fish fried right and all sides from greens yams fries whatever is the truth. i come from seattle to get this spot. service is good the people are welcoming and give home vibes.

We drove all the way from Beaverton to try this place we saw an add and it looked so good. It was Saturday lunchtime and we were the only people in the little dumpy place I guess that should have been the first sign. The floor was sticky and we were very disappointed in the taste of the food.And yes business owner, it was your restaurant we went to. I did not say the date we went it was actually several months ago and I just wrote the review!

Not my favorite fish n chips spot but glad I stopped in. I'll start w/ the pros:- solid breading on the catfish (even if they weren't the meatiest)- nice homey vibe, like eating in someone's living room, you can watch tv or sit out on the front porch.- lots of options: basa, catfish, cod, salmon, oysters, clams, shrimp and ribs and lots of choices for sides as well.- good greens, it had some good chunks of meat in there too. Cons:- ribs were pretty dry, there were maybe a couple good bites and the rest was almost inedible.- the fried okra didn't have any flavor, but I also think I'm just not a big okra guy.Maybe I'd just stick to the fish next time.

Fish so good you'll slap your mama! Where do I even begin? A rumbling tummy led me here, and I couldn't be more thrilled at my choice!Of all the menu options, the Catfish Nuggets platter was calling my name. I added a side of mac & cheese, some fried okra and a cold canned soda.A man was busy unpacking a plethora of cakes into the refrigerator and I eenie meenie miney moed my way to a fat chunk of carrot cake with cream cheese icing.There was plenty of available parking though it seemed many customers were walking in from the neighborhood. In addition to indoor dining room tables and bar window seats there is a nice patio with lots of seating with a breeze, a nice option away from the heat of the kitchen. Everyone there was so friendly and they even offer a discount for cash payments. Two televisions inside keep you entertained while you dine or wait for a take out order. Everything was outstanding. The fish & okra was lightly breaded and crispy hot. The mac and cheese was on point & my regards to the baker for that bomb cake. When you grow up in the South you have a certain level of expectation where catfish is concerned and they exceeded every one of them!

I just recently drove by and just saw "fish n chips" and I stopped looked at yelp and made a note to visit that shop soon after reading some of the reviews. Having a fish place close by that isn't good we have been craving a good fish n chip shop lately. So during lunch break today we took a chance and happy we did. First of all the place feels like in the south with a nice front porch where you can sit and eat and inside a friendly chef that greets you. Explains what the different fish are - catfish, basa, halibut, tilapia, salmon and cod are on the menu right now. And some bbq rips for a good surf n turf. This time we got a family meal JR which contains of 8 pieces of fish and besides the coleslaw it has to more Sides (in our case fries and Mac n cheese). Fish wise we choose the cod this time (halibut and salmon would not be in the family meal). The Mac n cheese were delicious and the fries are good. Then Fisch was hot flaky and so yummy. The breading not overpowering the fish and you could taste it is all fresh made the moment you order. All in all very good fish n chips. So we will be back there is so many more fish to explore - and rips lol.

Fish was dry! I ordered the halibut. My side was wrong, I got spinach was supposed the green beans. And I didn't get my soda. The waitress brought my order out to the car so I didn't check what I got. First time here. Not again. I spent with tip over 20.00. Won't be back.

Portland is in need of a Cajun inspired seafood joint. Glad to have finally stumbled by one. The catfish basket is pretty satisfying with very large portions. Only thing is that it's difficult to call and place an order ahead of time as the line is busy or no one picks up. But I the food is really great!

The food here is fantastic, but the service is consistently disappointing. Having worked in the service industry for 13 years, I rarely leave negative reviews unless the experience is truly poor. I was excited to try this place when I moved to the neighborhood, especially since I'm from the South and was craving some good Southern soul food. Unfortunately, my visits have been unpleasant.On one occasion, my boyfriend was cussed out by the lady working when he picked up his friend's food while his friend was outside on the phone. More recently, a friend of mine went to get some fried fish I had recommended. Despite the excellent food, she found the staff unfriendly and felt uncomfortable asking for additional sauce because the lady was rude. It's disheartening to see such poor customer service overshadowing what could be a great dining experience

DO NOT.... And I repeat, DO NOT give these people $1 of your hard earned $$. I'm in town and staying at an airport hotel. Ordered Uber Eats - $80!!! First... out of carrot cake but already charged me, have to take it up with Uber. Secondly... I ordered Mac n cheese, EXTRA ketchup and my order came with slaw... I got NO MAC N CHEESE, NO KETCHUP AND NO SILVERWARE. We called 3 times trying to rectify the situation, only to be SCREAMED AT AND HUNG UP ON ALL THREE TIMES. Before he hung up on me the 2nd time he said... "did you just call to bitch me out???" I promised him I would take it up with both Uber and Yelp! So... if you choose to order from them... you've been warned!!!If I could give them 0 stars... I would!!!

The food was fabulous, freah and fast. Our server was great. May even be owner? Small inside seating with TV. We inhaled our food so quickly that I didn't get pictures. Mark had a 3 piece catfish meal with coleslaw and sauteed cabbage. I had a side of greens and hushpuppies. I think he threw in a coleslaw for me. Everything was delicious! We will be back. They have BBQ and cornbread plus lots of other items. Also you get a discount for paying cash. See menu.
