The place: small, quaint. Not for large people. I'm 5' and struggled to get behind the table into the booth. It may have been compounded by my flowy skirt, but still, wasn't the most comfortable. At the beginning, 7pm on a Saturday night, I could hear nearly everything my neighbors uttered, so probably not the best place to divulge trade secrets. Service was superb. Helpful. Timely. The taste: we shared the burrata (10/10 - loved the whispers of balsamic), the crab croquettes (8/10), the scallops and squid ink gnocchi (10/10 IMO), the duck wings (8/10 - only bc I was getting full), the smoked lamb (6/10). My face: solid smile. $136 for two, with a cocktail each. And leftovers. Seems reasonable for the experience, though I did nearly lose my voice fromHaving to yell across the table. It is chicago, after all.

The cutest corner spot! The quiche was absolutely delicious and so light/fluffy, also came with a side salad. Had to dock one star as the acoustics were pretty poor and the portions were a tad small for what we were paying.

I would probably go 4.5 but I'll round up because we did have great service. We came during restaurant week and got the four course meals. In all we got:Crab croquettes: 4/5Kale apple salad: 5/5Burrata: 4/5Bok choy: 4/5Steak dish: 5/5Agnolotti: 4/5Crème brûlée: 3/5Chocolate dessert: 4/5The salad and steak are must orders! Everything else was tasty too! The agnolotti was on the sweet side which was different but still good. The bok choy was a bit too smoky for my taste but still good. The crème brûlée lacked some flavor but the salted caramel ice cream and crispy bits on the chocolate dessert was delicious and I'm not even a chocolate person. For wine, I got the orange wine (mellower one) and the still rose. Both were good! My husband got the Chianti which was also good.We would def come back! They also have a good happy hour specials so we will try to come for that.

Came for restaurant week and chose the three-course menu - it was lovely! A charming spot in Bucktown :) Started with a bottle of Corsica - it wasn't too sweet but still smooth and had a great fruity flavor. First course was the Crab Coquettes and the Apple & Fig Salad. The salad was good but nothing really noteworthy - the crab croquettes were fried great though and had the perfect texture. The highlight of the meal were definitely the main dishes - Duck Confit and Pumpkin Agnolotti. I enjoyed the lentils with the duck, and the duck itself was tender and with the cranberry sauce... oo so good! The Agnolotti also had a nice sweetness but the heaviness of the sauce kind of balanced it out. The deserts were great too. Overall, I think the menu was pretty well crafted for restaurant week and I thought the portions were reasonable. Will definitely be back!!

Pompette is a small space with great service. Our server was friendly and helpful, suggesting wine pairings, and helping us determine the right number and type of dishes to ensure we were well fed, but not uncomfortably full! We had the cheese and charcuterie selection, which was a great start, particularly the gouda and triple cream cheese, both were outstanding. We followed that up with crab croquettes, a summer spaghetti, smoked lamb, and fried squash. Everything was unique and perfectly prepared. Thank you Pompette for a great experience!

Pompette is a cute neighborhood wine bar with quality food and drinks! We had been wanting to come here and knew we had to when it was named a Michelin Bib Gourmand! We came on a Thursday at 5:30 for happy hour (4-6pm, only at the bar) and there was plenty of seating. It definitely filled up closer to dinner time though, so I recommend making a reservation if you are coming at a normal meal time. I loved the local neighborhood feel of the space, while it also felt elevated and classy as a wine bar should. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful which made the experience that much better. Their happy hour menu has a variety of snack and drink options. Most of the cocktails are $10. I was in the mood for an espresso martini ($18, not on the happy hour menu) and it was amazing!! One of the best I've had in Chicago. We split the small charcuterie which was actually a really good size with 2 cheeses, a good portion of meat, several different spreads, and baguette. Pompette was worth going out of my way for and I will absolutely be back! I'd love to come for brunch too. Great experience!

We came here before a show on a Sunday night. It was so cute and pretty quiet, but we did have a reservation. The Olive Oil Martini was amazing! Great service and lots of variety in the dishes so there was something for everyone. Favorites were the Marinated Olives & Manchego, Apple & Fig Salad, and the Squash Agnolotti.
