This is my first time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, the ambiance, and the quality of the plates for the pricing. They have a big parking lot shared with other businesses in the same complex and walking in to friendly service and you can basically see the whole restaurant at a glance. There were booths in the middle and you can also sit around the belt for easy access. I loved that the picture plates good you what the dish was and what was in the rolls - that was very helpful in making the selection decision! Everything seemed fresh although a lot of it tasted very sweet to me, either from the rice or from the creamy sauces or Mayo. The scallop roll was especially sweet and was not my favorite. Otherwise no frills, reasonable pricing per plate color and we were full just a few plates later with it only costing $20 for some great variety. If the new sushi place across the street is too Judy and you don't want to wait, I would consider coming here for a more laid back experience!

I can't imagine any Japanese person, much less one named Akira, agreeing to eat here, but the locals seemed satisfied with the food.It is predominantly maki-sushi rolls from an active imagination. They are HUGE rice balls compared to even the fattest futomaki. Luckily there are the normal offerings, and those taste good. If you're adventuresome you can try the weirder ones, like the white tiger roll with mystery goo on top. Maybe the strawberry pink roll will catch your eye.The deal-breaker for me is what they call the chicken katsu-don. It's not. What they bring you is similar to simple chicken katsu, which is fine, but it's not katsudon by a long long stretch. If they took a minute to google katsudon [カツ丼] they'd see that the two things are very different. Katsudon is katsu that is simmered in a sauce with some sliced onions, and scrambled egg over the top. AND SERVED IN A DOMBURI BOWL. I don't understand why they can't be bothered to correct their menu. FFS that is not katsudon.Go, you'll probably enjoy the food. But it's not for me.

I absolutely hate giving a bad ratingBut this could have been the worst conveyer belt sushi I've ever been toI was excited to eat here as they have some variety other conveyer belt sushi places don't haveIt was not busy, just a chill Sunday and also very quiet atmosphereI had made an order for calamari, seared salmon, salmon handroll and hamachi,The calamari that came out was cold. Not room temp, not look warm, but actually cold. They had served me a calamari that was already going around the conveyer belt for awhile which is the exact reason why I ordered a fresh one. That was honestly just disrespectfulI had their special for today which was a tempura roll, but it was clear that they had not rotated that for a long time either since I bit into it and there was no crunch. Just as if I had bitten into a sponge, also lukewarm to cold temperature...The seaweed salad was actually awful, I took one big scoop (because I love seaweed salad) and put it in my mouth and it tasted like sour yet bitter at the same time? Kind of hard to explain, but definitely did not taste like your average seaweed salad you get from anywhere elseHamachi is my favorite thing and it had a very fishy taste to it. Not your normal thing, and I tolerate the fishy taste often but this one was an interesting one. Unfortunate. As I am writing this, I am currently afraid of feeling sick later. I very much hope they get better in time, there are other great conveyer sushis around and I would hope this spot upholds that regard, but for now, I don't think I'll be coming back for a very long timeThe only good thing I had and that I liked was the salmon hand roll.

Really great sushi at a great price. Came here twice in 1 week because we liked it so much. There were signs to explain what dish was behind it, there were tons of options with loads of each one ready to grab.I just wish that the restaurant was a tad cleaner (the floors were covered in food & one of our sauce dishes had food in it) & that it was easier to grab a server's attention if needed, like to swap that dish or get a refill, we had to walk around to get someone.

Hidden gem alert! As a lover of conveyor sushi experiences, Akira Beaverton is very high on my list. Each style rolls on the conveyor arrives with a sign describing the ingredients of the roll or item. No guessing needed. Many different creative rolls made with fresh fish sized appropriately. Plus, it's affordable! The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. I ordered a hot tea, and they provided an entire pot for my table. With the location near the MAX, I will travel in from Portland for many future visits to my new favorite local sushi conveyor!

The belt wasn't full at 11:30, order with the kitchen and had a couple plates in 5 minutes. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Had a nice lunch for $10.

If you're searching for exceptional fast sushi at an affordable price, look no further! We visited to the Beaverton Akira Sushi in-person and grabbed takeout around 4-5 times the last month alone. Let's start with the food itself. Whether you're a fan of traditional nigiri or adventurous rolls, Akira offers an extensive menu that caters to all tastes. If you're not into sushi, they have other options such as udon and yakisoba dishes. The service is also top-notch. The staff is incredibly attentive and making sure we're happy with our picks. In terms of ambiance, Akira Sushi is cozy, chill, and casual. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion with your folks or simply craving a sushi fix, the atmosphere is inviting and welcoming. Parking is good too!

Good lorddddFirst of all you feel like you are in a hospital.. the food was literally so cold (the ones that are supposed to be hot) like they have been sitting out for hours.. barfAnd the customer service was probably the worst I've ever had. No one and I mean no one came to the table to take our order. No drink order.. no extra items order. I literally had to flag them down after 40 min. And I had to try and flag them down several times. I made eye contact and they looked and walked away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I'm super disappointed
