Tiny hole in the wall w/ all the classic Thai favorites. Decent portions for decent price but wouldn't say cheap. The drunken noodles were good, as well as a Mongolian beef special they had which was kind of a Chinese style stir fry. They also had a noodle soup that was like a pho. My brother asked for extra chili oil and the guy said "be careful" but he still added them all and then ended up puking in the parking lot. The seafood mango curry wasn't my fav tho, it was all just the kinda cheap frozen seafood and the mango wasn't ripe & no mango flavor in the curry. It is basically a little shack attached to a gas station, mostly to go but they have a couple little covered tables out front.

Ordered cashew nut chicken. It was okay, but had a weird interaction. Lady charged me more than the price on the menu. When i asked why she did that, she said "because the cashews are extra...". I ordered cashew nut chicken :/ smh

Outrageously overpriced!I had pad Thai and pumpkin curry--tasty but smallish servings $31?! And YES--a tip on the card machines of minimum 15%. I know how to skip over that. Zero chance for a tip on these Togo prices! I won't be back unless they lower prices to reasonable--$12 max value for these items.

This restaurant is mainly for take out but they do have a couple of tables inside and more on the patio. The food was delicious! The service was excellent and I would definitely go again when in the area. Best food around there.

Been here twice in the past 3 weeks. Dined in both times. First visit I got the listed special, pumpkin curry with veggies, no meat Thai hot, and an order of tofu fresh rolls. Second visit I got Al's special curry with veggies no meat Thai hot and a papaya salad medium heat. Here's the skinny and I'll give you the whole truth and nothing but the truth and start with the negative first and then fill you in on the positive. The pumpkin curry tasted great and was spiced well but not as hot as I had requested. But it was just all liquid curry; very minimal veggies. In fact I finished eating the veggies and I was left with a whole bowl of liquid curry . The fresh rolls didn't look like in the photos I'd seen, it was put together very loosely and had carrots lettuce and tofu. But it was falling apart when I picked it up. Pumpkin curry was $16 and fresh rolls $6. Al's special curry tasted ok and was spiced very well but here again their were very minimal veggies after eating the veggies I was left with a large amount of liquid curry...i didn't enjoy this curry it just had a heavy texture and was also a bit too salty. ... I ended up leaving the remainder on the table. The papaya salad was one of the worst I've ever had; was just a bunch of shredded papaya and a few tomatoes and even less green beans and tasted like wet dog it was awful and after about two bites I left it at the table. Al's special curry $18 and papaya salad $12.50. the bill was $31 and I didn't even finish it and departed still hungry and disappointed. The positives. The owner was very nice and wanted to be sure I was enjoying the food. I was able to engage with her for a bit. And you know it's not easy to say to someone that your not enjoying the food while still being tactful and sensitive. I guess if she had said to me please tell me and don't hold back then I would have felt ok sharing with her. This was another place I was hoping I would love and I'd be coming back over and over again and be telling all my family and friends about.... But sadly it's not Ambiance the place is very small inside and has perhaps two or three small tables enough for maybe 4 or 5 customers to dine in..theirs also tables outside if you want to eat out on the deck.

Super small portion for the price. I eat a lot of Thai food, both at food carts and sit down restaurants. This was the smallest portion of Pad Thai I have ever received, for 17.00. And very very saucy. There are way too many other places to eat to come back to Al's.

This is the best Thai food we've had in the US. We live 4 hours away, and every time we're in Portland we stop by. Sometimes we considering making the drive just to have this Thai food! The Spicy Basil Fried Rice and Pad Thai are to die for. Definitely stop by if you want to be blown away by the wonderful, authentic, flavorful food!
