I was very disappointed in my visit to one of my favorite places. We walked in and the host said how many, I said 2- she said let me check and walked away- meanwhile 3 other sets of 2 were seated (they came in after us). Girl never came back, so we asked what are we waiting for? They thought we were waiting for others not sure why. So they took us to the back of the restaurant- past many empty tables- to a room where the workers were taking a break and someone was counting money and sat us there, she then giggled with another worker and walked away. Well we took our menus and went back to get a better seat and the woman who was working said it was ok. No problem...We ordered fajitas to share, no chips and salsa- until we asked for them. When the fajitas came out they literally smoked out the whole room and everyone was coughing. Waitress did nothing except say I'm sorry- we thought- are we being punked.On top of the fajitas are 2 bell peppers S raw and thick as could be.i complained about that- she said they were decorations- ok instead of decorations can we get some cooked peppers. She said I can place an order- I said never mind.Finally on our way out there was a mint bowl at the exit- completely empty.We must have been punked and can't wait for the video.... probably time to find a better location.

Remember, 3 stars is "A-OK." WE came looking for better fajitas than our usual Mexican hangout. We unfortunately did not find better ones. The steak on the fajitas was pretty tasty, but the veggies were wet and unseasoned. There was zero char on the peppers and onions, and they were swimming in watery broth - weird. My wife had a Santa Fe Chicken Salad and liked the Chipotle Ranch dressing. The salsa was fantastic. I ordered a Makers Mark Rocks and got a Makers and Coke. They replaced it, but the pour was tiny and not a good value. If you're going to be stingy with the hooch, I will be stingy about ordering any drinks and will stick with ice water.Our server was nice and professional. The bar and dining rooms were clean. It was A OK.

Not too bad but also not that great. Service was similar. Nothing too bad to complain about but also not outstanding. We ate in the bar area in the afternoon and it was rather dark inside. We're not to finicky but it was Okay again, not too dirty but could have been a cleaner.With so many choices of Mexican food in the valley I will likely try others before going here again.

For some in my family, Popo's is a "go to" place. It's a typical chain Mexican food place with lukewarm food (even though the plates are extremely hot) and stale mass produced tortilla chips. I will say, the salsa is fresh (?) and tasty. Ask for the "hot" salsa and then mix the salsas together, then you got something good. Our server was friendly and we didn't have to ask for refills, there was a lady who came by every so often to check on our glasses.All in all, nothing spectacular BUT I have been to worse.

I ordered two party platters for a school event and was not disappointed! The presentation was beautiful and the food was great! Mini beef chimichangas are a must!

Wow, what a fun place to go to on a Tuesday! I took my friend to celebrate a birthday and pleasantly surprised by the $1.99 Margaritas specials! The dinner was extremely delicious I had fajitas which the portions was so big that I ended up taking more than 1/2 home. In fact everyone that walked out of the restaurant was carrying a brown bag, it's a trend because they want to make sure that everyone is well fed and happy. The staff was very friendly and polite, always making sure that we had everything we needed. I found out that my friend loved popos so much, had lunch there the day before! It was super sweet to hear about the stories of their childhood of going to the other popos with their father and having burritos before this popos was built ,whom passed away.It's great there is this popos on this side of town.

Had a group of 5 who wanted Mexican food, unfortunately they do not take reservations on Fridays and Saturdays (no worries) we waited around 30 minutes as stated not a minute over so that was good. Ambiance is warm and fun, chips and salsa were really good although I only tried the hot sauce and it had a nice kick to it. Service was friendly and good BUT everything IE refills had to be asked for there was no natural instinct GRANTED they were busy but we had two people it seemed helping our table on and off so one of the two or both should have noticed. Portions are HUGE my shrimp fajita chimichanga was easily two meals. It was certainly tasty with great red sauce. My partner had a carne asada dish that he said was really good. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. One NEGATIVE on a busy night I really think something else could have been on the numerous TV's besides fake violent wrestling call me CRAZY but I don't need to see fake body slams and bloody noses while I eat dinner if I had young children I probably would have said something......I'm being nice and rounding up because I think it's a solid 3.5

Holy cow! BEST CHIMICHANGA EVER! Service was fast and incredible, very friendly staff and servers, super quick with requests, drink refills and our food. The inside is very spacious and Latin decor with a beautiful paint job. Feels like grandmas house growing up with oldies music playing. The green chili chimichanga with jalapeño cream cheese was so juicy and flavorful prepare to eat the entire thing! This would be a death row meal for me, absolutely delicious! Keep up the good work!
