I love this place, whole chicken today. they never disappoint and will make it all dark meat with a slight up charge.prices are very fair for what you get.just beware of the steps upon entry

Ate here after a late night at the bars. Amazing charcoal grilled chicken with an authentic flavor! Picante Salsa hit the spot. From the outside looks like a hole in the wall and wasn't sure what to expect. But trust me the food is exceptional.

This was my first time at this restaurant related to the recommendation of a friend. Very friendly interior, good vibes, and amazing food for the price point. Everything was so fresh! They don't have water in cups so you will need to buy water bottles but that's not a problem. Waitress was very friendly and service was great; I was explained what was included in the tacos (cilantro, onions, and salsa). Amazing green salsa by the way! I wasn't the most hungry so I tried the two pollo asado tacos and my friend got the burrito. I'm not going to lie the burrito looked so good maybe I also should've ordered it. Whenever I am back in GA I definitely will come back!

My girlfriend and I are fans of this place! We always order their full chicken and jugo de Maracuya(passion fruit). As soon as you walk in, you can tell that the chicken is freshly roasted. Service was also great! It a great environment and pretty clean! Def recommend this place. One of the best spots of Buford highway.

Amazing hole in the wall spot. Chips and salsa verde, 3 tacos, and a bottled water for $10 is the biggest steal ever. It's super authentic and the carne asada taco was definitely my favorite.

We came here the other night for the first time, after all the times that I pointed out this restaurant to R and he just wrinkled his nose. Before we visited this restaurant, he finally admitted to me that he hadn't wanted to come here because he thought this was just a grocery store that had a big grill on the side of the building. Boy was HE wrong. Smh ...Parking was easy to find in front of the restaurant - free parking lot. When we walked in, there were many people inside mostly waiting for their food for take out. There were 4 tables with customers eating at them. We were immediately approached by an employee who greeted us and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We sat down and the employee brought us menus. Lucky for us, R is fluent in Spanish. The employee, who was our server, spoke English, but she was more comfortable speaking Spanish.After a quick look at the menu items, we each ordered the 1/4 pollo asado (grilled chicken, like on the grill with fire and smoke) meal - mine with dark meat, R's with white meat, which came with rice, vegetables (a small salad), corn tortillas and hot salsa.While waiting for our food, I noticed there were a lot of people who stopped by to place their take out orders. The employees move fast and are very efficient, since they got a lot of take out orders dispatched and out of the way, and had our order served to us within about 10 minutes of us ordering. The chicken had a grilled and smoky flavor that I could taste with every bite. Even though it was dark meat, the leg was a little dry, but the hot salsa and the rice helped provide some moisture. The thigh was juicy, and someone even slipped a chunk of breast meat that wasn't dry either. The pollo asado (grilled chicken) has great flavor! During our meal, R looked at me and asked, "Why didn't you tell me before that this was a restaurant that made pollo asado?" Smh ...Lots of tables and booths are in a large dining room, and a separate raised area next to the windows has many two-person tables. We were able to sit in a booth away from others. Every time I've been anywhere near this restaurant, even from across the street, I could smell the great smelling, mouth-watering smoke from the smoker/grill on the side of the restaurant. Minor warning: If you spend more than, say, 15 minutes in this restaurant, you and your clothes will definitely have a smokey, grilled smell that your dog will love to sniff when you get home.

As a gringa, I'm not sure I'm the best judge of Mexican food, but oh my gosh this was amazing. We went late on a Tuesday which is the day you can get half a chicken free if you buy a whole chicken. $25 for a whole and half a chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, limes, chips and salsa. It's Friday and I still have chicken. For the price, you're getting such a great deal. I was lucky to go with a Latino so I'm not sure if they speak English or not, but the menu has photos so feel free to point and try your best. They were kind, we were served quickly and the food delicious. Don't let the exterior fool you; best Mexican food I've had in Atlanta.

Tacos were okay. Service was below-average. Better food, service and ambiance across the street at El Rey Del Taco.
