I visited A&L on Sunday 20 January with my ex-boyfriend so we could check out the play off games. I'd been helping him move some furniture, and we finished up and headed over to watch. The crowd was VERY excited by the football action, and it was easy to get into the celebratory mood! The staff was great, and our food was yummy! I had the chef salad, and my ex got a burger and fries. Both were fresh and delicious. We also had a couple of beers and or ciders, not a huge selection, but very tasty what they did have! I would totally come back again!

Staff is very friendly. We have wondered into this place during a couple of random holidays, and they seem to always be going all out and it's always been fun! A good place to play pool and have a couple drinks!

Great people, great service, great drinks, great prices, and 6-10 dart boards set up at a time! What more could you ask for. Also have pool and video lotto.

Super chill bar ! Mad stuff on draft compared to what I'm used too! Older cats but I mean im here on a Monday at 3 pm so I saw ppl get food and it looked yummy . They weren't bothered by some random chick ( me) singing to myself with my head phones . So they get an A plus for making me feel comfortable lol

If we go away on a trip during football season, you better believe we search to find a Steelers bar in that city. This place is the only Steelers bar in Portland, and let me tell you.. it does not disappoint.First and foremost, they open early on Steeler Sundays, due to the time difference. They opened at 9:00 am, for a 10:00 am game (1:00 pm EST), so we thought we would "arrive early" by getting to the bar at 9:30 am. LOLOLOL. It was PACKED with Steeler fans already at that point. More than half of this very large sports bar is dedicated to the Steelers and their fans. We couldn't believe how many people were here for the game. We ended up finding a high-top table in the middle of the bar where we could watch the game. A lot of other Steeler fans came in and joined our area as well. They have a ton of TV's here, and I counted about 7 different games that were being broadcasted throughout the bar. There were fans from all over, not just Steeler fans, which was really cool to see. Regarding food, they had a special menu available for breakfast items. You could either order a breakfast sandwich (around $5) or an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for around $10. Not bad at all! We both went with a breakfast sandwich, which really impressed me. It tasted homemade and was quite delicious. They also had really delicious mimosas and a great beer selection. We had a fantastic time visiting A&L Sports Pub and I hope to have the opportunity to come back! P.S. for all of you complaining about service times... be nice to your waiters and waitresses... they work really hard here and deserve some patience.

Severely understaffed! We went for NFL Sunday, which for a sports bar has got to be the busiest day and there was hardly no staff working. There was legitimately one cook for this entire packed bar. They don't even serve a full menu on Sundays and it took close to two hours to get our food. We ordered chicken strips and a cheeseburger, the most basic items they could have possibly needed to prepare. When the food finally came and we were starving it was an incredibly disappointment. Chicken strips were basically all breading, there was maybe a half inch of actual meat inside. They were also overcooked I had to use actual force to take a bite. The burger was also incredibly overcooked. Our dishes didn't come out at the same time either. Also, we ordered ranch and bbq and had to ask for them both again after delivery. I have a feeling they forgot our order because we had to ask two servers to check on it before finally something came out. The second thing that disappointed me is that as a sports bar, their tv situation is not great. They have a lot of them, but most of them are small screens, out of date and very oddly placed. It's essentially impossible to watch more than two games. The wait staff was nice so I'm not giving the bar one star, but you could tell they were struggling with the lack of staffing. This bar needs to hire at least two more cooks, another bartender and a few more servers to maintain the amount of business they get on a Sunday.

I missed the bus across the street. Wandered into this bar where I smelled something cooking ( & to wash my hands in case I was going to eat something). First, Sophia greeted me, a stranger, as if I was a regular attendee. Then I discovered they carry "Wyld" brand CBD Sodas (my favorite brand). I tried an order of fish 'n' chips, with a substitution of Potato salad for chips. Crispy batter surrounded perfectly cooked, still juicy 3 firm chunks of cod. And they have Pelican's See 'N Red Ale on tap! Sophia had a group of appreciative regulars who brought in Birthday Cake to celebrate her birthday! I was presented with a share of the cake. Gracious, attentive, friendly service. Good food in a really "down home" environment (at least at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon). Try it, I say. You will like the pub foods and service, (if what I experienced was the norm).

I walked by this place a million times before walking in to see a hockey game, based on the "NHL Package" sign on the window. The inside is like night and day from the outside. The place is roomy, has more than a dozen TVs, a whole darts room that is legit, Oregon Lottery, and one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in Portland (I'm from Jersey and my wife is from N Philly). The staff has always been nice to me even though I'm not a regular. And they actually do have the NHL package (and Root Sports, so you can watch the Kraken too), as well as free wifi. And pool tables. A hidden gem.
