Ponko Chicken

Chicken tacos are excellent! Service were great and vibe was awesome. Percy was great!

YOU ARE IM-PECKABLE! Ordered from Ponko Chicken on DoorDash tonight! Was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this spot was. We ordered a bunch of things to try. The hot dog, chicken plate, green beans and the cup cakes. All delicious! I was way too hungry so no pictures sorry. But trust me it was all very good and flavorful!

Ponko is a great fast casual spot in Atlanta that I'd recommend for lunch to anyone needing a quick bite in midtown. The food is very tasty though so beware that most items are fried so if you're looking to stay on the healthier side be prepared for a bit of cardio after this. Service is always prompt - be sure to try their variety of sauces, all are delicious!

This spot claims to validate parking but 80% of the time I have issues getting out of their parking deck "with validation". It's always an issue and this last time I couldn't even contact a deck attendant to assist me with getting out. IDK what the deal is but the parking validation they give you does not work like it should and is giving me major "pause" vibes to go back there because I had to pay $20 "with validation" to exit the deck on my most recent visit.

First time ever eating at a Ponko Chicken and I liked it. This was the last stop on our bar crawl. There were two bartenders. One bartender kept forgetting people's order and so felt badly for him. The other bartender was picking and choosing who to make drinks form. There was no order whatsoever. The food tasted amazing. I had chicken and a waffle and I loved it. The drinks weren't bad either. They had run out of a lot of things, but I was okay with what I got. I had a pineapple mimosa. Mostly champagne, no juice at all, but it was good. They have an outdoor seating area that was nice. There was food and plates on several tables, but employees tried to keep the areas clean as best they could. The restaurant was packed. I tried the fried pickles too and they were just okay. They were cut in spears and didn't have a lot of breading on them, so it was like eating a hot pickle. I liked the layout of the restaurant. It wasn't big at all, but the counter to place orders being at the back helped with traffic flow. I'd come here again to try something else.

FOOD: Made to order, I believe. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order to be made. I got the original sandwich with fries. Fries were super crispy and hot. Sandwich was well cooked and hot as well. For fountain drinks they offer Coke products from a standard machine. SERVICE: Staff was kind and got my order out quickly. One thing I appreciate is how they asked me what options I want for my chicken (bbq, spicy, or sweet original) and actually said it instead of me expecting to know them. It's the little things that matter. AMBIANCE: Plenty of spots to sit at and I imagine it gets busy during peak hours on the weekend. There's a few outdoor seating spots but the area was being pressure washed when I came. There's booths, table tops, and regular tables. There's a modern feel to the store which is different than the one in Chamblee. OVERALL: I recommend and would definitely visit if I wanted something fast casual that wasn't CFA. For parking, I parked in the Publix lot and walked over.

I've only ever ordered take out from Ponko but it has NEVER disappointed! Everything always tastes amazing and fresh and I can never get tired of their ponko sauce. I usually always get my order with a side of green beans and Cole slaw.

If you had to know one thing about this place it's to GET THEIR BUTTERMILK RANCH Anyway, this is on the expensive side of food available in this area for a college student. But, if you get the plate it is certainly A LOT of food and a lot of delicious food! Their fries are so crispy and thin and well seasoned. Their fried chicken is honestly amazing and very well fried. But again what seals the deal is that their buttermilk ranch is honestly one of my favorite things in the whole world I could drink it straight. The place is nothing extraordinary or nothing bad it's cute and clean. They do have trivia and discounted tacos on Tuesdays if you're interested in that. The service is pretty quick unless you're in a really big group but it's never too long a wait.

Ponko Chicken is an absolute gem in the Atlanta area! The chicken is cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The sides are equally impressive, offering a delightful complement to the main attraction. The overall experience was nothing short of delightful. If you're in Atlanta and have a hankering for delicious chicken, this is the spot to be!

I love the vibe at the Ponko Chicken in ATL! I'm a regular at the Pooler location and had to get a taste of the original location. I was not expecting a large bar area and live music - so cool! The staff was beyond friendly. My food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I love how crispy the tenders are. The rice was also sticky - huge bonus for that! Ponko, I love you. Please don't change a thing! 5 stars for food, service and ambiance!
