def a rip. I try to support my local businesses but this is the last time. Super disappointed.

I met up a friend here for lunch as it was a convenient spot for us. It's nice that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outside patio is nice. It is counter service, and once you order, you find a place to sit. I ordered the combo vermicelli bowl and also a roasted pork banh mi to share. I think I may have come here on an off day as the chicken and pork for my vermicelli bowl was a bit dry. The roasted pork was a bit dry, and the bread could be toasted a bit longer. I think having extra hot sauce would help, but they were all out and had whatever was left in the table. Again, maybe an off day, I'll have to come back again.

Lovely well-packed banh mi's! The carrots and radishes were cut thicker than I expected but the taste was still great! The cole slaw was pretty average, but overall very yummy

The food here is always incredible. Location is not very wheelchair accessible, however to-go service is quick and friendly. Thank you!

Quite SPENDY for a Banh Mi, and very spendy for the area, St Johns. The composition of the sandwich lacked- much of the filling fell out of the sandwich and the bread was not soft (fresh). The high price, 20min wait in an empty restaurant, loud pop music, and sub par sandwich compelled me to write this review and share with you all. I feel 3/5 stars is generous.

My favorite is the roast pork. Ask them for extra salad instead of rice. Service is always prompt and friendly
