I ordered this for delivery for an easy dinner and it was a surprise! It traveled well and tasted great. I got the chicken pot pie and a slice of the apple pie, both of which are things I would order again the next time I'm in San Diego. The chicken pot pie was has a nice flaky crust and was piping hot inside, despite having traveled for ~20-30 minutes. The chicken pieces were large and there was a generous amount of veggies. The apple pie was nice, and perfectly sweet. I wasn't expecting much from this place and thoroughly enjoyed it.

2.5 stars8/3/24Arouns 3pmFood was okay. I saw this recommendation off of instagram and thought I would be spontaneous and try it out. I'm from out of town so I wanted to try something new.Me and my friends got the steak and ale, chicken, and aussie meat. With cream corn, mash potatos, and kale slaw as sides. Got some drinks. There were only 2 steak ales left so I decided to get the chicken so my friends could get the steak ale. All of got our food except one of us and we waited ten to fifteen minutes for her food. They messed up her drink and replaced it for her. Sadly, only one of our friends was able to get the steak ale. For some reason, after waiting 10 - 15 minutes, they told her they ran out and that making a new one would take 20 mins. So the service wasn't too great.Tried the steak ale, aussie meat, and chicken pie. They were all okay. Nothing special. I was disappointed. I thought it would be saucier. It was kinda dry.We also got the salted Carmel apple crumble. That was a let down. I didn't think you can mess up Carmel with apple pie. But for some reason the ones that we got, the apples were not working well or blending/tasting good with the other ingredients. It was missing something. The mashed potato side was bomb. Soooo good. The cream corn was okay. My friend really enjoyed the kale slaw she said it tasted fresh and very healthy.

***UPDATE 7/31/24*** I'm updating my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. Management was very kind and responsive to my feedback, which was very much appreciated. I'd love to give 5 stars, but have to stay true to my experience. I'm a mom and I really didn't appreciate how the employee responded to my daughter. If it weren't for that, I'd happily give 5 stars. Again, the pies, cookies and ice cream were amazing. 7/30/24-Stayed a few nights in Point Loma and decided to check out Pop Pie, yesterday. Cute little place. The pies were amazing! We ordered the lemon curd & mixed berry hand pie and a slice of salted caramel apple crumble pie. I debated on returning, this morning, to grab some goodies for our drive back home but decided not to, for this reason: poor customer service. The lady that "helped" us wasn't exactly warm and welcoming. In fact, she looked as if we were inconveniencing her. I ordered an iced matcha latte for my daughter, and it lacked flavor. It didn't taste like a matcha, at all. My daughter kindly asked if some sweetener can be added to her drink, and the lady looked annoyed and responded " I can add a little". Super unpleasant! My husband and I were pretty turned off, which was unfortunate. I'd give five stars for the food, one star for the service.

Jane with the face piercings is the worst. You will know who Jane is. I will not return to this location until Jane is gone.--To Erik: My bf & I visited the Point Loma location on Sunday, July 28, 2024 approximately between 10:50 - 11:30am. The female who took our order, who we later learned her name was Jane, had a really bad attitude the entire time. When she took our order, she made you feel like you were bothering her. Mind you, there were no other customers at the time. We ordered 3 items & ate them there. After each item was heated up, she would just leave it on the counter without calling it. When my bf brought over The Boss pie that was left on the counter, I told him that they forgot the syrup. Having previously visited other locations, I remembered that The Boss comes with syrup. He went back to ask Jane for the syrup to which she rudely responded with, "Yeah, give me a second" as if he was giving her a hard time. The store was empty, and we were the only customers, so we weren't interrupting her nor trying to give her a hard time, but her attitude made us feel like we were. Ultimately, her coworker gave us the syrup, not Jane. It's important to note that the first syrup container had a pubic/underarm-like hair partially inside the container. While we were eating, a man (Man 1) came in and looked at the menu. Shortly after, another man (Man 2) came in and went directly to the register with a question about gift cards/business cards. Despite sitting near the register, we couldn't understand Man 2's query because Jane dominated the conversation with impatience and rudeness instead of asking clarifying questions. Man 2 eventually asked for her name and left.Jane then started complaining to Man 1, falsely claiming that Man 2 was her first customer of the day, even though she took our order earlier. She continued to complain loudly about Man 2 to her coworker, who was on break, blaming him for his behavior. If Jane had been more patient and asked Man 2 clarifying questions, she would have found out what he was inquiring about. It was clear to my bf and me that she was the one being rude to Man 2 but wanted attention by playing the victim. Our interactions with Jane were bad enough, but witnessing her behavior with others confirmed we wouldn't return if she was there. Her negative attitude made it hard to enjoy the food, and it was clear she didn't want to be working there.

We were in the area recently and passed by Pop Pie and had to stop in to try. Parking was hit or miss as it is located on a corner of two busy cross streets. The staff was friendly and vibe was vibrant as they share space with an ice cream spot next door. Unfortunately the classic chicken pop pies were sold out and 30 minutes from a new batch, so went with the Steak and Ale Pie. The crust was excellent and the filling rich and flavorful. The meat was tender and well seasoned and properly balanced with veggies. I'll be back and try the classic chicken pop pie next time I'm in the area.

We loved our pies this afternoon. Both pies came out very quickly and were just the right temperature. The steak and ale pie was delicious and the buttery flaky crust paired perfectly with the flavor of the beef. The chicken pot pie was excellent too and had an elevated nostalgic taste to it. Desserts were excellent too. I'm glad this is walking distance from home.

Yummy, yummy and yummy! If ever in this area in SD will stop in again. The only thing is with high prices it's pretty penny for a slice with small scoop of ice cream

Pop Pie has been on my list for ages and it didn't disappoint! The employee was super friendly and helpful! Who wouldn't be happy working here...you're surrounded by pies ALL DAY LONG!My better half and I ended up here after a great hike...it was still early enough in the day so we opted for savory breakfast and then took a sweet home for later that night. The establishment is bright and airy. You can see all their offerings in the display case. It wasn't easy to pick because everything looked delicious. We settled on a few things....Let's start with savory. We shared two- the boss breakfast and red chile. The boss breakfast has everything you could possibly want! All breakfast in a flaky crust. It's served with maple syrup. The red chile was so filling...absolutely delicious. Each pie was around 10-12 dollars. Large enough to share but if you're super hungry, you'll want your own.On to the sweet pie...coconut custard pie with salted caramel. Coconut custard pie was a childhood favorite of mine. I haven't had it in close to 20 years...it's nearly impossible to find out here. Most people think it's coconut cream pie- but it's not. The employee was SO kind listening to me ramble on and on about this...but it really made my day. My better half had never heard of it before so sharing it with him was extra special. The verdict? It's simply delicious and brought back wonderful memories. I wouldn't hesitate buying a large pie for a special occasion!5 stars! We'll be back!

Stopped in for the first time the other day. GLAD I DID!I got my order to go, and I did not order any of the savory pies because I was. I got both the lemon curd and berries with a sweet glaze and the guava & cream cheese. That turned out to be my favorite! The sugary crust on top is amazing. I'm going back next week to try some savories!Plus, the staff was really friendly.
