It's exactly what I'm looking for, consistently. Their sushi isn't overly fancy, which is exactly what I prefer in a sushi conveyor belt restaurant. We always choose Kat because her service is exceptional, though all the staff are kind and welcoming. For what they're aiming to achieve, I'd say they've nailed it, and I'm always excited to come back.

I had high hopes but unfortunately Akira missed the mark. The fish doesn't taste fresh. I had a hard time eating anything without a terrible after taste. Was also super disappointed with their calamari... it was soggy and not breaded well. It tasted like imitation squid if there's such a thing.Service was also slow and their spicy mayo doesn't taste good. Wanted to like it but won't be back.

This is one of the newest restaurants in Tualatin. I was hoping for a nice new addition. First, you should know this is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I think by default that tends to mean you should expect a little lower quality. You get a lot of sushi options. Quick eats. Grab what you like. Good for kids. Decent pricing. But don't expect high quality. It's the kind of place I would only go to if my kids were twisting my arm (mostly because they like the conveyor belt and grabbing the plates) but would not go back otherwise. There are some dishes you can order a la carte. 3-4 pieces of sushi on a plate. Different color plates mean different prices. On average, $3 per plate. Small beer around $5. Decent ambiance, but felt like could have been cleaner. Plastic caps covering the plates was a bit sticky. Service was ok, but just ok. You go to cash register to pay. Has a parking lot. Adjacent to Tualatin library. Unfortunately won't be a go-to place for me.

Not my fave sushi place but it was great for a quick bite! We sat down, got our drinks and began diving in. We love that the food was ready to go and options are a plenty. You can sample so many things! Short on time? Perfect. As long as there is an open spot you can be out in 10. For real. We gobbled up, paid and left. Bellies full and pocketbook not stripped dry. Prices are reasonable. I don't see anyone rotating the sushi but I am not really sure the standards of conveyer belt sushi. Ambiance wasn't really existent but that was fine for the quick bite. We def will go again! It actually mimicked experiences I had in Japan. I loved that. Still won't be my "looking for a nice dinner place" (that's a different location) but it was great to fill our bellies and our entire party get what they wanted. Recommend.

The newest Akira sushi restaurant in the chain opened 3 weeks ago. I talked to the manager lady who was very nice and said that the month of October 2023 will be 20% off for grand opening month. The atmosphere is so much better than the Portland location same design but bright light and everything just looks new.The price is great even without this month's discount the food is delicious and the conveyor with the item description of what the dish are is just perfect. Love how they have a star on the item description of what items are cooked and not raw. It's in walking distance to Cabelas and around the corner from Mud Bay Take the pup to Cabelas

Good spot for quick conveyor sushi. Prices are very reasonable and service is efficient. We had about 8 plates, 3 orders of saki and 3 beers and it was $60 with tip. Not bad at all! Atmosphere could use some help. No music or tvs which made it seem like you were in a cafeteria. Will be back!

If you want sushi that's been spinning for 2 hours without anyone picking it up with little toppings and seriously poor taste and no fish eggs or a show of "wow this looks amazing" then come here.. even their mayo spicy sauce is extra watered down. It's awful.Spent $47. Even the watermelon was $3.88 plate? Those lower prices for plates are ... where?

We get there at 8:20 they close at 9 and all 4 of the workers look at us crazy as we sit down to order food. Asked us what we wanted to drink and I said water and as he began to run off my wife ask for a Fanta orange and he comes back with 2 waters before she gets to ask for the Fanta he cuts her off and says you have to order now we are closing the kitchen. We order a couple things and he is no telling us no order everything you want we are closing the kitchen so we rush to order a couple more things. The food comes out and somethings are forgotten and stuff we didn't order comes out. After explaining what the messed up and forgot I get the chewiest baked oysters which were just warmed in the microwave stale tempura shrimp. Get a salmon hand roll and salmon poke when she ordered tuna. Never going back realized should have left when he said order now.
