Hopped out for a quick bite to eat on Valentine's Day. While we occasionally come for brunch, it's been a while since we've had dinner at Pomegranate. Always super-tempting to see desserts in the cabinet as you walk in the door. The front-half of the restaurant was pretty busy, sounded like the bar area was too. Super-friendly and warm welcome - seated in the front-half within a few minutes at a nice corner table for two.Our server for the night - Misha, stopped by the table within a minute of us being seated - nice friendly greeting, dropped off some water, and circled back after giving us a few to get situated. V.Day menu as well as the regular a-la-carte menu - with meat, veggie, and vegan options. We grabbed a pear and burrata salad, a reasonable price bottle of Malbec to get ahead of mains, and couple of cocktails to get warmed up - bar service was right on time.Despite being a busy night, the kitchen and front-of-house had it together. Food pacing was perfect. Burrata was delicious, just the right size for two. It was a nice combination of juxtaposition of crunch vs. soft textures and poached pear acidity vs. creamy cheese mouth-feel. We ordered mains and drank our cocktails and moved onto the wine - all great.Lu ordered off the specials - crab-cakes, a little side of risotto for some carbs, I took the flat bread. The crab-cakes were delicious, w/ nice light vinaigrette on a simple salad. Presentation was great. I could have easily eaten a whole bowl of the risotto - creamy al-dente texture, nice salty cheese with mushroom umami. The flatbread was cooked to perfection, nice balance of salty prosciutto, melted cheese, and a light arugula topping. We topped off a great night a glass of port, and split a small trifle dessert. Top marks all-round for Misha and the rest of the ladies out front. Pace of service was right on the money - not too urgent, not too relaxed, just right. Lu even got a little hug on the way out. The feelings are mutual, we loved coming to Pomegranate, thanks for having us!

Lovely discovery! Had a wonderful brunch with my elder mom. Service was very kind and prompt. Salads were delicious. Avocado toast a bit too crisp for mom, but tasty.

My friends and I met here for brunch this past Sunday and we had made reservations so seating was quick and easy. Our server was considerate and attentive taking our orders. I am a vegansaurus, so, there were not many breakfast items I could enjoy outside of granola, fruit, or salad. It would have been nice to see more whole food plant-based items on the menu, however, my friends seem pleased with their traditional brunch options. I appreciate how they brought out all of our orders at the same time. Nice touch! The initial thought upon parking at Pomegranate Bistro is the feel of an industrial strip mall. However, once you enter the cafe, it is a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly faces and the smell of delicious food being prepared with great care.

In these post-COVID days where restaurants took a massive hit, I'm always looking for places that have continued to provide great food, service in a pleasing package. Pomegranate is one of these places. I've only tried them for breakfast and brunch and the food was awesome. The staff have always been friendly, professional and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and tidy and easy to navigate for folks in wheelchairs, or on crutches. I think this is best casual breakfast haunt on the Eastside. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed Pomegranate Bistro tonight with family and, being from the South, we were intrigued by the southern flair of their menu here in the Pacific Northwest. Decor has an understated but somewhat upscale vibe that far surpasses the bistro's rather unassuming outside persona. Our group of six was well taken care of by a friendly and efficient staff. We had signature flatbreads (somewhat salty) and fried chicken at our table, and I had the Low Country Shrimp and Grits. Grits were extremely creamy and the finish was somewhat mild, but flavorful. The Bistro has a good wine list and the iced tea I enjoyed was good in a "southern" way. We shared a large homemade cinnamon roll for dessert and it was excellent. When next in the area, we will return. Recommended!

As a longtime Eastside resident, I'm a little ashamed that I had never eaten here. It's tucked away in a business park, but has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for date night or a special event. And the food, can we talk about the food? I ordered the mushroom flatbread and it was genuinely one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The flatbread was perfectly toasted and flaky. The mushrooms were delicious, and the arugula added both texture and a nice, contrasting flavor. I will definitely be returning

I got coffee, bacon and eggs. All great it hard to mess that up. My partners meal tasted pretty good from the bite I stole while she was in the restroom. Didn't get the name of it.The service was good considering we were at the bar.It was well-lit, full of window and very lively for a Sunday brunch hour.

Well 8.5 years after my last review and a divorce and global pandemic later, I triumphantly returned for brunch with my girls. There were 4 of us meeting at 10am this morning on this wet & rainy day (yuck!) after a full week of glorious weekday sunshine. Thankfully, inside Pom Bistro, it was still just as cozy as I remembered it. Food was delicious and plentiful (HUGE portions) and our server Dulce was a total doll - warm, personable, funny, and even let us split the final check by our individual seat numbers on her little portable handheld machine thingy that I wish more restaurants would use for check paying ease! You can't get better than avoiding the awkwardness of the fair-bill settling process at the end of a friend's meal haha.Food-wise: Friend #1 & Friend #2 both got the Pom Breakfast Plate ($17; two eggs, bacon or chicken sausage, toast or biscuit, house jam & butter andyour choice of grits or rosemary hashbrowns) exactly the same way with eggs scrambled, bacon, biscuit and an extra egg scrambled instead of the grits/hashbrowns albeit with friend #1 wanting extra crispy bacon & friend #2 wanting extra soft bacon. Dulce was on on top of all the modifications like a champ! As far as overall taste, if Pom Bistro messed up THIS quintessential American breakfast plate, I think there are larger issues at play lol.Friend #3 got the Biscuits & House Sausage Gravy ($20; handmade sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuit, scrambled eggs, white cheddar) and I think my newborn baby was about the size of the pile of food that arrived on her plate. It was insane! She ate a good sized portion but by the time she requested a carryout box, it looked like she hadn't touched it. I tried a tiny taste of the gravy and it was quite yummy indeed. Amazing value if you don't mind leftovers especially as I feel B&G (& scrambled eggs!) all reheat really well.As for me, I opted for the Classic Ham Benny (ham, poached eggs, hollandaise, buttermilk biscuit, rosemary hashbrowns), which was one of about 4 benny versions on the menu- the others were salmon, fried chicken thigh, and avocado-oil cured tomato. The classic eggs benedict is my barometer for every new brunch place I try to judge restaurant caliber (the "apples to apples" approach if I may) and it was a very very solid dish. I approve! I requested that the hash browns be fried extra crispy because soggy brunch potatoes is just a sad, sad thing and again it was made exactly to my liking. I've got about half the dish in my fridge as leftovers so the $22 stretched out to 2 hearty breakfasts is quite a nice value imho. I also tried the Grapefruit Honey Vanilla Shrub & Soda from their "zero-proof cocktails" (aka non-alcoholic) menu and I wasn't a big fan of the taste profile. Something just tasted off to me and I wish I would have ordered the Blood Orange Raspberry one instead. Next time!I highly recommend Pom Bistro for brunch for any occasion or party size. Their dining space is large so with a reservation, even larger groups shouldn't be an issue. And with something to please anyone and everyone, it can't miss! And after 2.5 hours of munching & gabbing, every single one of us left with leftover boxes to enjoy later so plan accordingly or split/share.
